Ster's expression changed slightly, and he withdrew his leg.
With a flip, it landed steadily on the ground.
He wiped his nose with his hand and then assumed a fighting stance.
This man actually managed to catch that attack!
"That kick of yours was pretty powerful. If it had been any harder, you might have smashed my face." The scarred man withdrew the hand that was covering his face and patted the arm with his other hand.
He hadn't expected the child to be so strong and have such a good jumping ability.
With just a light jump using the chair, I can leap in front of him and kick him in the face.
Fortunately, he reacted quickly, otherwise his face would have been ruined.
"What a pity, I couldn't smash your face," Ster said coldly.
"You...you're not an ordinary person, you're a superhuman," the scarred man asserted.
"How were you able to find us so quickly and convince the police immediately that you're from the Secret Service?" the scarred man continued.
Normally, reporting a crime requires time to investigate or verify, but he found them immediately. What's more, even the police believed him. The fact that the police only dared to let him in alone shows that the police believed in his abilities.
There's only one possibility: he's from the Bureau of Mysteries.
He should have realized it sooner, but he was misled by his appearance and, like those idiots, actually thought he was a rich young master.
If I had known he was from the Bureau of Mysteries, I should have just returned the item to him.
Their boss said to keep a low profile and not to be targeted by the Secret Service.
Unexpectedly, these idiots went and provoked the people from the Mysterious Bureau.
Those lying on the ground or those who hadn't yet rushed up froze upon hearing the words "Mysterious Bureau."
This kid looks like a middle school student. Is he from the Bureau of Mysteries?
Goodness, they've really run into a tough opponent!
The Mysterious Bureau belongs to Guo Jia!
If we attack the people of the Mysterious Bureau, wouldn't that be attacking Guo Jia?
"The Secret Service? Is it really the Secret Service?"
"If the boss says so, then it must be."
"No wonder he's so skilled; none of us are a match for him."
"What's wrong with Erguotou's eyes? Stealing from the Secret Service? Aren't you afraid of dying?!"
"No wonder he knew where we were so quickly."
The men whispered amongst themselves.
If their boss hadn't said he was from the Mysterious Bureau, and the kid hadn't denied it, they really wouldn't have believed it was true.
Does the Secret Service even hire child laborers?
Isn't this illegal?
"Knowing you're a superhuman, and still managing to block my kick, you must be a superhuman too, right?" Ster looked up, his dark eyes meeting the scarred man's, and asked with certainty.
The Bureau of Mysteries refers to all people with superpowers as "superpowered individuals," while outsiders generally refer to them as "talented people with extraordinary abilities."
He calmly uttered the words "superpowered person," which shows that he knows a lot about superpowered people.
How could an ordinary person possibly bother to learn about things they don't know or have no access to?
The only possibility is that he is also a superhuman.
The person who could withstand his attack must be a superhuman with strength-related abilities.
The scarred man smiled.
His smile meant that Ster was right.
"You guys go quickly, I'll handle him," the scarred man said, glancing at the group.
Superpowered individuals are not something ordinary people like them can handle; staying here would only be a burden.
After the scarred man finished speaking, he shouted loudly, and his clothes suddenly turned into shreds as if they had been cut open with sharp scissors, falling to the ground and revealing his muscles.
As soon as he finished speaking, the scarred man charged forward and attacked Ster.
Ster was not to be outdone and went to meet them.
The two men clenched their fists and swung them at each other, their fists colliding as if an invisible force was at play.
The scarred man then raised his other hand and struck at Ster, who reacted quickly to dodge.
The two fought back and forth, their movements swift and lightning-fast.
Those people were stunned.
They knew their boss was powerful, but they had never seen him unleash his full power.
Now that they've seen it with their own eyes, they can only feel that their boss truly deserves to be their boss.
Of course, the kid from that mysterious agency was no slouch either; he was able to go toe-to-toe with their boss using sheer strength.
However--
A smarter person would see that Ster was at a disadvantage.
He is not a superhuman; all his strength is the result of years of training and accumulation.
From the initial regular training, to the increased weight training, to carrying sandbags and wearing weighted leg irons and handcuffs...
Finally, he fought against the superhumans in the bureau.
No, he trained himself by being beaten up unilaterally.
His strength is still somewhat inferior to that of superhumans.
Just then, the sound of a whistle rang out from outside the door.
"Police! Lots of police are coming! Run!" Those watching snapped out of their daze and realized this wasn't the time to watch the show.
run!
If we don't run, we'll definitely get caught!
Immediately, everyone scattered and fled.
Some climbed out of the windows, some hid, and some, in their panic, didn't have time to think and reflexively rushed towards the door.
Ster glanced at the people scattering and fleeing, hoping only that the police would act quickly and that no one would escape.
Bang--
Ster raised his hand to block the scarred man's attack, but he still made a mistake.
The scarred man clenched his other fist and swung it at Ster's face.
Bang--
A heavy punch landed on Ster's nose, causing him to stagger back two steps, his ears ringing, and his nose bleeding.
That punch was indeed quite powerful.
However, it's still within his tolerance range.
