Chapter 59: Reversal and Mutants in Time

"In the illusion, I saw you offer sacrifices to the heavens first. You are so powerful, how could that be possible? So I immediately guessed that it was definitely an illusion."

Just as Blore was about to separate, Lu'e suddenly hugged him tighter.

"I'm tied to that pavilion. This thing is really interesting. One is placed inside and the other is placed outside. I didn't see you perform a sacrifice to the heavens in the illusion, but it's really disgusting to say the least."

Lu'e buried her head in the crook of his neck and spoke sullenly.

Blore felt a little embarrassed. From childhood to adulthood, no one had ever hugged him like this. Even the closest contact between him and Ma Tuan was just carrying people on their backs as a joke.

However, it was normal for him to comfort his friend who he had just met after he had experienced such a great threat. He might be quite scared, Blore convinced himself in his heart, and his stiff body suddenly relaxed a little.

"Were you also hung there? I saw a lot of plants on the pavilion, but it's okay now, don't worry."

Blore felt he had to say something, but he didn't know what to say, so he resorted to making small talk.

Lu'e just nodded and said nothing. After a while, she slowly separated herself from him, and her dark pupils stared at Blore again, as if to make sure that he was still alive.

Blore felt a little embarrassed by being stared at, so he simply pulled Lu'e out of the pavilion. Unexpectedly, the outside world had changed drastically after they went out.

The big iron gate has disappeared without a trace, leaving only the coquettish peonies.

The fog that had originally covered the iron gate suddenly dissipated, revealing a vast village. The houses in this village were very strange, all of them looking like giant mushrooms.

Most of the mushrooms were crammed into a large pavilion, while some were two mushrooms overlapping each other.

The village was filled with all kinds of plants, their flowers and leaves all pointing towards the iron gate with malicious eyes, as if they couldn't wait to rush out. These plants looked like a group of greedy eaters who couldn't help but taste the delicacies outside the door.

The broad, smooth road suddenly changed into a muddy, dirty path, densely packed with mushrooms of various shapes.

Although these mushrooms are very small, each one has at least one organ growing on it. Some are human eyes, some are cat noses, and there are all kinds of other strange things that are really dazzling.

From time to time, one or two shrill screams came from the mushroom bushes beside the path, and bursts of foul smells wafted out from the mushroom bushes.

Everything seemed to be turned upside down. In the pale gray sky, four huge mushroom clouds quietly emerged. Their colors were different, like a dream scene. These mushroom clouds swayed slowly, as if performing an elegant dance.

Suddenly, they collided with each other with a loud bang, and the entire sky trembled. At the moment of impact, the shape of the mushroom cloud changed, and they gradually merged into a square. The edges of this square shone with strange light, as if it was made up of countless stars.

Peony twisted her body and looked at Blore and the other man. It was at this time that Green-Eye pulled Blore and left.

"Where are we going?" Blore followed him without any resistance.

"Black Mist just came back and told me there's a locked pit under a tree. Let's go check it out. There's nothing to worry about anyway. I don't know what that peony flower is up to."

Lu'e explained to him as they walked.

"Oh, let's go and have a look." Blore was also a little curious after hearing what he said.

As the two were walking, a man with a hunched back and lowered head came towards them.

The man was also carrying a huge basket with only a few mushrooms left in it. He must have gone to pick mushrooms. After he put the mushrooms on his back, perhaps because of his wrong walking posture, the mushrooms were scattered. The man had his head lowered, so he should have been able to see them but he didn't pick them up. He just walked slowly.

There was only one road, and it was so narrow that it was just wide enough for two people to pass by each other. There was no way anyone could be here. Blore knew this very well, so he didn't bother to care.

But he didn't expect that this person would grab his clothes and kneel down the next moment.

Blore was startled and hurriedly hid behind someone, completely forgetting that Lu'e was standing behind him, and almost stepped on her.

Lu'e had no choice but to hold Blore steady and walked to the front. The man suddenly raised his head and a glance gave people a very strange feeling.

His face was smooth and white, as delicate as mutton-fat jade, without a single wrinkle, as if time had never left any trace on his face.

However, surprisingly, the facial features on his face seemed to be forced together, appearing extremely uncoordinated.

His eyes were sunken in their sockets, and his eyes were dull; his nose was flat and wide, which was extremely disproportionate to his small face; his mouth was slightly open, revealing a mouthful of uneven teeth.

When Lu'e and Blore saw this person, they were both a little confused. Could this person be considered a human being? It was as if they had been forced to create something by human nature.

Now the two people have entered the forest. There is a green halo everywhere, giving people a very unreal feeling. It is already very strange that a person suddenly comes out, and this person suddenly makes such a move.

To Blore, the man was hunched and twisted, as if he were carrying a heavy burden. His head and body were so severed that they looked like two parts were pieced together.
