Chapter 6: Black Mist and Insect Tide

"Now that everyone's abilities have improved, let's set off quickly."

After seeing the changes in everyone, Nanger walked into the forest after he finished speaking.

The four of them looked at each other, quickly picked up their luggage and followed.

"How's everyone feeling?"

Nansong asked,

“I feel like the landscape has broadened a lot, and the river is flowing more and faster.”

It wasn't that she didn't want to tell the story about the golden Chinese characters, but it was useless to tell the story in the current situation.

"Indeed, the spiritual power has become even more powerful."

Ma Tuan echoed,

"I hope it can last longer. What about you, Bai Di?"

"I'm about the same. My mental power is more extensive."

Bai Di also briefly summarized himself.

The three of them automatically omitted the unlucky Blore.

Ma Tuan looked at the disappointed Blore, thought for a moment, and took the initiative to comfort him.

"Okay, don't be disappointed. If we can solve this problem, the three of us will accompany you to ask the village chief for help again. How about that?"

"Really?" Blore looked at him with tears in his eyes.

"Of course it's true, I won't lie to you," Nan Song also assured him.

"Woo woo woo, you guys are so nice."

Blore was deeply moved.

None of the three noticed that Bai Di rolled his eyes.

In this ancient and mysterious forest, sunlight shines through the dense treetops onto the ground, forming patches of light. The surroundings are quiet, with only the occasional sound of birdsong and rustling leaves.

"If black fog appears in the forest, you need to be even more careful. It represents the devil."

Nanger's voice was low and serious, reminding the four little students.

Before he finished speaking, everyone stopped.

Not far away, in the woods, between the branches, the black fog moved slowly, as if it had life, silently shuttling between the tree trunks.

"Oh my god, everything is happening to us."

Ma Tuan was stunned.

"You're such a crow, stop talking."

Nan Song looked cautious, then she looked at Nan Geer.

The appearance of the black fog made everyone nervous.

In Nangel's telling, this is not just a natural phenomenon, but the manifestation of some evil force deep in the forest.

"Everyone be careful!"

Nangel exclaimed.

"I knew it was no good, and it's no use saying it so loudly."

Ma Tuan's heart was filled with worries about the unknown and a premonition of danger. As soon as the black fog appeared in the forest, his intuition told him that this was not a good sign.

He muttered to himself, secretly summoning his mental picture.

"Okay, it's really bad luck for us."

While Nan Song was secretly thinking of a solution, he quickly waved his hands to build eight water shields. These transparent water shields shimmered in the air, providing a solid line of defense for the retreating people.

Bai Di said nothing. His presence was always elusive. Facing the black fog, his figure became more illusory, as if blending into the surrounding environment. However, his aura became more fierce, and a cold light emanated faintly from his fingertips.

Blore's mental image, Xiaobu, suddenly appeared and released a string of white and purple lightning towards the black fog. The lightning was like electric snakes, piercing the air and making crackling sounds.

The black fog seemed to react to these attacks, becoming even more violent, rolling and twisting, trying to devour any creature that appeared within its range.

"It's not good."

Looking at the black fog in front of them, Ma Tuan said to the four people.

At this moment, the black mist spread at a faster speed, rolling and spinning in circles.

In the blink of an eye, Blore was horrified to find that many black insects clinging to the tree trunks were caught in this small black fog storm.

These little bugs gathered together densely, forming a creepy black torrent that rushed towards the crowd.

As the storm continued to intensify, it became larger and more violent, but surprisingly, it did not cause any damage to the surrounding trees.

But on the contrary, it was like an enraged beast, rushing towards the five people with bared fangs and claws, and with a menacing momentum.

This powerful force made them feel endless fear and oppression, as if the whole world was about to be swallowed by it.

"Quick, hold your hands together and don't be separated."

Nangel roared.

"Ah, help!"

A dark figure staggered in front of them. Blore was quick to grab the man's robe and pull him towards him.

"Mr. Suijin, why are you here?"

After seeing the person clearly, Nanger asked loudly with a little surprise.

Ma Tuan moved quickly to avoid being swept away by the black fog, while shouting

"Let's retreat first and talk about the past later."

"Ah, Ma Tuan, you have bugs."

Nan Song looked back and immediately screamed in fright.

"Ah, you've got bugs all over you."

Blore's eyesight has always been far superior to that of ordinary people. At the same time, he held his companion with one hand and used the chain to smash the flying black insects with the other hand.

Suddenly, he sniffed his nose.

"Hey, do you smell something sour?"

Nanger's expression suddenly changed.

"Quick! Hold your breath! These bugs are the source of the forest's poisonous gas!"

It was too late, everyone's lungs were already burning with pain.

The insect swarm is approaching, and in the dark, the gears of fate begin to turn again.
