Chapter 226 My sister is biased!

Wow~

Lin Ziqiu was so shocked that his eyes widened, his face full of disbelief.

"Master, you're amazing! You actually managed to get through it!" Lin Ziqiu picked up the wooden piece and examined it closely. It was indeed a silver needle as thin as a cow's hair that had completely pierced through the wooden piece.

If such strength were applied to a person, there would be no place that couldn't be penetrated.

A sense of fear arose in Lin Ziqiu's heart, but it was quickly replaced by a feeling of ecstasy. He excitedly said to Hu Jiuyuan, "Master, I will practice hard from now on! I will never complain. Master is so amazing, I will definitely learn well by following you."

"Hmph, at least you have some sense now. Now that you know, don't waste your time, hurry up and practice." Hu Jiuyuan proudly raised his chin and stroked his long white beard.

In order to reach the level of Hu Jiuyuan, who could pierce wood with a single silver needle, Lin Ziqiu practiced even more diligently.

His diligence and hard work made the other children in the family feel ashamed. Even the eldest son, Lin Zhongyuan, who was always the most serious, saw his fourth son practicing with a silver needle all the time after school. He even ate a few bites haphazardly during meals without relaxing for a moment.

"Fourth brother, aren't you going to take a break? I heard from second and third brothers that you've been training all day," Lin Zhongyuan said.

"It's nothing," Lin Ziqiu said without looking up. "Big brother, you should go and rest first. I still have a lot to learn, and time is of the essence, so we have to hurry."

"Then I don't need to rest anymore, I'm in a hurry!" Lin Zhongyuan quickly returned to his room, picked up his book and continued reading.

Lin Zheyun, the second son of the Lin family, and Lin Zihan, the third son, who were not so enthusiastic about studying, didn't dare to meet Lin Ziqiu. They would run away as soon as they saw him.

When the two of them got together to play, they would whisper to each other and crickets would chirp at him behind his back.

"That fourth brother of mine, he's been spending all his time studying stuff these days, and he doesn't want to play with us anymore. Could it be that that quack doctor really has some kind of magic potion on him?"

"Mmm." Lin Zihan nodded: "I think so too! We've been together every day, and I've never seen him so serious before! It must be that quack doctor's doing. Let's try to avoid them in the future."

"Yes! I don't want to be like the fourth brother, all he does is study." Lin Zheyun said with lingering fear, then suddenly turned to Lin Zihan and said, "Third brother, how many times have you gone to the shop with Dad and Grandma? Let me go tomorrow, okay? I'll hunt birds for you to eat!"

"That won't do." Lin Zihan shook his head like a rattle drum, flatly rejecting his second brother's request: "I used to have the fourth brother to play with, but now he's always busy. How boring would it be for me to be home alone?"

"But I'm so bored at home too," Lin Zheyun pouted sadly.

He really has no talent when it comes to studying. It's one thing for him to not be able to beat his older brother in exams, but now he can't even beat his two younger brothers.

If you can't complete the task each time, you naturally won't get a spot to work at the store.

Suddenly, Lin Zihan patted his second brother on the shoulder: "Second brother, look!"

Lin Zheyun followed Lin Zihan's gaze and saw that the window of her sister's room was open, and a soft little body was lying on the windowsill, waving at Lin Ziqiu.

Hearing his sister's call, Lin Ziqiu finally put down the silver needles in his hand and went over.

"Shall we go take a look?" Lin Zheyun smiled at Lin Zihan.

Lin Zihan immediately understood.

The two of them tiptoed after her and hid under the window of Lin Wanyue's room to eavesdrop.

Lin Wanyue took out a large pile of miscellaneous nutritional supplements from her spatial storage, many of which were for protecting eyesight, along with a fragrant roasted chicken.

The delicious aroma wafted through the window, making Lin Zihan and Lin Zheyun, who were eavesdropping underneath, drool with envy.

"Little sister, where did you get this roast chicken? Is it for me?" Lin Ziqiu, who was inside the house, was also wiping the drool from the corner of his mouth.

Lin Wanyue's soft voice came over: "It's for your brother. He's been practicing hard lately, so you have to study hard. If Wanwan gets sick in the future, you'll have to rely on your brother."

"Don't worry, little sister! I'll definitely study hard. But if Wanwan is a good girl and dresses properly, she won't get sick," Lin Ziqiu comforted his sister.

Being sick is never a good thing; it means having to take bitter medicine.

Lin Ziqiu didn't want his sister to get sick.

His sister is so well-behaved and cute; she'll become ugly when she's sick.

Lin Ziqiu tore off a chicken leg and handed it to Lin Wanyue. Just as he was about to tear off the second one, he noticed something was amiss. Looking around, he spotted his second and third brothers peering out the window.

Lin Zheyun and Lin Zihan finally couldn't hold back any longer and climbed onto the windowsill, drooling and staring longingly.

"Second Brother, Third Brother, what are you doing here?" Lin Ziqiu and Lin Wanyue asked in unison.

Lin Zheyun said, feeling wronged, "Little sister, why do you only give the fourth brother the best food? Don't you like the other brothers anymore?"

Before Lin Wanyue could explain, she clearly wanted to nourish Lin Ziqiu because she saw that he had been studying too hard and his face had become thinner.

“That must be it. My sister used to share her treats with me, but now she only secretly gives them to that fourth brother!” Lin Zihan blurted out, her voice full of grievance.

Heartbreak isn't about making a scene, but about feeling endless grievances.
