Chapter 90: The Escaped Sacrifice and the Water-Reappearing Tunnel

The ornaments on her skirt glided across the ground, making a crisp, melodious sound, like pearls falling on a jade plate, captivating the senses. Her graceful figure was as captivating as the moon illuminated by the setting sun, its radiant beauty emanating a unique charm. For a moment, it seemed as if the setting sun had merged into her own landscape, making the surrounding scenery even more beautiful and captivating, a scene of misty jade and flowing green and crimson.

She wore a black satin dress with golden floral patterns. The hem was decorated with delicate gauze patterns in lilac and plum green, resembling blossoms in full bloom. These gauze flowers, shaped like falling camellias and shimmering teacups, shone dazzlingly under the starlight, leaving the viewer spellbound.

Blore and Ma Tuan looked around in bewilderment. They had just been in that room, but now they were suddenly in an empty space. The area around the altar was filled with stools, each one intricately carved with Luohua tea, clearly a special sight. They happened to be sitting in the front row, facing the altar.

The crowd poured into the venue in the blink of an eye, and without hesitation, they quickly found their seats and sat down. Everyone looked at the person on the altar with pious eyes.

"What should we do now? I feel like that guy is staring at us from up there. This happened too suddenly, and I'm not ready yet..." Ma Tuan "accidentally" looked up again, then immediately retracted his head and poked Blore next to him.

"But there are so many people behind us now. Are you sure how we are going to get out?" Blore looked back and saw that there were only two of them at the front.

It was a quiet night, strange to say, with so many people around, no one was talking. There was only the occasional tinkling of bells, and a faint, elegant fragrance lingering around everyone's nose.

Suddenly, there was a slight movement, and a group of mysterious people in white robes quietly appeared. Their skirts were covered with fallen camellias, like fairies descending to the mortal world. However, their faces were covered by white veils, making it impossible to see their true appearance.

These mysterious figures wielded longswords, their blades gleaming with a cold light, as if proclaiming their sharpness. Their movements were perfectly coordinated, their steps light and steady, and they instantly surrounded the area. Each of them exuded an invisible pressure that sent shivers down their spines.

The air around them seemed frozen, only a gentle breeze rustled through, picking up petals from the fallen camellias. The petals danced in the air, a dreamlike scene that couldn't mask the tense atmosphere.

Blore didn't know the purpose of these masked men, but their appearance brought a sense of mystery and danger to the area. Although it looked strange, no one except Blore and the other two seemed surprised, their eyes still fixed on the altar.

On this special occasion, everything seemed exceptionally solemn and mysterious. The air around them seemed frozen, without a single movement. The two sat there quietly, while the crowd behind them presented an extraordinary spectacle of opulence.

These people were dressed in gorgeous attire, every detail revealing their noble status. Their bodies gleamed with the brilliance of gold, silver, and jewels, dazzling and captivating. Furthermore, their faces were exquisitely crafted, revealing an innate sense of superiority.

Their presence made the whole occasion seem more solemn and mysterious, as if an extremely important ceremony was being held here.

The two of them sat in front of this group of wealthy people, and they couldn't help but feel a strange feeling in their hearts. This was Blore's first time attending such an event. When he was in the village before, such grand events were still simulated by good people on a large scale in real-life movies.

He looked at the scene in front of him. On the black altar stood a person who seemed to embody all the colors in the world. The starlight could not offend him in the slightest and could only silently add a bit of glory to him. Just by standing there, he had already attracted everyone's attention, and everyone was full of curiosity and awe about him.

And there were those people behind him, whose clothing, accessories and behavior were completely different from the life he was familiar with. He suddenly realized that he and Ma Tuan had come to another place, and the scene in the cave under the river was still vivid in his mind.

"Why isn't the guy up there moving? I saw him walk a few steps before. And do you think he looks like someone we've seen somewhere before?" Ma Tuan quietly raised his head and took a look, then tugged at Blore.

Suddenly, the person on the stage made a move, raised his right hand and pointed at Blore. I don't know how Blore felt, but Ma Tuan's head buzzed immediately. Then five people in white robes rushed in front of the two of them. Three of them gestured to Blore with a fierce look, and the other two directly lifted Ma Tuan up, lifted him up quickly, and rushed to the bottom of the altar.

But before he could enter, the door under the altar inexplicably opened, and a strong cold wind blew out directly. This wind was fierce and fierce, like a ferocious beast, sweeping over quickly. With a bang, it blew over many people's chairs, and also knocked over Ma Tuan and two other people.

The man on the platform seemed unprepared for this, and the black-gold mask he was wearing was nearly blown off by the wind. But he reacted quickly, flipping his hands over as if to break free, and after catching the mask, he immediately disappeared from the scene. The three people surrounding Blore instantly fell unconscious. Blore looked up to see a figure standing before him, and a hand immediately pulled him towards the altar.

"He's run away! Hurry up and catch him back! Hurry up and catch him back! His chosen sacrifice has escaped! Hurry up and stop them!"
