Chapter 81 That's what it means to like Zhu Yan and look at him with a smirk...
Zhu Yanhe smiled and looked at Ning Buyi, who was lost in thought. Ning Xiaozhu was so soft-hearted behind his back, telling another man that she missed him: "Do you still like him?"
Ning Buyi snapped out of her daze and blurted out, "No way!"
"But haven't you been thinking about him all along?" Zhu Yanhe adjusted her posture, propping her bear head up with one hand. "Someone once told me that if you keep thinking about someone, it means you like that person."
Zhu Yanhe is now a little confused about Ning Buyi's purpose. Is he trying to annoy him with "Zhu Yanhe", or does he want to know if he is "Zhu Yanhe"?
He leaned towards the former, since Ning Buyi could easily remove his hood right now if it were the latter.
accurate.
The boy was taken aback. "You, Zhu Yanhe! You actually used his words."
He shook his head, almost being led astray by Zhu Yanhe. His mission was to make Zhu Yanhe unable to resist taking off his hood so that he could bully him severely.
Ning Buyi said directly, "So that means I like her. I like Zhu Yanhe."
He glanced furtively at the person opposite him, but there was still no reaction. Ning Buyi moved closer and said, "Hey, why aren't you reacting? I said I like Zhu Yanhe."
Strange, could he have mistaken him for someone else? Isn't Da Xiong actually Zhu Yanhe?
"And then?" The electronic voice was slightly broken. The hands under the plush toy clenched unconsciously. If Ning Buyi knew that the face under the teddy bear he was now relying on was still the same, would he still be able to say that?
"Don't you have any thoughts after hearing this?" Ning Buyi frowned. Could it be that he really made a mistake? He had already said that he liked Zhu Yanhe, yet he still wouldn't surrender!
"No, you eat, I'm leaving now." The calm electronic voice carried a hint of anger. Zhu Yanhe got up abruptly and went straight out the door.
Ning Buyi stood there dumbfounded, not yet understanding what was happening. In an instant, only half a bowl of rice remained on the table, its owner never to return.
Ning Buyi only came to his senses when the door slammed shut; Zhu Yanhe had run away!
Zhu Yanhe didn't think Ning Buyi would openly say he liked him. He felt that Ning Buyi's real purpose was not "Zhu Yanhe" but "Da Xiong".
He didn't want to listen anymore.
Ning Buyi didn't understand why Zhu Yanhe not only didn't remove the hood, but was even angrier. Didn't he say he liked her?
He was also distracted during the afternoon live stream. Zhu Yanhe's figure never appeared in the audience column on the right. He was calculating formulas on his draft paper, and a line was drawn out and circled on the side.
Ning Buyi rested his chin on his hand, his pen already poking a hole in the draft paper. This was completely different from what he had expected. He wasn't even angry yet, but Zhu Yan and Mr. Zhu were. Was there no justice in the world?
The boy pouted so much his lips almost reached the sky. In the evening, a sound came from the door. Ning Buyi thought it was Zhu Yanhe bringing back dinner. He happily opened the door. It was indeed dinner, but someone else had delivered it.
Ning Buyi immediately dialed his number, but the call wouldn't go through; it just kept ringing. He felt a surge of anger; what was Zhu Yanhe trying to do?! He hadn't done anything wrong, and now he couldn't even say he liked him? A man's heart was unfathomable!
He's going to get angry too! He's going to ignore Zhu Yanhe too.
Thinking of this, Ning Buyi fiercely devoured the food that had been delivered, chewing with the same force as if he were biting Zhu Yanhe.
The phone kept vibrating beside the leather sofa. The man leaned back into the sofa, glancing at it briefly, shutting out the classical background music.
Even under the warm lighting, his superior features couldn't hide his sharpness. His hair was casually swept to the side, attracting several young men and women who wanted to approach him, but they were all intimidated by his indifferent gaze.
"Brother Zhu? What brings you here?" The newcomer reached across the back of the sofa, carrying a bottle of wine, and sat down next to him with his legs spread wide.
Zhu Yanhe glanced at him indifferently: "Can't you come?"
"That's unusual." Ye Ju leaned forward, poured the wine into a glass, and handed one to the man beside him. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing much." He said in a flat tone, slowly swirling the glass reflecting the light in his hand.
Zhu Yanhe let out a soft breath. He had accepted that Ning Buyi liked Xiao He before because she was a girl, but now Ning Buyi liked the person wearing a tattered mascot costume whose face was completely obscured.
He was unwilling to accept it.
He rubbed his temples wearily, the alcohol flowing into his body as his Adam's apple bobbed, the alcohol staining his eyes red.
"Is it Ning Buyi?" Ye Ju asked, leaning against the sofa and resting his chin on his hand.
"Huh? I'm Ning Buyi, who are you?" Ning Buyi was just about to start his live stream when his phone vibrated. He glanced at the name and couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. The voice didn't sound like Zhu Yanhe's.
"It's not important. Your husband's drunk. Are you coming to pick him up?" A light, teasing voice came from the other end of the line. Ning Buyi let out an "Ah!" and immediately retorted, "He's not my husband! Besides, why should I pick him up? Aren't there plenty of people who can pick him up?"
Who made Zhu Yanhe angry for no reason?
Ye Ju raised an eyebrow, roughly knowing why Zhu Yanhe was here. He smiled slightly and said, "It won't work. I just heard him talking about you the whole time. If you don't come and pick him up, he can stay here alone. By the way, the address is at Yeting."
The person on the other end hung up the phone as soon as they finished speaking, giving him no chance to refuse. Ning Buyi was stunned. If he didn't answer Zhu Yanhe's call, no one else would. Only he could save Zhu Yanhe!
The boy said that Zhu Yanhe would cause him trouble, but he quickened his pace in dressing himself.
He rushed out the door in just two minutes. There was no public transportation at night and he didn't know the exact location, so Ning Buyi hailed a taxi.
"Uncle, let's go to Night Listening."
Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man driving glanced at the rearview mirror and suddenly said earnestly, "Little brother, are you an adult? Why are you going to that place?"
Ning Buyi didn't understand. He asked, "What happened there?"
Night Listening is a top-tier club; ordinary people don't even have the right to enter. The middle-aged man glanced at him; since he took a taxi, he obviously wasn't there to spend money. The young man, with his handsome face, meant he was there to be "spent."
"Are you going there to play or to work? Those are all top-level service jobs. There are plenty of waiters like you. You're still young, you can find any job you want. Don't think about taking shortcuts."
Ning Buyi blinked in confusion and replied, "I went to pick someone up."
He clutched the hem of his shirt tightly in his hand. What did this uncle mean? What did this blessing mean for a kid like him? Was he playing with someone else?
The middle-aged man nodded with satisfaction: "That's good. We young people should be down-to-earth..."
He started talking to himself, but Ning Buyi couldn't listen. It was as if all his thoughts were blocked. Zhu Yanhe even said she missed him. Did she miss him to the point of being a dog's belly?
Upon arriving at the location, Ning Buyi looked at the building in front of him and walked straight inside, but was stopped by someone before he could even enter.
"Excuse me, sir, do you have an appointment?"
Ning Buyi shook his head: "I'm looking for Zhu Yanhe."
The man withdrew his hand and stood back down, adopting a respectful attitude: "Please."
Ye Ju had already given instructions that if a little boy came looking for Zhu Yanhe, he should just let him in.
As you walk down the spiral stone staircase, the wall lamps inside shine on the walls. Unlike the noisy bars, the club is filled with soft whispers and melodious tunes. Ning Buyi walks in with a cold breeze, his steps hurried, looking around among the booths, searching for Zhu Yanhe.
A few boys in uniforms stood beside the booths. Ning Buyi's rapid breathing mingled with the clinking of glasses. Zhu Yan and you! It's over!
"Mr. Ye, I've brought your wine." A waiter in a suit and vest stood to one side, his handsome face downcast.
Ye Juman casually swirled his wine glass, the golden liquid encasing an ice ball, and with a thud, a little spilled out.
Zhu Yanhe was resting on the sofa with his eyes closed when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his calf. He opened his eyes impatiently and saw Ning Buyi kicking him with his head down, pouting.
Seeing that he was awake, Ning Buyi simply straddled his lap, grabbed Zhu Yanhe by the collar, twisting the custom-made suit into wrinkles, and demanded, "Who told you to be here!"
Ye Ju used tactics to divert attention, after all, who would have thought that Brother Zhu's little wife would be so...shrewish.
Zhu Yanhe's vision was blurred, but he recognized Ning Buyi and instinctively put his arm around the boy's waist.
His voice was deep and magnetic: "Ning Buyi."
Ning Buyi loosened his grip on Zhu Yanhe's collar and pinched his cheek hard: "You still know who I am! Wake up!"
Zhu Yanhe applied a little force and pulled the person into his arms: "Awake."
Ning Buyi tried to get up, but the man's grip wouldn't loosen, with one arm across Ning Buyi's back: "Let me up!"
"Why do you always like others but not me?" A hot breeze blew past his ear, carrying a strong smell of alcohol. Zhu Yanhe pressed against his warm shoulder and neck, his voice muffled, "Why does Ning Buyi like Xiao He and Da Xiong, but not Zhu Yanhe?"
Ye Ju couldn't believe what he was hearing; it was truly a revelation that overturned his long-held beliefs. He silently stood up, gave the waiter a wink, and for a moment, only the two of them remained in the entire venue.
"Who likes Big Bear? You're drunk, Zhu Yanhe!" Ning Buyi's hand hovered in mid-air. He wanted to push Zhu Yanhe's head away, but in the end, he let it fall.
"Hmm, I'm drunk." He raised his head and gently kissed Ning Buyi's lips. The soft touch made Ning Buyi's eyes freeze, and he forgot to react.
May he be granted a marriage alliance!
In Ning Buyi's memory, the last time this happened was during his first hospitalization; he had no recollection of the other photos from that time.
Zhu Yanhe lazily curled his lips, his eyes only seeing the red color of Ning Buyi's lips. Being drunk was indeed a good way to shirk responsibility, especially since Ning Buyi hadn't dodged.
He straightened up, and the boy who had been lying on top of him sat up facing him. Zhu Yanhe held his waist, leaned forward a little, and kissed Ning Buyi's lips.
The boy blinked as he watched him clumsily kiss him like a chick pecking at rice. His long eyelashes trembled slightly, and Zhu Yan's cheeks were flushed. It was as if the alcohol had been transferred through his skin, and Ning Buyi's face also flushed.
"Don't kiss me anymore," Ning Buyi replied meekly.
"Is it that annoying?" Zhu Yanhe's eyes were misty, and Ning Buyi couldn't even see his dark pupils clearly.
"It wasn't that bad, was it?" Ning Buyi savored the moment when soft lips brushed against his skin; Zhu Yanhe's lips were so soft too.
"That means you like me." He put his arm around her waist and kissed her again. Zhu Yanhe always restrained himself when kissing her lips, afraid that if he went any further, Ning Buyi would get angry.

Author's note: You're a henpecked husband!
That night, the two lay in bed when Ning Buyi suddenly poked his head out. He wanted a midnight snack. Zhu Yanhe laughed and asked him what kind. Ning Buyi: "Pervert!" Then, for no apparent reason, the two started kneading dough in the kitchen. This was a new recipe that Zhu Yanhe had learned from the chef. Zhu Yanhe did most of the kneading, while Ning Buyi just tossed in a dough ball and had a great time playing with it.
