Chapter 84: Warriors of the Abyss and the Vanished Gods

"What kind of creature is this?" Blore wondered, standing at the broken staircase.

Those creatures were lying on the empty platform in front of the door, and some of them climbed directly onto the door, staring at the four people standing at the broken edge.

In this short period of time, Blore and others suddenly heard a heavy and orderly sound of footsteps coming from behind them.

Everyone immediately turned around in alarm, only to see a massive figure in a black robe and mask appear before them. This mysterious being stood at least four meters tall, holding a sharp sword high in its hand, and exuding a chilling aura.

What is even more shocking is that behind this giant, there is a group of tall people following closely behind him.

These figures stood nearly five meters tall, clad in heavy armor that shone brightly, as if demonstrating their immense strength and majesty. Even in the water, they exuded an irresistible sense of oppression that instilled fear in people.

The hair of these half-human, half-ghost creatures danced in the water like a group of water snakes, full of wildness and danger. Their eyes revealed ferocity and cruelty, leaving no doubt that they would madly bite their enemies in the next moment.

Lu'e quietly took a few steps back, but he found he had no way to retreat. The staircase soared into the sky, and its width was unusually wide, giving it a strange appearance. Clearly, it wasn't designed for humans like them, but for monsters four or five meters tall.

Faced with the unknown and uncertain, Lu'e unleashed her spiritual power without hesitation. Instantly, a powerful black mist suddenly emerged, quickly enveloping the four of them, forming a solid protective barrier.

Upon seeing this, Ma Tuan immediately understood what he meant and had no time to hesitate. He made up his mind and pointed directly at the platinum-colored door on the right. The next moment, the four people disappeared on the spot, and the black mist poured directly into the gate on the right.

A group of strange creatures had crouched on the platinum-colored door. Their bodies twisted and slithered like snakes, emitting a creepy aura. Their skin had a strange sheen, as if composed of some unknown substance.

After the four people entered the door, these snake-like creatures seemed to be driven by some mysterious force and instantly rushed back into the door. Their movements were swift and agile, like a group of well-trained soldiers.

In their place, they left behind a sticky and disgusting moisture that emitted a pungent smell that made people feel nauseous.

As the creatures departed, the platinum-colored door slowly closed. The light on the door gradually faded, and the entire space returned to tranquility. However, the sticky, disgusting dampness did not disappear, lingering in the air, making people feel oppressive.

The creature in front of the other door could only slowly begin to crawl back behind the door, but it was too late. The black-robed giant had already reached the broken part, and the strange creatures instantly turned into brown-green mist, floating upwards in wisps.

A black-robed giant stood at the broken staircase, his towering figure like a mountain. He gazed down into the bottomless abyss, a look of determination in his eyes. The next second, he lost control of the sword in his hand, plummeting downwards, disappearing into the endless darkness.

Suddenly, as if hearing a mysterious call from the depths of the abyss, these armored giants leaped into the abyss one after another, as if drawn by an invisible force. Their figures fell like a shower of black raindrops.

At that moment, time seemed to freeze. The mask on the black-robed giant fell away, revealing an aged and resolute face. His expression was devoid of any other emotion, only one of unwavering determination. As his body gradually crumbled into dust, it dissipated into the air bit by bit. It was as if he had foreseen this moment and willingly accepted this fate.

After the last armored giant leaped into the abyss, the stairwell's broken edge returned to calm. Only the jet-black robe and mask remained, quietly awaiting the arrival of the next destined person.

Before long, everything was covered in the pure white mycelium. If anyone was there at this time, they would have noticed that the entire staircase was tightly wrapped in mycelium, without the slightest gap, and the entire staircase turned into a pure white.

*

The world behind the door was completely different from the one just outside. The outside world was colorful and looked very noble and elegant, but because the colors were too dark, it still seemed a bit dull. However, once you enter the door, everything becomes completely different.

This is a pristine white world, resembling a giant igloo. Yet, when you reach out and touch it, you can feel the texture of wood. This is surprising, as it appears to be made of ice blocks. Furthermore, the lack of any support makes it difficult to imagine how this house was constructed.

The entire space was incredibly spacious and breathtaking. And everywhere inside was filled with round stones of varying sizes, some so large they could easily accommodate four horses. The sight was truly breathtaking, yet it didn't seem like a purely natural creation. If it were man-made, it would seem too monotonous. In short, there was an inexplicable feeling.

Xianmen suddenly spat out the pearl in his mouth and turned to look at the three people in surprise.
