Chapter 209 Epilogue (Part 1)

The clear sound of birds singing came from afar, like a string of crystal wind chimes colliding in the wind.

But in such a beautiful world, there are only Nansong and Matuan left.

Ma Tuan rubbed the cute white sea otter in front of him with the walnut core he picked. There were a few dandelion-like glowing spores on the sea otter's soft fur.

The inner wall of the tree hole where they were was covered with glowing blue moss, which cast their shadows long on the wood grain.

Nan Song sighed and looked up at the blue sky outside the treetops - there were some clouds floating there, and the warm sunlight was shining on her face.

"Wait a little longer,"

He muttered quietly,

"Maybe they just... got tripped up by something strange?"

Before he finished speaking, a warm breeze with the fragrance of flowers blew by, and the light points on the treetops fluttered down like fireflies, shrouding the figures of the two in a gentle starlight.

"I'm telling you, something happened to Bai Di that you can't even imagine."

Ma Tuan suddenly thought of something and looked at Nansong mysteriously.

The little sea otter was originally looking at Ma Tuan foolishly, but when it saw his expression suddenly become so serious, it couldn't help but stand at attention.

But his body was so limp that before he could support himself, he fell onto Ma Tuan's legs again. He held his face with his two paws and made a cute weird cry.

Nan Song looked at him with a hint of disdain. She didn't believe at all that Bai Di could do anything shocking.

"Oh, I wanted to share this with you, but you just don't believe me!!"

Ma Tuan was filled with indignation.

But Nansong only felt his temples throbbing.

She tried desperately to get rid of these images from her mind, but the memories were like a thorn in her flesh.

Creatures crawling on the ground have the limbs of babies and the heads of old men, scraping their gums against the ground and leaving trails of shiny slime behind them;

The insane people lined up in neat rows, each with a silver needle stuck in the top of their head. The end of the needle was tied with a transparent silk thread, extending towards the sky filled with giant jellyfish.

The puppets were the strangest. Their smiling faces, painted with oil paint, kept melting and reforming, and from their bellies came the sound of gears turning. If you listened closely, you could hear them mimicking human laughter...

"That's enough!"

Nan Song suddenly shouted, digging his nails deep into his palms.

She found that her breathing became unusually rapid, and each breath carried the smell of rust, as if the blood and energy in her memories had seeped into reality.

The light spots outside the tree hole began to distort and deform, gradually forming the outlines in the nightmare.

Ma Tuan suddenly felt something was wrong. Nan Song seemed to be possessed by something.
