"Alas, your political sense is worse than mine. You also know that you have to be of age, but you are not yet of age. If the eldest prince does a few more things that are in line with the people's wishes, not only winning the hearts of the people, but also the hearts of the nobles, wouldn't that be a sure thing? Who would care about that little heir?" Lu Nanyao rolled her eyes.
"What you said sounds a bit wrong. Don't you support the heir?" Jiu Yizhi narrowed his eyes.
"I'm not from the Longlantu galaxy, so who cares who I support? Besides, I don't even know who the successor is, so how can I support him?" Lu Nanyao didn't want to pay attention to him.
"I don't know if it's because they're overprotective. Several of them have released their frontal photos, but there's no news about the real heir yet." Nan Song also agreed.
"What? I feel like they just drove him away." Jiu Yizhi curled his lips.
"Don't talk nonsense. Let's wait and see. Anyway, we have enough life, so we will definitely wait until that day." Lu Nanyao glared at him.
"Oh~~ Bai Di, what are you going to say? I don't know what they are talking about anymore." Nan Song suddenly remembered Bai Di. He looked a little uncomfortable, so he quickly interrupted the others.
"Actually, it's not a big deal. I saw the portrait of the monarch of the Yutu Kingdom. He looks 50% similar to the current crown prince. I was a little surprised. I didn't expect that some things can have such a long history." Bai Di said lightly.
"Hmph, no one can change my position, and you don't have to say anything more. I am a firm heir." Jiu Yizhi snorted loudly.
"Please, this isn't our current mission. Let's try to find a way to get into the Mianyi. We're still in the fringe area." Xiankelai stood up. "Why haven't they arrived yet?"
This place might be a little weird. As soon as Xianmenlai finished speaking, there was a noise outside the house.
"Here you are! We've been looking for you for a long time! Sister Nan, was that map drawn by you? I recognized it at first sight." Blore's voice came in all of a sudden.
"Blore! As long as we're safe, come in, come in." Nan Song was very happy to hear his voice. He stood up excitedly and then sat down again.
Three more people were added to the already small room. Fortunately, two corners of the house were broken, otherwise there might not even be any air circulation.
Before entering the door, Blore gave Lu'e a subtle suggestion, and Lu'e followed his advice very straightforwardly. She took off the useless decorations and overly heavy clothes, put on the mask again to cover the pattern, and tied her hair neatly with a long rope inlaid with jewels.
This caused everyone in the room to look at the person following Blore in surprise, and in the end it was Lu Nanyao who recognized the person.
"Uh, Weijun, why are you dressed like this? Forget it, since everyone is here, let's go first. Think of a way to pawn something and ask for directions."
As soon as the words fell, everyone stood up and walked out tacitly.
"Ma Tuan, what is that on your head?" Nan Song came close to Ma Tuan and looked at his head curiously.
"Hey, you don't recognize it? This is a sesame ball." Ma Tuan picked up the little thing. It was covered with fur. It opened its little black eyes the size of mung beans and looked innocently at the Nansong in front of it. It was innocent and cute.
"Wow...that's not right. You said this was a sesame ball? How did it become like this?" Nan Song just touched it twice and suddenly realized it.
"Who knows? Where exactly is this place now?" Ma Tuan rubbed the little sea otter's head, and the little sea otter immediately started whimpering and fluttered, wanting to get into his arms.
"The little thing is quite clingy." Nan Song smiled, and suddenly saw a mushroom next to him that was almost as big as a house. The mushroom stem was bumpy, and he didn't know if it was gnawed or what. The color was dull, and there was an indescribable smell.
The surroundings were gray, lifeless. On the barren land, the surrounding houses stood like abandoned orphans, lonely in the potholed mud ditches. The broken walls appeared dilapidated, as if they had been weathered by countless storms. And in this desolate landscape, the only plants were those giant, ugly mushrooms, dotting this dead world like trees.
These mushrooms vary in shape, some resembling open umbrellas, others twisted pillars. Their surfaces are covered in wrinkles and spots, emitting a foul odor. Around the mushrooms, the soil is tightly grasped by their roots, forming small mounds. Occasionally, a few insects flit among the mushrooms, making faint noises that add to the eerie atmosphere.
In the distant sky, dark clouds are gathering and thunder is rumbling. A storm is about to come. Now it is drizzling. The weak wind makes the dilapidated houses sway in the wind, as if they will collapse at any time.
From time to time, it seemed like someone living here was lying by the door crack, peeking at these strangers who didn't know what was happening. Their whispers were hidden in the wind and rain, mixed with the rain hitting the depressions in the ground.
Everywhere was depressing and dull. Black mycelium crawled all over the wall, slowly swallowing up the rubble to occupy the entire world.
"Have you seen anyone else since you came here?" Lu Nanyao asked Lu'e. "After arriving here, it seems like a dead city. There's not a single person in sight, and there's no response when I knock on the door."
Lu'e shook her head. "It does feel strange. There's not even a single person here."
"Then what should we do? We don't even know what the common currency here is. How about we tear down the house and sell these things?" Xiankelai thought of a solution.
