A sudden loud noise, like a thunderclap, exploded in the air and instantly spread throughout the space like an electric current.
Ma Tuan and Nan Song were so frightened that their whole bodies trembled, and a strong sense of fear suddenly surged in their hearts, as if countless little claws were scratching their hearts.
The sound came so suddenly and violently that their originally relaxed nerves instantly tensed up. They felt as if their whole bodies were frozen, and they stood there in a daze.
But what these two people in danger never expected was that at this delicate moment.
Suddenly, a loud explosion like thunder was heard in the originally quiet air, and the sound seemed to tear apart everything around it.
Immediately afterwards, along with the sound of the explosion, came the terrifying sound of rocks collapsing. The huge rocks collided and rolled down with each other, making a dull and shocking impact sound, as if the earth was roaring angrily.
The two of them raised their heads at the same time, looking towards the top of their heads with confusion, but what they saw was a seemingly calm scene, with no sign of any impending disaster.
They could only helplessly listen to the sound of stones and dust falling above their heads.
The sound was like the footsteps of the god of death, approaching step by step, making people feel as if the entire huge cave was about to collapse in an instant and turn into ruins.
The group of people who were walking slowly in front seemed to be startled by the sudden noise and stopped moving forward.
The man and his companions immediately looked around as quickly as possible, trying to find the source of the strange sound.
But surprisingly, there was nothing to see except the flying dust and the occasional sound of rolling rocks in my ears.
The horrifying sound not only did not weaken, but grew louder, the dust flew more violently, and the frequency of boulders falling became higher and higher.
It was as if there was an invisible force pushing them towards the crowd.
For a moment, everyone's heart was in their throat, and they all entered a state of high alert, with every nerve tense, ready to deal with possible danger at any time.
At this moment, Nan Song casually glanced around inadvertently, but it was this unintentional action that made her unexpectedly discover the child who had been following the team.
He just stood there quietly, with a calm and even cold light in his eyes, silently watching everyone's every move.
Because he was standing in the shadow of a dark corner with dim light, no one could notice his presence for a moment.
If he hadn't suddenly taken the initiative to ask Ma Tuan and another person about something, even if the child left quietly, no one present would have noticed.
That silent disappearance was like a ghost, making it impossible to guard against it.
In a split second, Nansong didn't know why she thought so much. The child obviously didn't play any important role along the way, but there was a voice in her heart telling her that this child was very important.
Ma Tuan suddenly grabbed her, and Nan Song instantly felt her arm being held extremely tightly, as if it would break in the next second.
The group of people walking in front all had extremely serious expressions. The huge sound of cracking filled everyone's eardrums, and a storm was about to come.
However, just when they thought they were about to be buried in the rubble, the sound suddenly disappeared. Everything became extremely quiet, with only the sound of their breathing and heartbeats echoing in this silent space.
Nansong raised his head cautiously and observed the situation around him.
She found that although the rocks above her head had stopped falling, their position was still very dangerous. Cracks appeared in the surrounding walls and ground, and they could collapse again at any time.
Ma Tuan and Nan Song turned their heads slowly almost at the same time, and their eyes focused behind them.
The child who had been silently leading them forward was now folding his arms, looking at them with indifference. There was no emotion in his cold eyes, like two bottomless cold pools, which made people afraid.
"It's exactly the same as in that academy. Could these two be brothers?"
Ma Tuan lowered his voice and spoke softly with a hint of doubt and speculation. His words revealed his inner surprise and confusion, as well as a sense of joy at surviving the disaster.
He turned his head slightly and glanced at Nan Song beside him out of the corner of his eye, as if waiting for her response.
"Stop talking nonsense."
Nan Song felt helpless when she saw this. She waved her hand gently, trying to stop Ma Tuan from continuing, but her tone seemed so weak, as if it had no deterrent effect at all.
"Why are you two here?"
The child obviously noticed something strange about the two people. He saw that they were just whispering to each other but refused to answer his questions directly.
Suddenly, his originally expressionless face frowned, and a hint of displeasure flashed in his eyes.
He puffed out his chest slightly and acted like a mature young man. It was as if he had grown several years older in an instant, which made people look at him with admiration.
"Um, we got separated. Do you know Blore? Can you tell us where he went? We're looking for him too."
Nan Song looked at the child's wrinkled face, sighed inwardly, and thought it would be better to tell the truth.
She organized her thoughts and tried to express herself as clearly as possible, hoping to get the child's help.
