Liu Family
Young Master Liu has no ambition and has lived for so many years without knowing what it means to be ambitious. If it weren't for his father forcing him, he wouldn't even want to leave the house on ordinary days.
But today he lingered around the main entrance several times, looking very anxious.
This greatly surprised Master Liu.
"Oh dear, son, what's wrong with you? If you want to go out, just go out. What are you doing wandering around here?" Old Master Liu asked as he came over with his hands behind his back.
"Ah..." Young Master Liu saw his father and hesitated to speak.
"Just tell me what's going on. Is there anything you can't tell your father?" Old Master Liu was also a little worried when he saw him like this.
If a child is quiet, they're definitely up to no good.
Mr. Liu knew his son quite well; he was a bit simple-minded and always running around happily. Now that he was so quiet, it was really hard for him to adjust.
Could it be that he's gotten himself into trouble and is afraid to tell him?
“Hmm…” Young Master Liu sighed and said, “Father, I’m worried about Yan Dajiang. He’s too stubborn. I was afraid that his house was not good, so I specially asked Master Lin to go and take a look at it for him. Master Lin said that there was a problem with the house, but he just wouldn’t believe it and insisted on living there.”
"If they don't believe it, they don't believe it. But why do you have to meddle? What if you offend Master Lin? Since you don't have anything to do today, take some things to Master Lin and apologize to him properly." When Master Liu heard about this, he was afraid that his son would ruin the relationship with the Lin family because of someone else.
That would be a huge loss!
The Liu family was considered a prominent family in the entire county, and they had a considerable amount of money.
But what do all these things matter in the face of Lin Wanyue's abilities?
They're not even afraid of ghosts!
If it's for the sake of one's own family, then it's a last resort.
But if Young Master Liu offends Lin Wanyue for the sake of an outsider, he's really making a huge mistake.
“Oh no…” Young Master Liu frowned. “Father, that’s not what I’m worried about! Although Yan Dajiang is a bit stubborn, he’s always been the most trustworthy person.”
"He and I made plans to go to the tea plantation together today, but he still hasn't arrived... It's almost dark now, and I'm worried something might have happened to him?"
Although Old Master Liu was much older than his son, he was quick-witted. He patted his son on the shoulder and said, "Son, this is a good opportunity. You must not go to his house alone! Quickly take Master Lin with you. If something happens, you can save him. If nothing happens, you can apologize to Master Lin."
"Huh?" Young Master Liu was stunned and scratched his head as he asked, "Dad, didn't you say you were afraid I would offend Master Lin? Now you're calling him over. What if nothing happens? I'm afraid Brother Yan might say something that will upset people."
"You idiot, just go when I tell you to, stop talking nonsense." Old Master Liu kicked his son out of the house.
He already felt in his heart that Yan Dajiang was likely in grave danger.
Sending Young Master Liu to pick up Lin Wanyue was also to prevent him from acting recklessly.
Despite the approaching nightfall, Young Master Liu hurriedly led his men to the Lin family's residence.
When the Lin family heard that Young Master Liu had come because of Yan Dajiang's matter, they all advised him that since the other party did not believe him, he did not need to be so enthusiastic.
Lin Wanyue had already eaten dinner and was feeling a bit full. She used her small hands to do some calculations and realized that something was wrong.
“But since Brother Liu is here, let’s go visit his house,” Lin Wanyue said.
"Alright, alright, I've got a lantern. Let's go right now," Young Master Liu said hastily.
"Hey, wait a minute, I'll go with you!" Lin Weiming picked up Lin Wanyue and followed behind Young Master Liu.
While walking, Lin Weiming asked in a low voice, "Wanwan, is it true that something happened to that person?"
“Hmm…” Lin Wanyue nodded: “It is a little not good.”
Lin Weiming said, "Then let's walk faster."
"Yes, yes, yes," Young Master Liu quickly replied.
Lin Weiming and Liu Dashao jogged all the way and finally arrived at the outside of Yan Dajiang's newly bought house.
Upon inquiring with the two old servants, they learned that Yan Dajiang had not appeared all day, and the two servants became somewhat anxious.
Especially Young Master Liu, who was so anxious he was almost in tears: "Master Lin, what should we do? I was the one who persuaded him to come to our county town, and now he's disappeared. How am I going to explain this to his family..."
Bringing friends along, not only did we not make any money, but now we've even lost them!
"Don't worry, he's still in this house," Lin Wanyue comforted Liu Dashao.
"Really? But didn't Uncle Zhou and the others just say they searched the whole house and still couldn't find Brother Yan?" Young Master Liu stopped crying and looked at Lin Wanyue with teary eyes.
Lin Wanyue took out the two copper coins that Yan Dajiang had tossed to Lin Weiming from her bosom, flipped them up on her finger, and pointed to the well in the yard based on the clues given by the two copper coins.
"There."
These two copper coins were thrown out by Yan Dajiang, so they naturally carry his aura, allowing us to sense his current location.
The expressions of everyone present changed.
Yan Dajiang is already in the well?
Wouldn't that mean the worst is yet to come...? Is there any chance of survival?
But regardless of whether he was dead or alive, Lin Weiming and the others had to go and check on him.
The two old servants of the Yan family were carrying lanterns, but as soon as they approached the well, before they even reached it, the lanterns suddenly went out on their own.
