Chapter 115 The smell of barbecue on my brother is so good!

Lin Family Old House

Night had fallen, and even the chirping of insects in the grass outside had gradually faded away.

The three bandits had been tied up in the Lin family's old house for two days. They were so hungry that they were dizzy and didn't even have the strength to make their stomachs rumble.

These three bandits were forced to come down the mountain because there wasn't enough food. They never expected that even after arriving in such a wealthy village, they still wouldn't get a single bite to eat and would instead be seriously injured and imprisoned here.

"Big brother...did you feel...there seems to be something around us?" The skinny man, charred by lightning, also woke up with difficulty, his face covered in black soot, and cautiously looked around.

Unfortunately, the room was dark, and the doors and windows were tightly closed, so not a ray of moonlight could get in, and he couldn't see anything.

That's precisely why the skinny guy became even more afraid.

Because he always felt that there was more than one thing hidden around him!

The thing had sharp claws, long hair, and emitted a putrid smell.

"Damn you skinny bastard, shut up! I'm starving, and if you say another word, don't blame me for being ruthless!" The short guy was also dizzy from hunger, and when he heard his brother's incessant chatter, he couldn't help but roar in anger.

The biggest, most malnourished man was swallowing hard. He had been poisoned by the sable, which, though not fatal, had left him weak and powerless.

"Big brother, how about we eat one of his hands? I smell his scent... it smells so good, big brother, I'm so hungry!" The big, clumsy guy felt that having the skinny guy sitting next to him was torture.

The smell of roasted meat emanating from him was absolutely delicious.

The skinny man turned pale with fright when he heard his two brothers plotting to take his flesh.

But actually, you can't blame the short guy and the big guy. They were just unlucky and got struck by lightning, their skin and flesh burned to a crisp.

The three of them were locked up in the Lin family's old house and were starving. The smell of meat around them made them even hungrier.

"..." The skinny man quickly shut his mouth, secretly praying that if there really were any ghosts or monsters in the house, they should just grab these two heartless brothers and eat them!

The three men were so hungry that they couldn't tell the time outside. They could only roughly tell from the shadows cast by the light that it was still night.

With a creak, the wooden door was pushed open.

A tall man walked in carrying an oil lamp. By the dim light of the lamp, all three of them noticed that the man was also carrying a bowl of food!

The aroma of mushroom and meat noodles was a delicacy in the quiet of the night, especially for the three men who were starving and on the verge of death in front of the three bandits.

Lin Weiming carried a bowl of noodles and walked up to the three people.

The three bandits stared at him longingly, their saliva already dripping onto the ground.

"Big brother! Big brother!" The short man was the first to speak up, "I knew you were a good person. As long as you let me go and give me this bowl of noodles, I promise I'll be your slave from now on... I'll give you all the gold I stole. Please, just let me eat my fill, I'll do anything!"

Faced with the temptation of such delicious food, neither the skinny guy nor the big, clumsy guy were willing to give in.

As the saying goes, "On the battlefield, there are no fathers and sons."

When it comes to fighting over food, there's naturally no brotherhood to speak of!

Especially when the three of them were almost starving, and the man only brought them a bowl of noodles.

If not now, when?

"Brother, we're willing to serve you like slaves! Just let us have a taste!" the two said almost in unison.

"Hehe, don't rush."

Lin Weiming placed the oil lamp on the table beside him and stirred the noodles and toppings with chopsticks. The noodles, when lifted and mixed with the richly colored and fragrant mushroom and meat sauce, became even more tempting.

The three bandits just watched his movements, their eyes practically glued to him, and they couldn't stop swallowing their saliva.

"Want some?" Lin Weiming picked up a noodle.

"Mmm-hmm-hmm!" The three bandits nodded frantically, afraid that if they were a step too slow, the other two would snatch it away.

“It’s not impossible,” Lin Weiming said slowly, looking at the three of them. “I don’t need you to be my slaves, but I do need you to answer my questions honestly.”

“Go ahead and tell me! I’ll tell you anything I know!” the short man said eagerly.

The skinny guy and the big, clumsy guy couldn't beat him, but their longing eyes betrayed their true feelings.

"Alright, then tell me, how many bandits are there on your mountain? How many weapons do you have? How many people came down the mountain this time? Where did they all go?" Lin Weiming stared at the three men, his tone serious and cold.

"..."

When this matter was mentioned, the short man hesitated for a moment.

"Brother, I'll tell you!" But the skinny man immediately seized the opportunity and quickly said, "We came up the mountain together. There were originally over a hundred of us, but some died on the mountain... Now there are probably only thirty or forty left!"

"Weapons... are not many. Only about half of us brothers have knives. Most of the rest can only carry machetes or the like. We don't have much food left on the mountain. Those who can go down the mountain have already done so. As for where they went, I don't know."

"Skinny, you bastard!" the short guy cursed under his breath.

But the skinny guy ignored him and just kept swallowing and staring at the noodles in Lin Weiming's hand.

"Don't know? Since you're all in this together, how could you not know their whereabouts?" Lin Weiming narrowed his eyes, still somewhat disbelieving the three people.

“Brother, we really didn’t know! We’ve never been on the same page. We all came down the mountain with the leaders we trusted, each of us planning to take over a few villages and become our own boss! Otherwise, if we all came together, how could we possibly share all the loot from one village? And if we robbed too many, we wouldn’t be that diligent.” The skinny man quickly explained.

Lin Weiming was somewhat speechless at his blunt words.

Although they were pitiful, if they were truly diligent, they wouldn't have had to become bandits.

The short man's eyes darted around. He realized that the skinny man had already spilled all his secrets. If he let him keep talking, he wouldn't get to eat that bowl of noodles.

Looking at the fragrant noodles, topped with stir-fried mushroom sauce and meat sauce, the aroma of the mixture was absolutely divine!

The short man swallowed hard and said ingratiatingly, "Brother, although we don't know where the others are, we did talk about it before. Since we're brothers from the same mountain, we should keep in touch. If they take over the village, they'll definitely need to contact us in a few days. Why don't you take that opportunity to wipe them all out in one fell swoop!"
