Chapter 229: Reverse Chaos Ice Tomb (Part 2)

The underwater city unfolds before your eyes, so magnificent that it makes you tremble.

Countless ice crystal spires hundreds of meters high rise from the ground, their bodies wrapped in liquid metal emitting a faint blue fluorescence, like living vines.

The buildings are stacked at geometrically defying angles, with spiral staircases suspended between the towers, illuminated by floating translucent phosphorescent jellyfish.

Further away, the entire coral forest is made up of giant crystallized ribs, and schools of blind fish emitting starlight swim between the ribs.

At this moment, the sea otter is swimming towards the city center with the dough on its back.

There stood an inverted pyramid carved from a single block of black ice, with a dark red crystal the size of a mountain suspended in a pulsating state.

The surface of the crystal is covered with pulsating blood vessel-like lines, and each pulsation causes the water to tremble gently.

"This is not something humans could have built..."

Bai Di's voice came through the spiritual connection, carrying a rare vibration.

This city, hidden deep beneath the glaciers of eternity, is so grand that it surpasses the combined remains of all known human civilizations. Its icy spires and forests of bones create a despairing spatial scale.

However, this grandeur coexists with extreme weirdness.

The buildings that defy the laws of physics, the metal flowing with signs of life, the suspended jellyfish lights, the blind starfish swimming among the skeletons... everything speaks of an unknown civilization or existence that is completely severed from the Earth's life system and follows cold and strange laws.

It is breathtakingly magnificent, yet also grotesque, cold, and inhuman to the extreme, emitting a sense of alienation and oppression that penetrates deep into the bone marrow, mixed with fear and awe of the unknown, forming a mental shock so powerful that one instinctively wants to look away, unable to bear (or dare not) to look directly at it for long.

This is not the abode of God, but more like some ancient, powerful and logically different alien creation, silently proclaiming its existence in the eternal ice.

Bai Di's fingers brushed across the icicle beside him. Inside the column were frozen countless lifelike fossils of deep-sea creatures - trilobites covered with metal shells, and mosasaur skulls inlaid with gears. It was like an experimental field where an ancient civilization integrated biology and machinery.

Nan Song suddenly groaned, and his mental picture fluctuated violently.

Bai Di turned his head and saw veins bulging on her neck - some heavy singing was coming from underwater.

The melody was like whale calls mixed with an organ, but each syllable was twisted into sharp edges, madly chiseling at the consciousness.

The sea otter suddenly accelerated and rushed towards the passage that suddenly opened at the bottom of the inverted pyramid.

At the moment when the three were swept into the water, Nansong's mental image captured a horrifying scene:

The edge of the gap in the ice above was densely packed with Irmanos villagers.

Their bodies melted like candles, sticking to the ice to form half-human, half-ice monsters. Hundreds of twisted mouths opened and closed, singing the soul-tearing song.

The singing condensed into solid black ice spikes in the water, shooting towards them like a rainstorm!

"Close the door!" Ma Tuan screamed on the otter's back.

The entrance of the inverted pyramid suddenly closed, blocking the pursuers and ice spikes outside.

The passage fell into absolute darkness, with only the faint light from the tumorous shrine on the sea otter's back.

Darkness poured into the passage like sticky asphalt, instantly swallowing up all light.

Only the tumorous shrine on the sea otter's back was still stubbornly resisting the darkness, emitting a sickly green light, like the dying fluorescence of some deep-sea creature.

The light was so weak that it could only illuminate a few steps around, but it made the darkness seem deeper and more suffocating.

Ma Tuan stood behind the sea otter and could feel its rapid breathing and tense muscles.

The sea otter's fur was wet, perhaps from ice water or cold sweat, and it emitted a faint, fishy smell with a hint of rust.

At this moment, its claws dug deep into the ground, as if resisting some invisible pulling force.

"They're... still out there."

Nansong's voice was so low that it was almost squeezed out from between his teeth.

Her ear pressed against the cold wall, and she heard creepy noises outside - the rustling of crawling things, the crunching of ice, and hundreds of twisted mouths still opening and closing, continuing to chant the soul-rending song.

The singing did not travel through the air, but penetrated directly into their skulls, stirring in their brains like countless tiny ice cones.

Ma Tuan could feel his temples throbbing, and a warm smell of rust rose into his nostrils - his eardrums were probably bleeding.

What's even more terrifying is that the singing seems to be changing the barrier of the passage.

Fine black ice crystals condensed on the walls and spread rapidly like mold. The ceiling began to sag, as if the entire pyramid was being eroded and assimilated by the distorted melody.

"We can't stay here," Bai Di's voice was unusually tense, "those ice spikes will eventually penetrate the door."

As if to confirm his words, a series of crashing sounds rang out from the entrance of the passage, each one shaking the entire space.

Sharp black ice spikes began to appear on the surface of the thick stone door, as if something was growing and piercing wildly from the other side.

The sea otter suddenly moved.

It did not look back, but rushed straight into the depths of the passage, and the light of the tumor shrine drew a flickering trajectory in the darkness.

At the same time, the glutinous rice balls also disappeared from their original locations.

Seeing this, the other two did not dare to hesitate and followed closely.

The crashing sounds behind him became more and more violent, and the crisp sound of the ice breaking was like the grin of a devil.

Just as they turned a corner——
