Chapter 170 Warehouse and "Human-Shaped" Puppets

"What? Is this true? Why does it feel like something is really coming?"

Ma Tuan lowered his voice to a very low level, as if afraid of being heard by that unknown existence, and muttered softly.

At this moment, Blore heard Ma Tuan mumbling to himself. He turned his head, looked at Ma Tuan with a puzzled look, and asked:

"What? I didn't hear you clearly. What did you just say?"

Ma Tuan was startled and quickly waved his hands and said:

"Huh? What? No..."

However, at this moment, Ma Tuan suddenly felt that the light in front of his eyes seemed to dim in an instant. The feeling was just as Blore had said before - the stars in the sky seemed to be falling.

Although he was full of doubts, Ma Tuan knew that he must not let Blore realize that he did not actually believe what he had just said.

Just as Blore was about to continue asking, Ma Tuan suddenly had an idea and quickly changed the subject:

"Hmm... Do you know why this place is called the Star Realm?"

As expected, Blore's attention was immediately attracted by this new topic. He frowned and thought for a moment, then shook his head to indicate that he didn't know.

Seeing Blore's reaction, Ma Tuan breathed a sigh of relief, then cleared his throat and took out a booklet from his pocket.

Then he began to talk non-stop:

“Just beside the suddenly vanished coastline where we are going to find out the truth, there is a vast and boundless sea.

Locals describe it as a huge piece of blue silk spread between heaven and earth.

And on this vast sea, there are many islands of various sizes and shapes scattered like stars.

Some of these islands are like shining pearls, dotted on the sea; others are like lonely mountains, standing proudly in the waves.

They are either far or near, echoing each other and forming a magnificent picture.

In the misty rain, they are like scattered pearls, dotted in the blue.

And each island has its own unique charm: some islands are covered with lush tropical rainforests, with towering ancient trees and entwined vines, as if they were an undeveloped paradise;

Some islands are famous for their white and fine sandy beaches. The sun shines on the beaches, sparkling with dazzling light, like a golden dream.

Some islands are covered with strange rocks and stones of various shapes, as if they are masterpieces of nature's magic.

As night slowly descended like a huge black velvet blanket, the entire vast ocean was gently wrapped in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Looking down from the high sky, those islands of various shapes and sizes are like shining pearls dotted on the sea.

They are staggered with each other, as if a pair of magic scissors has cut the originally flat sea surface into countless areas of different shapes and sizes.

The stars are scattered on the vast sea like fine silver sand. When the breeze blows, the waves sparkle and shine with a dreamy light.

The shimmering water lights are like countless exquisite mirrors inlaid in the embrace of the sea, reflecting each other.

Each "mirror" clearly reflects the vast and brilliant starry sky above the head. The interplay of the mirrors gives people an illusion - as if these mirrors are mysterious passages connecting this world and the other world. With just a light leap, one can step into another world full of unknown and fantasy.

Sometimes, a gentle sea breeze passes by quietly, bringing gusts of light breeze with the unique salty and humid smell of the ocean.

The fresh and slightly cool air penetrates into people's nostrils, making people feel relaxed and happy.

The city became famous for its charming starlight that shimmers like a mirror on the sea at night, and earned a poetic name - 'Starry Land'.

At this moment, Ma Tuan was supporting his cheek with his hand, and his ciliary eyelashes cast a small shadow.

Although it seemed to be wandering around aimlessly, it actually drifted from time to time towards the direction where the star in the sky fell that Blore had just mentioned, and seemed to be secretly thinking about something wonderful in its heart.

Blore was listening intently at this moment.

Bai Di stood aside, not knowing whether he was listening to the two people talking or doing something else.

But suddenly his expression changed.

“Get out of the way!”

Along with this warning, the originally calm air seemed to be torn open, and Bai Di's figure flashed away like a ghost.

In an instant, a sharp and piercing sound of breaking through the air suddenly sounded from not far away, and a dark yellow object wrapped in a fierce momentum rushed straight towards this side like lightning breaking through the night sky.

Bai Di's body swayed slightly, and his movements were as light as leaves blown gently by the breeze. It seemed casual but contained endless agility.

Because his feet were standing firmly on the rocks at the edge of the cliff, his body naturally leaned backward at this moment, as if he was about to completely merge into one with the vast earth.

It happened in the blink of an eye. Just when the hidden weapon was about to touch Bai Di's body, he suddenly turned sideways at an astonishing speed.

At the same time, his arm stretched out like an extremely agile snake with lightning speed, and unexpectedly caught the fast-moving hidden weapon in his hand with such accuracy.

His series of movements were done in one go, smoothly and effortlessly, so fast that it was beyond imagination.

In that split second, time seemed to have pressed a slow-motion button for him. Everything around him became slow and clear, with only Bai Di's figure rapidly shuttling through this stagnant space and time.
