Chapter 28: Strong Winds, Corrosion, and the Appearance of Black and Gold Butterflies

There was also a full moon in the sky, and the moonlight was cool and soft, shining on the sea level, and a full moon was also reflected in the sea water.

"There are only two moons here! Wait a minute! Why am I suddenly thinking about the past in this situation? I'm not going to be doomed!"

Ma Tuan was suddenly startled and came back to his senses from his memories.

"Nanger, go back to the village and inform all the villagers to leave the village immediately." Sige quickly gave the order after a brief thought.

"Let those kids go! I won't leave." Nanger didn't look at him, but just replied to Sige coldly.

"You saw what happened before. Do you think the villagers will believe if we let these four children go?"

Sige didn't expect that Nanger would disagree with his arrangement at such a critical moment. In a trance, he saw the child who once looked at him coldly and told him to get out.

"You..." Before he could finish his words, he was interrupted by an elder wearing a black mask with ripples of waves.

"Alright, my staying here won't be very helpful. I'm going to tell everyone to evacuate. You two shouldn't argue about this."

As he spoke, an alchemy circle rose from under his feet, and in the blink of an eye he disappeared from everyone's sight.

Thick black fog like ink moved slowly in the forest. Unlike the fog Blore and his companions had seen before, this fog did not sweep everything away like a strong wind.

Instead, it moved forward at an extremely slow pace, as if it were a huge, eyeless tentacle monster, groping forward step by step based on its perception.

"Look there!"

Blore, with his sharp eyes, saw at a glance that black flames were burning in the forest on the other side.

Above the flame, a pale golden pattern flashed by, and before he got close, the heat wave hit him in the face.

"Haha, now there's another unsolved mystery. Why would a forest that had just rained, or even been in a rainstorm, catch fire?"

Blore stared at the burning woods speechlessly, then turned to look at the person next to him.

"I think we should be thankful the fire didn't get here."

The elder wearing a black mask with an osmanthus tree pattern said this, his voice low and hoarse, as if his throat had been rubbed with sandpaper.

"Yes, I thought so too. But then again, what on earth is causing this fire? Could it be caused by Arambetta?"

The elder wearing a butterfly mask asked, his eyes revealing a hint of doubt and worry.

"Who knows? Maybe it's a natural phenomenon. After all, this place is full of mysterious forces. Maybe these forces caused the fire."

The elder wearing a black mask with a sea pattern replied, his tone containing a hint of helplessness.

"But this fire doesn't look like an ordinary fire..."

Nanger frowned and carefully observed the fire in the distance.

"It certainly doesn't look like it. This fire seems a little strange, and it's getting bigger and bigger."

Blore echoed, his eyes fixed on the burning wood.

After a moment of silence, everyone suddenly heard a flash of lightning from the sky straight into the depths of the forest, followed by a huge explosion.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom

"Oh no, something seems to have exploded!"

The elder wearing a butterfly mask exclaimed, and the eyes revealed from the mask became solemn in an instant.

"Everyone be careful! It could be dangerous!"

Blore warned immediately, looking around warily, his hands tightly gripping the chains around him.

As the muffled sounds continued to ring out in the forest, the atmosphere at the edge of the forest became increasingly tense and uneasy.

Everyone became more vigilant and prepared to deal with possible dangers.

However, at this moment, a strong whirlwind suddenly hit, blowing the surrounding trees to and fro.

"Everyone, find a safe place to hide!"

Sige shouted, and the protective shield was activated instantly, and everyone immediately disappeared from the spot.

Although the protective shield can hide everyone's figures, it does not help them leave this place.

Under the ravages of the tornado, the entire forest fell into chaos.

Everyone struggled to resist the impact of the whirlwind and tried to protect themselves from harm.

The wind was so strong that everyone couldn't open their eyes. In the end, Ma Tuan used vines to tie everyone and several big trees together.

The strong wind came and went quickly.

Finally, when the whirlwind passed, Blore and the others breathed a sigh of relief, but expressions of fear still appeared on their faces.

"It was terrible. That whirlwind just now almost swept us away."

Ma Tuan said with lingering fear, his clothes had been torn by the branches and he looked in a dishevel.

"But from the perspective of the forest, those green clouds are also blown away, and now the pollution is entering the atmosphere."

"Okay, let's not think about it for now. Fortunately, we reacted quickly enough, otherwise, I really don't know what the consequences would be."

Bai Di nodded in agreement, his forehead covered in sweat.

"But what on earth is causing this whirlwind? Could it be another mysterious spell cast by Hermes?"

Blore asked with a frown, doubt suddenly emerging from his mind.

"It's very likely. This place is full of unknown dangers. Besides, none of us knows what other alchemy Arambetta has added to that spell. We must remain vigilant at all times."

Sige said seriously, his eyes scanning the surroundings as if searching for potential threats.

"Yes, that's right. We must be careful and not take it lightly."
