Before the End of Chapter 48

The deep and dilapidated cave was filled with a gloomy and terrifying atmosphere. Blore and his four companions had no other options but to use their best skills to drive away the insects.

A strange sight, a dragon skull floating in the air, burning with golden flames, like a mysterious guardian descending.

The golden light flickered. Since Blore couldn't see and couldn't help his companions much, he simply used all his mental strength. A large group of black insects instantly turned into purple electric light, and ashes floated in the air.

Sometimes the golden flames illuminated the entire cave, dispelling the darkness. The figures of the people, previously shrouded in darkness, now emerged clearly. The insects on their bodies, under the blazing light, quickly turned to ash, floating in the air like dust.

The light of the flames illuminated everyone's surprised faces. The appearance of the dragon skull seemed to bring a mysterious power. Anyway, the oppressive feeling made the four of them uncomfortable.

Under this light, everything in the cave became clearly visible.

The ancient stone walls were etched with traces of time, and the ground was littered with broken stones and dust. Yet, the burning dragon skull, like a glittering pearl, stood out against this dilapidated environment.

"No, I mean, this is a damn place, no one would want to come here, right? Hey, and this, brother, why don't you have any on you?"

After shaking off the bugs that suddenly appeared and disappeared, Ma Tuan found that there was no trace of bugs on the skeleton man on his back, and immediately asked in surprise.

"Don't talk nonsense, God knows what's going on in this place!" Nan Song was very unhappy, and nothing went his way.

"Look around first, do you feel anything..." Seeing the dragon head floating in the air, Bai Di walked away without any extra movements and observed the surroundings, but his voice stopped abruptly.

"I don't want to see this place at all," Ma Tuan turned his head. In the dark space, a huge black altar slowly emerged. It was like an ancient and mysterious existence, exuding an awe-inspiring aura.

The altar steps stretched upwards densely, as if leading to an unknown realm. Each step was covered with various mysterious carvings, which seemed to contain some profound meaning, but were elusive.

In the center of the altar, something large and silent seemed to rest, its sharp white edge visible. This edge gleamed faintly in the darkness, giving off a cold and sharp feeling. Its shape was irregular, resembling a mysterious artifact.

This was different from the dragon skull that started burning after the inexplicable golden stone flew past. The appearance of the altar gave people a feeling of illusion, which was hard to describe.

The whole scene is full of mystery and solemnity, which reminds people of those ancient legends and mysterious rituals.

Blore's head buzzed, and a powerful and deep voice suddenly rang in his mind.

"Please lend me your eyes to help me realize this world. Thank you!"

Everything went dark before his eyes, and he fell heavily to the ground.

The air around them began to condense, and several people were instantly fixed in place. A pentagram formation suddenly appeared, but the difference was that the pattern was more dense and complex.

One, two, three, a total of five appeared one after another, overlapping and intersecting, and with a buzzing sound, they swept over everyone, even Blore who was lying on the ground was not spared.

After the last pentagram formation found its right spot, it remained motionless, even though there was no one underneath it.

"What's going on?" Ma Tuan was staring at Blore, worried he might get hurt. Now the pentagram had a pentagram on each of their heads. What about the remaining one? Were they supposed to conjure up a person? Was he supposed to throw his newfound brother, Zhimawan, over there?

The surrounding environment changed rapidly, from a rocky cave to a forest full of fruits, then to an alchemy tribe in the mountains, and then to an insect nest. Several people felt that their lost memories had all returned, and their heads all felt severe pain.

"No matter what, I've come this far, and I'm sorry for involving the four of you. I know you're not obligated to forgive me, but I still want to say sorry."

In the dark cave, a figure slowly emerged from the shadow of the dragon skull floating in the air. He was wearing a red dress and blonde hair, but in this flickering golden light, there was an inexplicable sense of indifference in his expression as he looked at everyone.

It was Mu Yunchu. She slowly looked at everyone with a hint of determination and firmness in her eyes.

When her eyes swept over Blore, there was a noticeable pause, a subtle movement that was difficult to detect in the dim cave. However, this brief pause caused a complex emotion to surge in Bai Di's heart. He seemed to sense some kind of inexplicable connection.

"I don't have much to say. It's just that I'm not a good person, but I don't think there are any good people in the whole village either."

Mu Yunchu's voice echoed in the cave, carrying a deep sense of despair and helplessness. Her words seemed to be a farewell to the entire world, but also an acceptance of her own fate.

Before anyone could see her movements, she had already descended from mid-air to the ground, floating like a lithe butterfly beneath the remaining pentagram, and slowly stood. Her posture was elegant and noble, as if she were displaying her final dignity and courage to the world.

At that moment, the entire cave fell into silence, with only Mu Yunchu's figure standing there quietly, like a lonely monument.

A flash of red appeared above, coming from nowhere, and a bunch of spiders, snakes, and insects crawled in.
