Those at the front of the line noticed that there seemed to be more food today than yesterday.
"Boss, what are these things? Are the prices the same as yesterday? Can I have one of everything?" The person at the front of the line watched Lin Weiming put down large basins in front of the grill, each filled with various things, all of which looked delicious, and he wanted to try them all.
There were no more free samples today, so Lin Weiming and Liu Junlan worked together, grilling the sweet potato noodles that had been steamed yesterday over charcoal.
"Which one?" Lin Weiming glanced down as he worked. "Oh, these are all toppings. There are slices of roasted meat, roasted tofu, this braised pork skin, and various kinds of sauces..."
"You can add whatever you like, but it will cost an extra penny for each additional portion. A maximum of three ingredients can be added to a single sweet potato noodle; any more than that won't fit."
Since the size of sweet potato peel is limited, if you put in too much, you will naturally have to reduce the amount of other ingredients.
"Oh." The person at the front of the line understood, but this meant he wouldn't be able to buy all the ingredients he wanted for three coins.
"Then give me some braised pork skin and a serving of soy milk!" the man said.
Liu Junlan worked quickly and efficiently, and soon handed the man what he wanted.
He didn't need to dine in for breakfast; he simply ate a sweet potato pancake wrapped in oil paper with a bowl of soy milk in one hand, standing at the door.
They returned the bowl of soy milk.
Basically, everyone who came to buy yesterday was willing to add an extra serving of soy milk, but not as many people were willing to add extra toppings as they had expected.
The young waiter in line was in a dilemma. He had received a tip from the boss for running errands yesterday, and he could easily add an extra serving of soy milk and a few more toppings.
But what if the boss snatches it away again?
There are so many other workers and doctors waiting to eat!
How could he possibly win by himself?
