Chapter 105: Two People Leaving Their Hometown (Part 1)

In that distant place, the deity also awakened on the same day, feeling an indescribable sense of wonder. Although the deity no longer possessed a physical form, deep within its heart, it still held a strong desire—to awaken and see the child blessed by heaven with its own eyes.

The gods control the glaciers and oceans, where Ma Tuan's race has lived for generations. It was thanks to this magical book that the gods were able to glimpse this unique child. At that moment, Ma Tuan thought he was reading a book, while on the other side, the gods quietly gazed at this unique child.

It was just a child... The God felt it was incredibly adorable at first sight, and his heart was filled with love. He wanted to hold this child tightly in his arms, gently kiss his forehead, and grant him the highest divine gift, allowing him to live a carefree, happy life.

However, time is like a naughty thief, and in the blink of an eye, Ma Tuan woke up from his sleep. When he opened the book again, he was surprised to find that the content of the book had changed and became completely different from what he had read before.

But he was still a child after all, and his attention was quickly drawn to the brightly colored picture book in his hands. Sitting on the pile of books, holding the beautiful picture book in his hands, he was soon mesmerized. The oceans, snow-capped mountains, and glaciers in the picture book seemed to bring him into a pure and mysterious world.

The pictures on each page are vivid, making him feel the magnificence and magic of the place where he lives. Although these scenes still exist, the pictures in the book seem to have their own grandeur and pride, as if people are standing on the top of the mountains, overlooking and appreciating these scenes.

He gently flipped through the album, and the cursive annotations added a touch of artistic flavor. Those beautiful words seemed to tell stories about the ocean, snow-capped mountains and glaciers, which made Xiao Ma Tuan immersed in them.

Suddenly, he discovered some candy flakes tucked into the album. He carefully removed one and placed it in his mouth. Suddenly, a sweet taste spread throughout his mouth. The coolness and sweetness of the candy flakes blended together, leaving him feeling incredibly happy.

From then on, Xiao Ma Tuan often flipped through the picture book. Whenever he felt tired or down, he would open the book, immerse himself in the beautiful world, and find a moment of peace in his heart. The picture book became his most precious treasure, accompanying him through many wonderful times.

As for the other book, it seemed that it was lost. He originally wanted to use that book to prove the god, but there were a few big words written on the last page of the colored book: There is no need to argue about right and wrong. The crazy words of the world's people are like a dragnet. The mediocre people make trouble for themselves, while the wise people seek happiness. Only you can decide the direction of your eyes.

Although Ma Tuan couldn't fully comprehend the words, he understood their literal meaning. He blinked his eyes, staring at the book in his hands, as if trying to find more answers. He slowly turned the pages, each one a new world waiting for him to explore. Finally, he closed the book, gently set it aside, and turned over to walk down the mountain of books.

Ma Tuan lay on the glass surface, feeling the coldness beneath him, yet it gave him a strange sense of comfort. He looked up. There was only a small piece of glass above, unlike the large glass below. This space was all in the ocean, with this as the boundary. Above was home, and below was the divine realm. As a result, few people went to the book city. Not many people liked to stay here, except for little Ma Tuan. Because of his background, he liked to stay here the most and could only stay here. His home was also here, and he was the least welcome here.

There were a few white clouds floating in the blue ocean, as if they were soft. He couldn't help but think of the jellyfish he had chased before. He was still a child at that time, always full of curiosity and energy, and full of interest in everything around him.

The water below was a shimmering icy blue, with pale golden beams illuminating the schools of fish. As they swam, their scales shimmered like golden leaves. Ma Tuan watched them quietly, feeling an inexplicable surge of emotion. He felt these schools of fish were like a beautiful sight in his life, a reminder of the wonder and beauty of nature.

In this vast and tranquil space, stacks of books are arranged in a spiral on the shelves, like a stairway of time, leading people to the palace of knowledge. The dark patterns on the Bodhi wood, covered in gold, are simple and gentle, exuding a tranquil and mysterious atmosphere.

The sunlight shines in through the glass below, illuminating the covers of the books and also shining on the small figure. The years are quiet and time seems to have stopped here. Everything seems so peaceful and beautiful.

Ever since that incident, Ma Tuan has possessed a secret of his own: a talking book. Whenever he feels sad, he pours out his inner pain and troubles to the book. Even more surprising, it seems there's always an endless supply of candy flakes waiting to be discovered, and each page offers a new surprise. The title page even includes special messages for him, along with beautiful and unique photographs of landscapes like fields of flowers, starry skies, sunrises, and mountains. This book is no longer just a book; it's become a part of Ma Tuan's life, accompanying him as he grows.

Over time, the book grew thicker, almost the size of a small box. It was filled with a variety of delicacies, such as hawthorn slices, deep-sea crab cakes, peach slices, and other delicacies. Whenever and wherever Ma Tuan wanted them, these delicacies would appear before him. The book witnessed his growth, played a role in his important decisions, and became an indispensable part of his life.
