Chapter 22 A Gentle Reminder

Yun Chuwei and Guiyan arrived at He Ning's room and saw He Ning eating.

Upon seeing Yun Chuwei, He Ning stopped eating, went to her side, and pulled her to sit down at the table.

She smiled gently and kindly.

"Weiwei, you're back? You must not have eaten yet, come and eat something with your mother!" He Ning said, looking at Guiyan, "Guiyan, quickly serve your young lady some rice!"

Guiyan quickly agreed, picked up the empty bowl and chopsticks, and served Yun Chuwei a bowl of rice.

Yun Chu raised an eyebrow slightly.

He Ning doesn't seem to have thrown a big tantrum. Could Guiyan's information be wrong?

She said, "I heard Mother got angry after she woke up? Getting angry easily isn't good for your health!"

He Ning smiled somewhat embarrassedly.

She thought for a moment and then said, "Guiyan, you haven't eaten either, have you? Why don't you go find Granny Song to eat? I want to talk to your young lady!"

Guiyan was very perceptive and immediately agreed and left.

Seeing that only the two of them were left in the room, He Ning picked up a piece of meat for Yun Chuwei and said, "I'm angry because of Yun Qianming. I doubt whether this guy is really my biological son!"

How could he hire a charlatan to harm his own sister while she was unconscious?

Yun Chuwei slowly said, "They should be his biological children!"

He Ning was somewhat deflated: "I know she's my biological daughter, that's why I'm so angry. Weiwei, I'm sorry, it's my fault for not protecting you!"

As Yun Chuwei ate slowly, she said, "This has nothing to do with you. Besides, I can protect myself!"

He Ning frowned and remained silent after hearing this.

Although Weiwei doesn't need her protection, and although Weiwei has already sent the person who harmed her to the Jingzhao Prefecture.

But she couldn't refuse to compensate Weiwei because of these things.

“Weiwei, how about this? The properties and estates that were originally registered under Yun Qianming’s name will be given to you. Also, Yun Qianming’s monthly allowance will only be one tael from now on, and the rest will all be yours.”

Upon hearing this, Yun Chuwei smiled and said, "Just keep what you're going to give him; you don't need to give it to me!"

He Ning shook his head: "I want Yun Qianming to see what belongs to him transferred to you. How can he learn his lesson if he doesn't see it with his own eyes? Don't refuse!"

Seeing that He Ning had already said so much, Yun Chuwei no longer refused: "I will listen to my mother!"

"Good girl!" He Ning patted Yun Chuwei's back with satisfaction, then seemed to think of something, his face darkening. "As for Yun Qianming, let him stay in that prison for now. I'll have Lord Xu teach him a lesson! When he gets out, I'll deal with him myself."

Yun Chu raised an eyebrow slightly, continued eating, and did not express any opinion.

She hadn't originally intended to let Yun Qianming off the hook so easily.

However, now that He Ning is taking over this matter, she has let He Ning handle it.

She quite liked this mother, so whether He Ning wanted to protect Yun Qianming or teach Yun Qianming a lesson, she would give He Ning some face.

Seeing that Yun Chuwei remained silent, He Ning thought for a moment and continued, "This matter is actually my fault. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have suffered this misfortune."

Yun Chuwei shook her head slightly: "My affairs have little to do with you. Even without your excuse, they would find many other ways to make one. So, have you gained anything from this?"

Yun Chuwei felt that if He Ning made such a fuss and gained nothing, then it would be a loss.

He Ning knew that Yun Chuwei was asking if she had gained anything from pretending to faint.

Granny Song told her that she wasn't surprised when Yun Chuwei found out that she was faking her poisoning.

After all, she knew very well that Yun Chuwei could read faces.

She didn't intend to hide these things from Yun Chuwei.

However, thinking about the results she had found, her face darkened.

"The first person Yun Lianhua contacted was my sister, He An, who is also your aunt."

"He An?"

Yun Chu lowered her eyes in deep thought.

She felt the name was familiar.

However, in her previous life she hadn't paid attention to He Ning's relatives, so how could she feel familiar with them?

Yun Chuwei quickly went through everything from her previous life in her mind, and finally remembered one person.

In Yun Lianhua's older brother's file, it seems that her mother wrote Luo An's name.

“He An, Luo An…”

Yun Chuwei narrowed her eyes. Both of these people were related to Yun Lianhua. Was it a coincidence or something else?

He Ning didn't hear what Yun Chuwei said clearly, so he asked, "Weiwei, what are you saying?"

"I've rarely heard of this aunt, is there some reason for that?" Yun Chuwei asked.

In her previous life, she had never met either Luo An or He An.

I only heard that Yun Lianhua suddenly found her biological brother.

He Ning said in a low voice, "Your aunt is a rebel. Back then, your maternal grandparents arranged a marriage for her, but she disagreed and ran away from home."

"She disappeared without a trace for over a decade. She only returned to the capital a few years ago. According to her, she had been married and had children. Later, her husband died a violent death, and her child died young, which is why she returned to the capital!"

Yun Chuwei nodded and asked, "How does Mother intend to handle this matter?"

He Ning bit her lip and remained silent for a long time before finally saying, "I haven't figured out what to do yet!"

That was, after all, her younger sister; they were even twins.

Yun Chuwei stopped talking and just ate her meal quietly.

Fifteen minutes later, she put down her chopsticks and bowl: "I'm done eating!"

He Ning smiled and said, "Then go back and take a bath to relax. I'll have someone send you some herbal medicine later."

Yun Chuwei: ...

Although she really didn't want to take the medicine, she didn't say anything, just nodded and stood up.

She stopped in her tracks as she reached the door.

"What's wrong?" He Ning asked, looking at Yun Chuwei standing at the door.

Yun Chuwei didn't want to say much, but she felt that He Ning was indeed a good mother, so she turned around and said, "Mother, my divination has never been wrong!"

He Ning thought Yun Chuwei was seeking praise, so he smiled and said, "My Weiwei, of course you're the best!"

Yun Chu lowered her eyes and remained silent.

He Ning's smile gradually faded.

Yun Chuwei carefully chose her words and continued, "Sometimes, when you feel that the result does not match the divination, it may be because you have not found the truth!"

He Ning's face turned pale and then red.

"You...you mean...He An...He An..."

Yun Chuwei bowed to He Ning: "Mother, I have said everything I needed to say. I'll be going back now!"

After saying that, she turned and left.

As He Ning watched Yun Chuwei's departing figure, he felt a chill run through his body.

She was secretly relieved when she learned that Yun Lianhua had contacted He An first.
