"The most important thing is that the child is only in the last year of kindergarten. How could such a small child take the elevator up to the fourteenth floor to play such a prank?"
“Other families also have children, but they are all grown up, either living at school or working or starting businesses in other cities, and none of them are at home.”
The middle-aged woman spoke, her brows furrowed, clearly troubled.
"Yes, it definitely wasn't that little kid who rang the doorbell. A child that small needs to be watched by an adult when going out. How could we let a child go out alone? Besides, there have been several other times when they rang our doorbell in the middle of the night when we were sound asleep."
“The doorbell has been ringing more often lately. Sometimes I get woken up several times a night. We’re just working people, and we have to go to work during the day.”
"Looking like this, and looking like this, the boss thinks we...we've had all our life force drained!"
The middle-aged man raised his hand and slapped his thigh, unable to express his bitterness.
He told his boss they had encountered a ghost, but his boss didn't believe him and even told them to be more restrained.
What does this have to do with self-control? They've just been possessed by a ghost!
“Yes, my husband and I work in the same factory. He watches over the machines, and I work on a piece-rate basis. Lately, because of this incident, we haven't been able to work properly, and our work efficiency has decreased.”
"Although the boss didn't say anything, but... if this continues, how will we be able to get any work done?"
"If you don't work, if you don't go to work, you'll starve to death."
The middle-aged woman echoed her husband's words, looking helpless.
“We also asked the neighbors, and strangely enough... they all said they didn’t hear any doorbell ring, which is even more bizarre and strange. It can’t be that we’re just hallucinating, right?”
The middle-aged man continued, his confusion growing with each word.
Based on all the evidence, he concluded that they had seen a ghost.
His mother died young, about twelve years ago. After he got married, his father found another wife in the countryside, and now the old couple lives there.
It couldn't possibly be that his elderly mother missed him and wanted to see him, so she rang the doorbell, could it?
If that's the case, why not just enter the dream directly?
So he figured they must have inadvertently gotten into some kind of filth and brought it home with them.
They washed themselves with grapefruit water and sprinkled salt at the door, but nothing worked; it seemed like the ghost had its eyes on their house.
What about the security footage? Have you checked the footage?
I feel like it was done by a ghost.
I will not make any statement; I will only listen to Master Jiang's answer.
Check the security footage. If there's no one on it, then it's definitely that thing causing the trouble.
“We’ve lived here for years without any problems, so we haven’t installed any surveillance cameras.”
“I had a technician come and install it a few days ago. It was right in front of my door. The doorbell rang less frequently for a few days, but after a few days, it started ringing more frequently again, as if in revenge. I checked the security camera footage but didn’t see anyone. The doorbell just kept ringing.”
“We also tried staking out the door and opening it the moment the doorbell rang to see if someone was playing tricks. But strangely, the doorbell would stop ringing when we were staking out the door, and then it would ring again when we let our guard down.”
The middle-aged woman spoke up.
In short, they tried everything, even hiring a master to come to their home and giving the master five thousand yuan, but nothing worked.
They went back to find the master to ask about the situation, but the master had disappeared.
They've been scammed.
Having exhausted all other options, I had no choice but to try my luck in Master Jiang's live stream.
They were really lucky; they won the lottery.
They just hope that Master Jiang can help them solve this problem, otherwise they will have a lot more to endure.
"Yes, we did consider taking the doorbell off, but that would only be a temporary fix. I'm afraid that ghost might do something else." The middle-aged man scratched his head in frustration, looking troubled.
[Hiss, that's strange.]
[This is a bit strange, and even a bit mysterious. Did you guys do something?]
[There was no sign of anyone on the security cameras; it's definitely a ghost.]
“We’re just laborers. We work during the day and come home at night. Occasionally we’ll have a few drinks and a meal with friends. We live a very routine life, going back and forth between home and work. What could we possibly do to deserve being hated by ghosts?” the middle-aged man explained.
"Master Jiang, do you know what kind of ghost that is?" The middle-aged man looked at Jiang Yuan again and asked.
“The one ringing your doorbell isn’t a ghost, it’s a person,” Jiang Yuan said calmly.
"Huh? A person? If it's a person, why didn't the surveillance camera capture it?" The couple both exclaimed in surprise upon hearing Jiang Yuan's words, and then the middle-aged man asked.
"Who played such a prank? We haven't done anything wrong," the middle-aged woman asked, her voice rising slightly after hearing it was a person and not a ghost.
If it's a ghost, it'll be difficult to handle; if it's a human, they won't be afraid!
“Your neighbor across the hall resents your disrespect and rings your doorbell every day to get revenge.”
“After you installed surveillance cameras, he was afraid of being caught on camera, so he bought a toy that could imitate the sound of a doorbell. He used a remote control to operate the toy, avoiding the surveillance cameras, to your door, and then made the toy make the sound of a doorbell.”
"Have you noticed any sounds besides the doorbell ringing, like something hitting the door, these past few days?"
Jiang Yuan asked calmly.
The middle-aged woman nodded, "Yes, there really is one, but the sound is a bit soft."
"That's the sound of a toy hitting the door. Because the toy is so small, the sound was drowned out by the doorbell. And because the toy is so small, it can be bypassed by going around the edge and avoiding the surveillance cameras outside your door."
