Chapter 34 Black and White

Blore opened his eyes and found himself in a pitch-black cave. The cold, damp air filled the air, making him feel uncomfortable. The feeling of being watched was terrifying.

"How strange! What on earth is that ball of light?" Blore muttered. He stood up cautiously and tried to make sense of this strange environment.

"We just recently entered the insect nest that Mu Yunchu took us to, and now we've come to a strange cave. It seems the village where Uncle Nangel and his people live is truly filled with all sorts of bizarre places."

Blore had no one to talk to, so he muttered to himself.

He reached out and touched the cave wall, feeling its cold, smooth texture. The cave was unusually quiet, broken only by the occasional harsh buzzing of some unknown insect.

Blore stood there for a moment, suddenly aware that his vision was completely dark. He blinked to make sure he could see nothing.

"What's going on? I've always had good eyesight. Even in the physical fitness test, my eyesight has never been less than full marks. Is it because this cave is too dark?" Blore wondered to himself.

He continued to explore his surroundings and found that the wall stones seemed unusually hard, even icy cold.

He knocked lightly on the cave wall, making a crisp sound, as if telling Blore that this place had an extremely solid structure and that he should not think about leaving and that it would be best to stay here forever.

"What kind of strange place is this?"

The next second, countless lavender lightning bolts appeared beside Blore like surging waves. These lightning bolts seemed to have life, like long purple snakes, circling around the chains wrapped around Blore, tightly entangling him.

However, just as Blore wanted to see the lightning clearly, his eyes suddenly went dark.

The stone wall that was originally illuminated by lightning now looked like a huge black hole, swallowing up all the light without a trace.

Blore was stunned. What on earth was going on?

After a moment of confusion, more purple lightning appeared out of nowhere like a group of violent beasts, illuminating the area where Broll was in an instant.

But just a moment later, a substance similar to the black fog that Blore and Nansong had encountered in the forest before spread at an alarming speed, quickly "swallowing" all the lightning.

Blore finally saw clearly.

In that brief moment of lightning, the stones on the cave wall became extremely dark, blacker than the dark ochre he had seen Nansong use.

This endless darkness was like a gluttonous beast with its bloody mouth wide open, as if to swallow up all the light between heaven and earth.

"No wonder I can't see anything," Blore muttered to himself.

After he understood the reason, his heart finally settled down a little. At least he knew that there was nothing wrong with his eyes.

There is no way, there is no road in the world, but when more people walk on it, it becomes a road. Blore repeated this sentence in his mind, while slowly stretching out his hands, feeling the road ahead, so as not to accidentally hit stones or other obstacles.

As we continued forward, the chirping of insects grew louder. However, in such a dim environment, who could be sure what kind of creature was making those sounds? Perhaps just an ordinary insect, or perhaps some other mysterious and dangerous creature?

just in case………

Blore shook his head, trying to clear his mind of distracting thoughts. Now that things had come to this, he could only take things one step at a time.

Anyway, I have been walking aimlessly in this dark cave for a long time and have not been attacked during this period, which means that I am temporarily safe.

Blore kept his hands pressed against the walls on either side of the cave and took cautious steps forward. Suddenly, he heard a faint sound coming from the cavern. Listening closely, he heard something moving slowly.

After hearing this, Blore was not afraid. Instead, he thought that there were living things here, and it seemed that he could get out.

Looking more carefully, it seems that in addition to the continuous wriggling sound, there is also a faint, imperceptible sound of flapping wings.

But none of this matters now. After all, he can't see anything at the moment, and the only thing he can rely on is his hearing.

People tend to have wild thoughts in a dark environment, and Blore is no exception.

But he did not imagine how terrifying those creatures hiding in the dark would be. Instead, he was lost in thinking about how Alanbeta had turned into human bones and disappeared, and how they had inexplicably come to this strange place.

What's worse is that he was separated from several other people.

Losing your sight in the dark is actually not as scary as people imagine, because creatures that can survive in the dark usually don't have very good vision.

Blore knows this well.

However, the constant chirping sounds made him feel irritated and uneasy. Not only did the noise make his ears hurt, but his heart also began to beat violently and uncontrollably.

Bang-bang-bang-bang

Every heartbeat is so clear and audible, as if it is about to jump out of the chest.

Blore realized that this rapid heartbeat might be caused by nervousness.

He tried hard to calm himself down, but every time he tried to take a deep breath, he was interrupted by the noisy sounds around him.

The sounds seemed to come from everywhere, as if from all directions, making it difficult for Blore to pinpoint their exact source.
