Chapter 99 Bai Di and the Stone Tablet Man

"What's going on now? It feels like a dream!" Ma Tuan hugged Zhima Wan, his tone confused.

There are so many people in their group and their target is so obvious, but they still managed to get separated. Is this a ghost town?

"Has any of the well-read students ever seen such a situation?" Xianmenlai was walking in front and suddenly turned around.

At this time, Bai Di, who had turned into a little tiger, had crawled out of Blore's bag. He was a small, soft ball, like a kitten.

Bai Di crawled out and suddenly turned into a human again. He pointed ahead and a stone gate appeared not far ahead. Then he motioned everyone to follow him. A cool breeze blew, bringing with it the unique smell of the forest.

Turning left and right around the forest of stone tablets, the stone tablets tower into the sky, making humans look like ants.

Approaching the stone gate, Blore cautiously approached it, his heart filled with curiosity and a hint of fear. He reached out and gently touched the ivy on the stone gate, feeling its tenacity and vitality. The humming sound seemed to tell a story, and the faint singing and fragrance made him feel even more mysterious.

He took a deep breath and pushed the stone door with all his strength, but it seemed as if it was nailed to the ground and would not budge. In desperation, he could only ask for help from others: "This door is too heavy, it seems impossible for one person to open it!"

Seeing this, everyone stepped forward and worked together to push the stone door, but it still did not move at all.

"Don't push it yet, there must be something else." Lu'e gently pulled Blore, and sure enough, several people retreated together tacitly.

Just when everyone was at a loss, Bai Di's eyes suddenly fell on a stone next to the stone gate. The stone looked ordinary, but there seemed to be some strange symbols engraved on it.

An idea struck him, and he walked over to pick up the stone and examine it carefully. Seeing this, the others also gathered around and carefully studied the symbols, hoping to find a clue to open the stone door.

Blore and Jiuzhi were of no help in this matter, so they had to continue guarding the gate.

After considerable effort, Bai Di, Ma Tuan, and Lu'e Xiankelai finally cracked the stone door's puzzle and found a way to open it. Following the symbols, Bai Di pressed several specific locations on the stone door. With a low rumbling sound, the door slowly opened, revealing the passage beyond.

Blore looked at the passage before him, his heart filled with anticipation. He couldn't wait to know where it would lead, and whether it could really help them find the exit. His eyes gleamed with excitement, as if he had seen the dawn of hope.

However, when he walked into the passage, he found that the scenery inside was not much different from before, still dark and silent. This made him feel a little disappointed. Could it be that they had returned to the starting point?

Lu'e didn't say much. His eyes were calm, as if he had already expected such a situation.

Suddenly, a dazzling red light flashed, illuminating the entire passage like a burning flame. A dark mist of green calyx instantly enveloped everyone, as if a gigantic black monster had devoured everything. Then, a loud bang shattered the silence, and the deafening sound of an explosion echoed all around.

The black fog gradually dissipated, revealing a fresh new scene. Another identical forest of stone tablets appeared before everyone, the weather bright and sunny. As the few people entered this mysterious space, they felt a strange aura. The surrounding stone tablets were tall and majestic, standing like towering trees. They were densely packed together, forming an intricate maze that beckoned everyone to get lost.

Carefully weaving between the stone tablets, Blore heard the faint sound of a melodious song. It was a dreamlike sound, as if it came from a distant horizon, yet seemed so close at hand. Blore stopped abruptly and listened quietly, trying to locate the source of the song.

In this quiet space, the flowers on the stone tablet are particularly eye-catching. They bloom with brilliant colors, like stars in the night sky, adding a touch of vitality and beauty to this mysterious place.

Cyclamen approached a stone tablet and carefully observed the flowers on it. Their petals were delicate and tender, exuding a faint fragrance. He couldn't help but reach out and gently touch the petals, feeling their softness and warmth.

The singing was still echoing in their ears, and the few people had not found any useful clues. They could only continue to move forward, suppressing their curiosity and expectations.

"Phew! After I left, I followed the venerable with the book into a secret room. Inside were all the people we met in the main hall! They were all placed in containers, and they looked no different from normal people."

Seeing that there was no one else around, Bai Di slowly began to tell his story.

"I felt something was wrong at the time, and sure enough, on one of the workbenches I found all his judgments on the entire war situation, as well as the transfer of various properties.

As expected, I was right. The whole trend has gone as low as it can be. I wanted to verify my guess, so I planned to pry open the safe that night to verify it, but it was too late. A fire broke out that night, and the whole space was filled with black air. I had no choice but to use my mental power to protect the space, and at the same time protect the evidence and myself.

The next day, after I went out with the box with the combination lock and the bomb, I found that many people were dead, and all the bodies in the secret room were missing. The specific cause of death I thought was more like suicide, suicide by taking poison.

At this time, a group of people rushed up. They seemed to be very confused, but in the face of national crisis, they chose to replace those people. I have to say that they were courageous and quickly got to work. I even suspected that this was planned by them.
