Chapter 117 Seven Pearls and the Unusual Moonflower

“………”

“………”

Nansong and Matuan were so nervous when they saw this scene that they dared not even breathe loudly, as if they were afraid of disturbing this mysterious existence. Nansong's mind was blank. She felt that she could not understand what was happening before her eyes at all, and her heart was filled with fear and confusion.

Ma Tuan couldn't help but recall the legends about sea monsters from his childhood. His mind was occupied by these strange thoughts, making him feel even more uneasy.

The strange creature with a peculiar appearance, which resembled both a human and an insect, seemed unaware of the three people's deep desire for it to leave as soon as possible. It leisurely slid down from the soft and fat insect corpse high up, and slowly "walked" towards the direction where the three people were.

After taking its first step, the crimson-haired demon bug unexpectedly began to adjust itself. Despite its extremely strange posture, it was clear that it was making steady progress. At first, its hands and feet moved independently, but after just a few steps, it had already developed the rudiments of walking.

From crawling to standing and walking, the white-red ghost insect has stabilized its body, and its hands are used like humans to push the hair in front of it and put it behind its back.

The thick fog filled with dust and insect corpses began to disperse, revealing dark floor tiles covered with patterns. At the same time, tall stone lampposts appeared around them at some point.

Everything here is so quiet, it leaves one feeling a deep sense of awe. Within this silent space, towering stone lampposts stand silently, like ancient guardians. Each lamppost is engraved with mysterious runes and patterns, emitting a faint glow that adds a touch of eerie atmosphere to this mysterious space.

Surrounded by stone lampposts, a massive stone gate slowly emerged. Inlaid with various gems and precious metals, it shone with a dazzling light. In the center of the gate was a large symbol, seemingly some ancient seal.

After seeing this, the white-red ghost insect stopped moving towards the three people. The four alien creatures carrying the sedan saw this and their massive bodies began to slowly emit a gurgling sound, like a low roar.

At the same time, countless distorted, hideous human faces on their bodies began to scream silently, a sound that was terrifying. Then, a black mist rose from these creatures, burning in the air like black flames. As the black mist rose, the shapes of these alien creatures gradually became blurred, and finally completely melted away on the spot, disappearing without a trace.

The black mist continued to rise, eventually seeping into the dark grey stone bricks, as if being swallowed by the earth. The entire scene was filled with a mysterious and eerie atmosphere, inexplicably filling people with fear and unease.

"Hehe, hehe, hehe." The white and red ghost insect stared at the direction where the three people were hiding, and let out a series of ambiguous laughs. Then it actually waved and signaled several people to come over.

Suddenly, a low rumble erupted from the sky, like rolling thunder, deafening. The sky, dotted with a variety of moons, began to reverberate violently, as if stirred by an invisible force. At the center of each moon rose a brilliant red light, as intense as blood, creating an eerie and terrifying feeling.

Nan Song subconsciously looked up and saw that the moons that were originally hanging high in the sky began to shake, like lanterns blown by the wind, or like dancers who had lost their balance, swaying as if they might fall from the sky at any time.

As the roar grew louder, the moons began to shake more violently, like houses in an earthquake, ready to collapse. Suddenly, a tiny crack appeared on one of the moons, like a flash of lightning across the night sky.

Immediately afterwards, the cracks spread rapidly, becoming as dense as a spider web. The entire moon instantly shattered into countless pieces, transforming into a dazzling meteor shower. The same thing happened to other moons one after another. For a moment, the sky was filled with shattered moons and flickering red light, like a picture of doomsday.

Ghosts and monsters, seemingly from nowhere, began to scream and flee in all directions, panicked and terrified by this sudden change. Aside from the area where the white and red worms were, the rest of the world seemed to be in complete chaos, terrified and bewildered.

The white scarlet worm seemed to be filled with some fear, but unlike those ghosts and demons that were screaming, the white scarlet worm seemed to be full of awe and hard-to-conceal worship. It slowly knelt down, and the whole worm lay on the ground, almost motionless except for a slight collision sound.

Bai Di signaled the other two with his eyes, and the remaining two naturally understood, so the three of them ran away, but they missed the white red worm. Almost at the moment they ran away, it suddenly raised its head, and the skulls of the corpse-tooth ghost and waist-biting spirit floating around it fell off instantly, and several light gray crematoriums fell to the ground and immediately turned into gray smoke.

"My God, this place is truly bizarre. I don't know what kind of incredible luck we have; everything keeps happening to us." Ma Tuan ran breathlessly, yet he refused to rest, insisting on finishing his words. He panted heavily, glancing back nervously, fearing the white scarlet worm would catch up.

"Yeah, I feel like we're cursed. We run into these horrible things wherever we go." Nan Song echoed. His face was pale from running for a long time, and there was still some uneasiness in his eyes.

"We must leave here as soon as possible and find a way out. Otherwise, if this continues," Ma Tuan said calmly, trying hard to stay calm.
