Chapter 239 The Secret of the End (Part 2)

The last thing Blore saw before he was completely swallowed by darkness was his father throwing the notebook with the eyes embedded in it at him.

"Remember!" Serance's voice broke. "Wardens maintain order, companions bear madness..."

The moment the notebook touched Blore's chest, he fell completely into the torrent of chains.

But at the last moment before falling into the torrent, Broll's heart suddenly burst into brilliant golden light.

Countless fragments of memory emerged in the light - the organs and broken bones that were stripped off when Severus was betrayed, the moment when the twisted divine power of "Shibadanmaru" tore through the barrier, and the authority that Dilin handed to him before disappearing.

He saw his arms transformed into thousands of points of light, still stubbornly forming the protective seal. He saw himself in baby form floating in the golden coffin, and Serans's scarred hands were passing through the thorn barrier.

Si Weijun's black hair rustled in the storm, and the chains wrapped around him were whimpering as if they were about to break.

"That's enough."

Blore suddenly opened his eyes in the turbulence of time and space, and chain-shaped patterns flowed in his pupils.

He reached out and grabbed a flying memory chain, letting it cut a deep wound in his palm that could be seen to the bone - where the golden-blue blood dripped, translucent Anzhi orchids bloomed.

A new understanding split the chaos like lightning. He didn't have to repeat the same mistakes, nor did he have to deny everything.

The duties of a ranger and the desires of mortals can coexist like chains and thorns.

When the eleventh blood flower bloomed, Broll suddenly laughed, and the chain on his wrist suddenly disintegrated and reorganized, turning into a key engraved with ancient runes.

"That's right."

Si Weijun's smiling voice came from the depths of the void.

Countless black thorns suddenly pierced the dimensional barrier and wove into a bridge to the real world under Broll's feet.

He took one last look back at the collapsing vortex of memory, where there was his broken past and countless possible futures.

But now, he chose to walk out of the forest.

Blore stood in the center of a secret place woven with thorns and chains, his fingertips gently stroking the chains wrapped around his body.

The cold metal chains seemed to sense his will and began to emit a subtle hum, like a long-sleeping beast finally awakened.

He took a deep breath and grasped the source of the chain with both hands - there was an invisible shackle connecting his heart to the core of this secret realm.

"It's time," he whispered.

With a crisp snap, the chains fell from his body, transforming into countless tiny points of light that dissipated into the air. Simultaneously, the entire secret realm began to tremble violently, thorns grew wildly, and the chains reorganized, as if cheering the return of the ranger.

And at this moment, the space behind Blore suddenly twisted, and a slender figure walked out slowly.

Si Weijun.

His black hair cascaded down to his waist, gleaming coldly in the dim light of the secret realm.

On the beautiful and strange face, the pattern of the lotus spread from the corners of the eyes to the jaw, which was corrupted and weird.

His snow-white skin makes his bottomless eyes even more captivating. His nose is high and his lips are blood-red. He looks like an evil god walking out of an ancient scroll.

"You are faster than I thought." Si Weijun spoke in a low and hoarse voice with a faint smile.

Blore turned to look at him, raising his eyebrows slightly. "You knew I would come back?"

"No." Si Weijun raised his hand, a wisp of black mist entwined around his fingertips. "I just noticed the connection between us earlier than you did..."

He took a few steps closer, and the chains in his black hair made a slight clinking sound.

"While I was at the academy, strange images started to appear in my mind."

Si Weijun frowned slightly, as if the memory made him feel uncomfortable.

"My memories are shattered, as if they were torn apart by someone... I can't even tell which ones belong to me and which ones belong to others."

Blore was silent for a moment, then asked, "So you've chased here to regain your complete memory?"

Si Weijun chuckled, but there was no warmth in his eyes: "Not entirely."

He raised his hand and lightly touched Blore's brow with his fingertips, and a wisp of black mist seeped in.

"I just want to confirm one thing—" His voice was so soft that it was almost inaudible, "Am I your companion, or... the part of yourself that you abandoned?"

Blore's pupils shrank slightly, but before he could answer, the entire secret realm suddenly shook violently!

The chains and thorns reorganized frantically, order resumed, and the core of the secret realm finally awakened completely.

At the same time——

Deep in the distant glacier, beneath the dark ice, a pair of huge, inhuman eyes slowly opened.

The unknown sleeping god has awakened.

In the deepest part of the permafrost, beneath the thick layer of ice, the long-sleeping Krushelda sea otter slowly stretched its body.

Its size was almost absurd, and its bloated body was covered with slippery gray-blue fur. At the end of each hair grew a tiny, eye-shaped light-emitting organ, which flickered like a star in the dark.

Its head has the distorted features of a sea otter, but it has three pairs of asymmetrical amber compound eyes, and the patterns of ancient nebulae float deep in its pupils.

When it opens its mouth, what is revealed is not teeth, but layers of sharp crystals arranged in a spiral shape. Each crystal contains a broken memory of civilization.

The strangest thing is its limbs - countless translucent tentacles extend from where webbed feet should be, and ancient runes are coiled on each tentacle. As it wakes up, those runes are lighting up from their slumber, casting distorted holographic projections in the deep sea.
