Chapter 36 Murder, Revenge, Arrest

[I'm a dark, scheming person, and all I want to say is, well done! If it were me, none of them would have survived!]

【I think your daughter-in-law is quite filial and good. She killed your son and then made him into mincemeat for you to eat. See? Isn't that better than feeding her swill? I would definitely praise your daughter-in-law for doing a good job!】

[Her family must be very worried after being abducted for so many years.]

The people in this village are absolutely inhuman!

“I hit and scolded her with my son because it was for her own good. If she had just lived a peaceful and stable life with my son, none of this would have happened. I would definitely have treated her well.”

"But...but she's been restless ever since she arrived. She's always flirting with this person or that person, and she's always trying to find a way to escape. Everyone has a temper, and we only hit her a few times to teach her a lesson. Who would have thought...who would have thought she would hold a grudge?"

"Of course, we were also at fault; we were a little too heavy-handed."

"Host, I know I was wrong, I really know I was wrong, please save me."

Li Lian retorted, not feeling that she had done anything wrong, but when she looked at Master Jiang, who was wearing a hat and mask with only his eyes showing, through her phone, she immediately admitted her mistake.

Those eyes were so dark and deep that they seemed to see right through people's hearts; even through the screen, she could feel her gaze.

It was a little creepy, and a little scary.

[She's someone else's daughter, and she was trafficked. It would be foolish for her not to run away.]

[The streamer claims she was beaten so badly she suffered a stomach hemorrhage and even became infertile, yet she has the nerve to say she was only hit a few times? Where's her face?]

Does your son count as a son, but other people's daughters not?

Click—

The light illuminated the entire wardrobe, revealing Li Lian's appearance to the camera.

The face was originally unclear, but now it is clearly visible.

Her face was covered in wrinkles, bearing the marks of time, and stained with blood. As for her features...

He has a pointed face and monkey-like features, with sharp and murky eyes; he doesn't look like someone to be trifled with.

[You can tell from his face that he's not a good person.]

I agree. In real life, I would stay as far away from people with that kind of face as possible and have absolutely no connection with them!

Even as relatives, I wouldn't want to associate with her.

When Li Lian saw the cabinet door open, she stared in astonishment and fear at the gaunt woman holding a knife in front of her.

The cleaver was stained with blood, but a faint glint of cold light could still be seen.

"I've found you." Yao Fang, blind in one eye and unfocused in the other, stared intently at Li Lian, whose face was pale and frightened.

Seeing Li Lian like this, Yao Fang recalled how she had been beaten by them before, and how she had looked just like that.

She finally understood why Li Lian and her son enjoyed hitting her so much; it gave them real pleasure when they saw the fear on her face.

However, fortunes change.

She used to be the one showing this fear, now it's this old geezer's turn.

"Yao Fang, you, you mustn't do anything rash! I've already called the police!"

"If you let me go, I might treat you leniently; if you kill me, you won't live either!"

Li Lianxin's heart was pounding. Her back was pressed against the wardrobe, her hand tightly gripping her phone, and she spoke in a trembling voice, looking wary.

"Killing one is the same as killing two, there's no difference."

"If someone like you dies, it can be considered that I have rid the people of a scourge."

Yao Fang was not afraid at all.

She had already prepared for the worst since she dared to kill her son.

Rather than be abused by the mother and son and live a life neither human nor ghost, she would rather be executed or stay in prison forever.

At least, they can act like human beings, not like animals.

Yao Fang smiled, a bloodthirsty smile, her eyes suddenly turning sharp as she raised her knife and slashed it into the cabinet.

Despite her injuries, Li Lian was still quite agile. When she saw the gleaming blade coming at her, she rushed out of the wardrobe with all her might.

The cleaver missed its target.

Li Lian dared not relax. Her legs went weak and she sat on the ground. When she saw Yao Fang turn her head to look at her, she used her hands to support herself on the ground and her buttocks to move backward, her whole body trembling.

She dared to treat Yao Fang that way before because her son was backing her up, and because Yao Fang was beaten so badly that she was powerless to fight back.

Later, after Yao Fang was able to earn money, they stopped hitting her as much.

After all, people come here to enjoy themselves; if they see someone covered in blood, who would be interested?

Now that her son is gone, and Yao Fang is holding a kitchen knife, she is no match for her at all.

A hint of surprise flashed across Yao Fang's eyes, as if she hadn't expected Li Lian to still have the strength to dodge.

She thought her mobility would be limited after her injury, but it seems she underestimated her.

Yao Fang pulled out a kitchen knife and walked barefoot towards Li Lian step by step.

With each step closer, Li Lian felt as if a powerful and fierce beast was about to devour her.

"You, you stay away, don't come any closer!" Li Lian said fearfully, instinctively throwing her phone away in an attempt to stop Yao Fang.

Yao Fang was hit squarely by the phone, but compared to the pain she had suffered before, being hit by the phone didn't seem to hurt at all.

At least, she felt no pain; in fact, she was numb.

The phone fell to the ground. Yao Fang looked down and stopped in her tracks.

“I know you. You are Master Jiang. I saw Li Lian mention you before.” Yao Fang spoke, her voice becoming gentler and her eyes softening as she addressed the camera.

[Covered in blood and wounds, and emaciated beyond recognition, how could Old Deng have the nerve to say he was being fed and cared for!]

[My heart aches for this girl! It's infuriating, I feel like jumping into the screen!]
