"Well, the weather hasn't been very good recently." Nan Song got up from the bed early in the morning, rubbed his sleepy eyes, stretched, then slowly walked to the window and opened it.
The scene outside the window surprised her a little - the sky was gloomy, the rain was falling like silk, and the air was filled with a damp smell. However, what was more striking was that the clouds in the sky took on strange shapes, as if they were kneaded by an invisible big hand, giving people a very strange feeling, with piles of clouds here and there.
"How strange!" Nansong muttered, her brow furrowed slightly, a trace of doubt welling up in her heart. She couldn't help but look at the strange clouds a few more times, but then she felt that she might be overthinking it. So, she shook her head, decided not to dwell on it, and turned to sort out her clothes.
Today was the day for al-Qaeda to volunteer at the zoo, so Nansong had chosen a gardenia-colored, snow-covered sand skirt. It hit just below the knee, making it both elegant and comfortable. After all, at the zoo, splashes of water and other dirt were inevitable, and wearing something too short would easily stain the clothes.
Then, Nan Song put on a pair of black boots, tied her long hair up high, picked up her backpack, picked up an umbrella, and hurried out of the dormitory.
When she arrived at the cafeteria, she found Blore, Bai Di, and Ma Tuan already seated, enjoying their meal. This volunteer activity was only open to the top twenty from the previous mission. Fortunately, the previous mission was based on team performance; otherwise, if it were based on individual performance, Bai Di would probably be the only one who could participate.
Thinking of this, Nansong couldn't help but feel fortunate that they had completed this mission well and just managed to make it into the top 20. Although there were only 24 groups in total, at least they were not at the bottom.
"Sister Nan, you look so beautiful today!" Blore swallowed the last half of the steamed bun and looked up at Nan Song.
Nan Song snorted and didn't answer him. He sat down in front of everyone and started eating.
Seeing this, Ma Tuan quickly slapped Blore.
He turned around and said to Nansong in a grinning tone, "This kid doesn't know how to talk. What he said about looking good today, it's obvious that he looks good in what he wears every day."
Before he finished speaking, he heard Bai Di whisper beside him, "Flatterer."
"Hey, why are you talking like that?" Ma Tuan turned his head, wanting Bai Di, who was usually not talkative, to argue with him again, but in the end he didn't say a word.
No matter what Blore wore, he always had those chains wrapped around him. I don't know if he found it too heavy, but since he carried them every day, he definitely didn't mind.
Nansong was thinking quietly while eating.
Ma Tuan and Bai Di were wearing a turquoise windbreaker and a black windbreaker respectively.
Hmm, that's really unusual! You know, Bai Di often likes to wear a cloak over his clothes. Could it be that he thought there would be no danger this time, so he let his guard down?
While Nansong was making random guesses, he picked up the bowl and ate all the remaining food.
Just as she had wiped her mouth, several people suddenly heard the order to assemble.
So they quickly picked up their backpacks and started moving with the crowd.
However, after taking a few steps, he heard Ma Tuan sigh.
"What's wrong? Ma Tuan, are you not full yet?" Blore immediately turned around and asked.
"Alas, think about it. Our last mission was so difficult to complete. Although the clan leader wrote a letter of praise to each of us in the end, our points are just enough to participate in this mission. I suspect we are being targeted." Ma Tuan complained worriedly.
Although he was wearing a mask, his exaggerated movements really didn't match his tone.
Nan Song rolled his eyes at him. "This also takes into account individual regular grades. Don't you think about it? How could Ilse possibly give us high grades? He's the one who gave us our regular grades this semester. Just bear with it for a while. He'll be replaced next semester."
After saying this, Nan Song shook his head, feeling somewhat helpless.
Bai Di pulled Blore and motioned him to look over there.
Blore saw two men and one woman slowly walking out from that side, and he looked at Bai Di with some confusion.
"You guys think it's really strange. They're clearly a group of four, so why are there always only one or two of them when we run into them? Today, there are even more, three."
Ma Tuan immediately interrupted.
In fact, Blore didn't care much about these things, but that didn't stop his other three companions from caring about them.
"I don't know what mission they got this time, but they came in first again. I'm really impressed."
Ma Tuan said sourly from the side.
Bai Di glanced at him casually and replied nonchalantly, "One of them has a very strange mental image. It seems to be related to luck, but I'm not very clear about the details."
Upon hearing this, Ma Tuan immediately became excited and said excitedly, "See, I knew it all along! Our heritage is obviously quite good, but when the four of us get together, we always lack that little bit of luck. Oh, what a pity!"
Nan Song retorted helplessly, "Stop complaining about your luck! His identity is also very mysterious! Who knows, maybe one day you'll suddenly become a great noble, and then this bit of luck will make up for it, right?"
After listening to this, Ma Tuan couldn't help but chuckle twice, and his eyes drifted towards Bai Di who was standing beside him.
Bai Di was too lazy to pay attention to him and silently interjected, "Can you guys please stop dragging me into your quarrel?"
Unfortunately, the two people seemed to have not heard what he said at all.
