Chapter 57: Mycelium and Resentment

The sky suddenly changed color, causing Blore, who was running on the mushroom cap, to frown. He was originally concentrating on moving forward, but the sudden change still caught his attention.

He had just discovered that the clouds in the sky did not move, so why did they suddenly change? What had happened? He couldn't help but wonder.

Suddenly, he felt an itch in his elbow joint. He rolled up his sleeve and saw a large patch of red spots on it, which looked like ruptured blood vessels and blood congestion. These red spots looked very scary and gave people a bad feeling.

He shook his arm impatiently, trying to relieve the itching. However, when he looked at his arm again, he was surprised to find that red spots had begun to spread slowly up his upper arm. At first glance, it was a shocking sight.

However, Blore wasn't afraid; he just felt a little strange. Because this part of his body was wrapped in clothing and not in direct contact with the air, it shouldn't have reacted this way. So, why did this happen here? Since appearing here, there have been too many questions.

After thinking about it, he took out a piece of bandage from his pocket and wrapped it directly there, hoping that it could block it. He had no other choice.

The mushroom caps here were huge and the stems were extremely thick, but he had never seen such a thing before.

He suddenly heard the sound of running water again, and looked around but didn't see any sign of water.

"Blore, think of a way to leave here first. The atmosphere here is not very good."

Blore only felt his eyeballs burning, and Cangwu's voice rang in his mind.

"Well, Senior, I can't find the way either. But you are still able to talk to me here."

Blore's focus immediately shifted when he realized there was someone else around him.

"Kid, what's good about this? The fact that I can talk to you means that your spirit body is now completely trapped here. If you can't get out, your life or death will be in danger. Think of a way. During the time I was asleep, the world was changing faster and faster." Cangwu spoke slowly.

"Hmm," Blore replied, and suddenly he felt the sound of the water flowing louder, and there was a tinkling sound.

"Someone is using mental power to detect." Cangwu sensed Blore's doubts, "Release your mental power, and you can find another person. I hope that person can be of some use, otherwise I don't think you can get out of here."

"Senior, you are too... Why don't you think that he can't get out either?" Blore was a little shocked.

"I don't think he can get out. At least it's better for two people to find a way than for one person." Cangwu felt that Blore was a bit lucky. Maybe he could get out alone, but of course two people would be better.

Blore felt it, then ran west.

In that small mushroom forest, after a while, something amazing happened on the mushroom caps that Blore had stepped on. Faces suddenly appeared on the mushroom caps. These faces were of different shapes, some like humans, some like animals, and their expressions were also different.

Most of the faces wore grim grins, their twisted expressions mocking everything in the world. Their eyes flashed with an eerie light that sent shudders down their spines. Some wore expressions of pain and sorrow, as if recounting past experiences. Still others appeared lost and helpless, as if lost in this strange world.

Although the sky changed color, turning into a thick gray, and clouds gathered, after a while it felt like a gray ladder was slowly forming.

The appearance of these faces made the entire mushroom forest seem eerie and terrifying. In the breeze, the faces on the mushroom caps seemed to tremble slightly, as if they were alive. Mechanical light shone through the gaps in the leaves onto the mushroom caps, making the shadows of the faces appear even deeper and more eerie.

Blore had no way of noticing it. Only after he ran a long way did the mushrooms he stepped on slowly reveal their hideous faces.

But it was easy to feel that as he ran in this direction, he felt that he was getting higher and higher, as if the mushrooms absorbed the best nutrients in this area. He could also see large clusters of reeds growing sometimes. This place was really strange. Reeds grew in the mushroom field, but the color of the reeds was very dark. From a distance, they looked like animal hair.

Blore frowned and muttered a few words. The chains around him suddenly became hot, and purple-gold patterns appeared on them. The next moment, they all floated around Blore. Blore then ran faster, like flying, and the chains seemed to have no effect on him.

At this moment, Blore suddenly felt an unbearable itching sensation on his other arm. He frowned helplessly and had to repeat the previous action and do the same to this arm.

Just as Blore was concentrating on treating the discomfort in his arm, a clear and childish voice suddenly came from above his head: "Hey, what are you doing?"

Blore looked up suddenly to see a "monster" of bizarre proportions hovering above him, holding a mushroom cap. This "monster" had an enormous head and a thin body that seemed to have dried out and swayed back and forth, and its blood-red eyes stared straight at him.

Broll replied expressionlessly, "Nothing." As he spoke, he lowered his sleeves, but the runes on his body became more and more visible, flashing with dazzling purple lightning and accompanied by crackling sounds.
