Yun Chuwei turned her head slightly and looked at Li Zhengkui.
Her lips were slightly upturned, and her lips seemed a little pale.
"Your Excellency, may I speak?"
Li Zhengkui solemnly asked, "How can I, like you, accurately determine the prefectures and counties where celestial phenomena will manifest?"
Yun Chuwei's lips twitched slightly as she slowly spoke, "Being able to make accurate judgments isn't necessarily a good thing!"
After saying that, she spat out a mouthful of blood.
Li Zhengkui was shocked and reached out to support Yun Chuwei, asking, "Lingtai Lang, what's wrong?"
Yun Chuwei wiped the blood from her lips and said slowly, "It's nothing, just a backlash! That's why I said it might not be a good thing!"
Li Zhengkui and Mo Xu exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with shock.
Outsiders may not know the meaning behind the word "backlash".
However, as officials of the Imperial Astronomical Bureau, they were well aware of the meaning and significance of these two terms.
Just then, two people rushed up from below the observatory.
One is Jiang Wanqiu, and the other is Huo Qingjue.
Huo Qingjue took the person from Li Zhengkui, while Jiang Wanqiu took out a pill and put it to Yun Chuwei's lips.
Yun Chuwei didn't say anything and just ate it.
Jiang Wanqiu said, "Your Excellency, Miss Yun may need to rest. Could you arrange for someone else to be on duty at the Observatory today?"
Li Zhengkui nodded quickly.
Huo Qingjue wanted to pick up Yun Chuwei.
Yun Chuwei pressed his hand down.
"I can walk," she said softly.
Huo Qingjue didn't say anything, but simply helped Yun Chuwei walk down.
Jiang Wanqiu followed beside her.
They had only gone halfway up the steps when they saw Xie Xuan appear at the bottom.
After Xie Xuan got off the carriage, he stood alone by the street for a long time before finally deciding to come and find Yun Chuwei again.
He never expected to see such a scene.
Yun Chuwei had clearly vomited blood again.
He didn't understand why she kept vomiting blood.
He strode forward with his long legs and arrived at the three people's side in a few steps.
He bent down to hug the person, but his sleeve was grabbed by a fair and slender hand.
"No need, I can walk!" Yun Chuwei said softly.
Xie Xuan frowned slightly, and ignoring her objections, picked her up and carried her horizontally.
Huo Qingjue reached out and grabbed Xie Xuan's arm, saying unhappily, "Your Highness Prince Xuan! Miss Yun said she can walk!"
Xie Xuan's face darkened, his gaze sweeping over Huo Qingjue's hand gripping him, his voice chillingly cold: "If you don't let go, I don't mind cutting off your arm!"
Huo Qingjue's face darkened. He wanted to say something, but found that Jiang Wanqiu had grabbed his arm.
Jiang Wanqiu shook her head at Huo Qingjue.
Yun Chuwei's claim that she can walk is just bravado.
They were Yun Chuwei's subordinates, and since Yun Chuwei said she would leave, they had no choice but to obey her.
But His Highness Prince Xuan doesn't necessarily have to listen to Miss Yun.
By sending Miss Yun back, he was actually helping them.
Huo Qingjue met Jiang Wanqiu's eyes, frowned, and finally withdrew her hand.
Xie Xuan picked up Yun Chuwei and turned to leave.
Jiang Wanqiu and Huo Qingjue stood on the steps and looked on, while Li Zhengkui and Mo Xu stood on the high platform and watched.
"I was wondering why His Majesty would assign a royal physician to Yun Chuwei. It turns out it's so that he can treat Yun Chuwei at all times!" Li Zhengkui sighed.
Mo Xu nodded in agreement. Previously, they had only thought that His Majesty's favor towards Yun Chuwei was truly boundless.
What seemed unreasonable before now seems reasonable.
Yun Chuwei is a prodigy, the kind of person who would suffer a backlash for revealing heavenly secrets.
Such people only exist in legends, such as Zhang Lian, a founding marquis of the current dynasty and a strategist.
They never imagined they would meet someone like this in their entire lives.
But they saw it.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that such a person deserves protection from half of the Embroidered Uniform Guards and half of the Imperial Physicians.
Li Zhengkui watched Xie Xuan leave and said in a low voice, "Just now, before you came, I was thinking of giving her some pointers!"
Looking back now, he truly brought shame upon himself.
Mo Xu strategically cleared his throat and then said, "None of that matters. What matters is what we should do now?"
His Majesty entrusted such a precious gem to their Imperial Observatory. If anything were to happen to him, they would be in deep trouble.
Upon hearing this, Li Zhengkui said, "Go to the city defense camp later and report that the Imperial Observatory has been robbed and needs to be reinforced. Recruit a few more doctors tomorrow. Also, forget everything you saw and heard today!"
Mo Xu nodded.
He suddenly realized something, moved closer to Li Zhengkui, and whispered, "What does His Majesty mean by bestowing Miss Yun in marriage to Prince Xuan?"
Could it be that the crown prince is really going to be replaced?
Li Zhengkui stared intently: "How could you or I possibly guess His Majesty's thoughts? However... His Majesty initially intended to bestow a marriage upon Miss Yun and His Highness the Crown Prince, didn't he? It was the Crown Prince who refused the marriage!"
Mo Xu sneered, "I hope our Crown Prince never finds out who rejected the marriage proposal."
Li Zhengkui glanced up at Mo Xu: "You talk too much!"
Do not remain silent.
Xie Xuan held Yun Chuwei in his arms and felt that she was very light, small and tiny, like a kitten.
He tightened his grip, pressing her close to his chest.
He whispered, "Yun Chuwei, I don't know what I wanted before, and I don't know what I'll want in the future, but right now, I just don't want to let go of your hand. I hid the fact that you saved me because I was afraid you'd leave me and go find the Crown Prince. Please don't blame me, okay?"
Yun Chuwei did not hear what Xie Xuan said clearly.
