Chapter 140: Ghost Nest (Part 2)

The sudden sound really scared Blore and instantly woke him up from his deep memories.

For some reason, at this moment, a strange thought suddenly came to my mind - it seemed as if I had met someone there.

However, this thought came so suddenly that there was not even a hint or hint beforehand.

Who could it be, then? Blore racked his brains to think, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not recall the specific appearance and identity of that person.

He simply stopped and sat down on the ground. The sudden appearance of the voice just now did not really scare him, but... well, it must be like this!

He was just exhausted from walking for a long time, so he wanted to stop for a while. He was not afraid and did not dare to move forward.

As expected, the voice uttered a laugh. The sound was very light, but no matter how light it was, it would become loud in the silent hall. It laughed for a long time before it stopped, allowing the area to return to its original quietness.

Blore held his breath and thought hard for a while, but he still found that he had no ideas. In the dilapidated hall, Blore looked up and felt only absurdity.

The scene before my eyes moved quickly along with the sound of laughter, changing in the blink of an eye.

A door appeared in front of me.

The door stood majestically, its entire body embodying a deep dark brown, as if it were a color etched by the passage of time. However, if one looked closely, one would find that this description was not entirely accurate.

Blore's eyes moved slowly, and when they fell on the door, he couldn't help but hesitate.

It turned out that the top of the door frame was actually carved from a random assortment of stones of various shapes. These stones seemed to be randomly piled up, but they possessed an indescribable rhythm and beauty.

There are little sparkles of light between the stones, like stars hidden in the night sky; it is also like the water of the Milky Way flowing over them, sparkling and dreamy.

Blore couldn't help but widen his eyes, secretly marveling at such a wonderful sight.

He stood alone in front of the door, looked up, and felt that the door was towering into the clouds, and its height was no less than that of the gate of his school.

Not only that, the other buildings around are also built and carved from scattered stones and dark brown wood and stone.

The scale of these buildings was beyond imagination. Blore even suspected that they were not built for human habitation at all, but more like the habitat of some mysterious monster.

Just as Blore was secretly muttering in his heart that he would never be able to push open the huge door, suddenly, a slight "creaking" sound was heard.

The sound was particularly abrupt and creepy in the silent environment.

Then, something unexpected happened—the door opened slowly, a crack, without any wind!

Faced with this sudden change, Blore did not hesitate at all.

He took a deep breath, turned his head resolutely, and walked straight into the door.

However, he did not notice that where he had just stepped, every inch of land was being covered by a layer of gray-red shadow at an alarming speed.

Those shadows seemed to have life, spreading rapidly and engulfing the path he walked through.

At the same moment, the walls of the houses behind Blore, which seemed ordinary at first, began to undergo a creepy transformation.

I saw a mysterious and strange liquid slowly seeping out of the wall. This liquid had a dark tone, like a shadow in the darkness.

It flows silently down the wall. Although the speed is slow, it gives people an unstoppable feeling.

As time went by, the juice gathered more and more, gradually forming pools of thick liquid in the corners of the wall.

Then, these pools of liquid began to wriggle as if they had life, gradually condensing into strangely shaped and distorted black shadows.

These shadows had hideous faces, some with fangs, others with blood-red eyes. They moved their bodies with their claws and fangs bared, as if driven by a powerful force, eager to break free from some restraint, and then pounced on Blore...

"Are you coming?" A voice suddenly came. The voice sounded very strange, with a hint of teasing and mischief, and seemed light and airy, as if it had no entity.

The sound echoed in the empty space, making it impossible to tell where it came from.

As soon as Blore walked in, he immediately felt a biting chill on his face.

He couldn't help but shudder and subconsciously lowered his head to look at his feet.

He was surprised to find that wherever he had stepped on, circles of tiny ripples and waves appeared. Even more horrified was that the ground had turned a vibrant, almost eerie color—red that was turning purple, purple that was turning black.

Moreover, there seemed to be some vague patterns or lines deeply engraved on the ground, but because the surface was covered with a layer of gray substance, Blore could not see the specific content at all.

However, just from the vaguely visible outlines, one can feel that these carvings are full of casualness and sloppiness, as if they were made by a crazy artist.

"Then come in."

The voice, not noticing Blore's indifference, resumed its muttering:
