The surrounding environment was in chaos and dim, and the rain made the area look even dirtier and more dilapidated. The air was filled with a decaying smell, making people feel depressed and suffocated.
"Let's go! Even if I'm powerful, we're outnumbered against this many people. Besides, our abilities won't work against ordinary people." Xiankelai said with a strange expression, looking at the scene outside. A hint of helplessness lingered in his voice.
"Yeah, the rain is too heavy, how about..." Ma Tuan wiped the rain off his mask and spoke cautiously, trying to make a suggestion, but he didn't dare to say it too clearly. If there were only four of them here, various opinions could be discussed, but now they have inexplicably joined the strongest team in the academy, and nothing is easy to do.
Blore was still holding tightly onto Sesame Ball, the little sea otter who was inexplicably excited after the rain. The rain had stained Sesame Ball's beautiful fur, making it look even more translucent. But now no one could appreciate it. The situation was obviously not good, and Blore could only look outside in inexplicable silence.
At this moment, Lu'e suddenly narrowed his eyes, stood up, and whispered: "Someone is coming." His eyes were fixed on the distance, as if he could see something through the surging crowd.
Sure enough, a group of people were approaching in the distance. They wore white armor and masks, obscuring their faces. Each person moved in unison, like a machine. If they saw anyone, they would grab them without hesitation and throw them into a cart they were towing behind them.
The vehicle was enormous, its carriage dotted with white mycelium, swaying and rocking as it moved. It looked exquisite and ornate, a stark contrast to its surroundings, yet somehow out of place. However, the rhythmic clatter of footsteps and the occasional hoarse roars emanating from the carriage combined to create an eerie, terrifying atmosphere that left one's hair standing on end.
The monsters surrounding the Blore Star shuttle bus immediately transformed from terrifying monsters into ragged, skinny, starving civilians as soon as they saw other people approaching. They were afraid of the newcomers, but they were reluctant to give up the piece of fat meat in front of them.
The scabbard rubbed gently against the white armor, making a crisp and pleasant sound. The sound of the star shuttle attracted the attention of the group of people, and they quickened their pace.
In the blink of an eye, the crowd that had been surrounding the Star Transport Vehicle was quickly knocked to the ground by the neatly dressed soldiers. They lay on the ground, twitching in pain, but were mercilessly kicked away simply out of disgust.
It was too late to escape. Those who were still able to stand after the attack were immediately and mercilessly thrown into the huge carriage at the back. This carriage looked like a prison. These people didn't care about the life and death of those inside. Whether they died from being crushed to death or suffocated from lack of air, it seemed that they had no concern.
Then those people looked at the eight people in the car and said a lot of things. Because they were wearing masks, their faces and expressions could not be seen, and the eight people just looked at them vigilantly.
Seeing that the people on the car were unmoved, the soldiers in white armor seemed to be annoyed. They drew their swords and stabbed at the water film, but unfortunately they failed to penetrate.
At that moment, a much taller warrior appeared. He was covered in white armor that shimmered like scales. He circled the Star Chariot and suddenly gave it a powerful kick. The Star Chariot shook violently, but remained stubbornly upright. He wore a mask made of lark armor and chattered profusely. However, faced with the eight men's lack of reaction, he waved helplessly.
What followed was a shocking scene: the Star Transport was lifted up by a group of refugees who had stumbled from the Mycelium Transport behind them. Each of these refugees was emaciated, their hands and feet heavily shackled. With great difficulty, they lifted the Star Transport, and the vehicle began to slowly move forward.
But just as the Star Transporter was lifted, a tremendous sound of bones cracking echoed, accompanied by heavy breathing and the sound of a heavy object falling to the ground. Not far away, someone was secretly observing what was happening here. Beneath this gloomy, dilapidated house, in this filthy world, only by experiencing and overcoming all hardships can one have the opportunity to see new hope and usher in a new sky.
"Sister! Let me help you." At the edge, a little girl about eleven or twelve years old, wrapped in gray mycelium cloth, looked timidly at her sister.
But her sister just shook her head. Although her face looked small, her body was no different from that of an adult. She looked at her sister with soft eyes, signaling her sister to be quiet and not attract attention.
She was naturally stronger than others, so her sister didn't have to worry too much about her. However, her sister had been in poor health since childhood, and she was caught by these people while taking her sister to the hospital for treatment.
"These people are so hateful! Do the country really need them?" My sister thought to herself, her eyes filled with anger and helplessness, but no matter how much anger she had, she could only bury it deep in her heart. When the country is in crisis, people like them can only live one day at a time.
While those people were shouting about what kind of rats dared to invade their country, they beat and scolded those who were captured, not caring at all about their lives. Even though an epidemic was spreading among the people, they didn't care at all, and even said it was a punishment from heaven, believing that these people should atone for their sins.
