Chapter 23 Killing the Blood Flood Dragon

A tree without bark will surely die, and a person without shame is invincible.

How exactly do these people manage to do that?

Several cultivators retreated in unison, simultaneously increasing the distance between themselves and True Monarch Liuli.

"Our cultivation is too shallow; we'd better not get involved in this mess. Farewell!"

Liuli Zhenjun gritted his teeth in anger, "A bunch of cowards! Such a good opportunity is given to you, and you don't want it. You deserve to always be at the bottom."

"Isn't Wei Qinghe just relying on her good background to cultivate some high-level techniques? She's so young and has no experience at all. What can she do?"

Even though he suffered losses at Wei Qinghe's hands time and time again, Liuli Zhenjun still refused to admit that Wei Qinghe had real skills.

The monks completely ignored her and quickened their pace, fleeing as if avoiding a plague.

Liuli Zhenjun kicked a stone at his feet and said angrily, "If I had her background, I would naturally be stronger than her."

After saying that, he flew off on his sword in the direction Wei Qinghe had gone.

A dark figure suddenly appeared beside the fallen tree, a pair of sinister eyes hidden beneath a silver-gray mask.

...

Wei Qinghe rode her sword steadily, swift as lightning through the clouds and mist. Fang Buwei, standing behind her, was a little nervous at first, but quickly got used to it.

As the longsword swept across the dense forest of towering ancient trees, an intense chill immediately filled the air, and a considerable commotion arose ahead.

Wei Qinghe frowned slightly. The paper crane was also facing that direction, so she directly used a speed-up talisman.

The cold pool was not large, but its chilling atmosphere made one feel as if they were immediately immersed in a world of ice and snow.

The cultivators who come here, except for those with abnormal physical conditions, are almost all unafraid of the scorching heat and bitter cold, but at this moment, the surrounding cultivators are all being attacked by the cold.

Qiao Luoning moved swiftly above the icy pool, unleashing sword techniques one after another, causing the pool water to splash and ripple from the impact of the sword energy.

A splash of bright red caught Wei Qinghe's eye. She knew something was wrong and, without looking back, dragged Fang Buwei down with her.

A jade-like longsword shot out from beneath his feet, heading straight for the dragon's rising tail.

Wei Qinghe then stepped into the air and approached Qiao Luoning. Her wounds were black, clearly indicating poisoning. She quickly stuffed several pills into Qiao Luoning's mouth.

"It's Fellow Daoist Wei who has arrived."

The other cultivators who had come to help breathed a sigh of relief, as if their saviors had arrived.

Qiao Luoning's face was pale, and she looked much weaker.

"Junior Sister".

She actually felt wronged. She was incredibly brave when she was fighting the Blood Dragon, but when she saw Wei Qinghe, she turned into a spoiled little girl.

"Young Miss, please rest for a while. I'll take care of things here."

Wei Qinghe felt heartbroken seeing her senior sister in this state.

"Junior Sister, be careful, that thing sucks blood," Qiao Luoning said hurriedly.

Wei Qinghe nodded slightly as if she had thought of something, and pulled out a spiritual energy ball from her Qiankun bag and handed it to Qiao Luoning, "This is a gift for Senior Sister. Make a contract with it, and it will help alleviate Senior Sister's pain."

Then, Qiao Luoning was pushed out of the cold pool. Qiao Luoning landed in a daze and stared at the three-headed snake in the spiritual energy ball.

It was as if they were both sizing each other up, or as if they were both looking down on each other.

"To form a contract with this weak female cultivator?"

"Contract with this ugly guy with so many heads, whose combat strength is still unknown?"

The jade-like longsword burst from the water and returned to Wei Qinghe's hand, with obvious bloodstains still on its blade.

It is evident that the Blood Dragon was already injured with just one sword strike.

The water was turbulent, and the creature in the water was quite large. Bang!

The blood dragon rose up in anger; its body was enormous, more than three times larger than the previous three-headed serpent.

Its two eyes, shaped like soccer balls, were filled with a fierce light, and its body was shrouded in black mist, making it look anything but ordinary.

It swung its tail at Wei Qinghe, and just as Wei Qinghe raised her sword to deal with the tail, its bloodthirsty head quickly moved closer.

This is a feint; its real purpose is to kill its opponent and drain them dry.

Wei Qinghe had anticipated this, and she acted swiftly, piercing the blood dragon's tail with a wisp of golden elemental power.

He slashed his long sword at the blood dragon's head, creating a large, long gash that sprayed blood into the pool water.

Enraged, the Blood Dragon opened its massive maw and lunged at Wei Qinghe, clearly intending to swallow her whole.

Wei Qinghe immediately unleashed her sword technique: [Heavenly Origin Ice Condensation Technique!]

Since the Blood Dragon is a water element, her sword technique is integrated into a fire element sword formation.

Dozens of sword energies imbued with the power of fire element erupted in the form of fire rings.

Just when everyone thought that the Blood Dragon's gaping maw was about to pierce through the Fire Ring and swallow Wei Qinghe whole, the original Fire Ring Sword Formation immediately changed, with the sword tips pointing inwards and piercing into the Blood Dragon's body.

Blood Dragon's seven-inch spot was hit by several sword energies, and in pain, it immediately twisted into a pretzel and fell heavily into the icy pool.

The icy pool water splashed onto the cultivators, each drop carrying immense power. Some cultivators were hurt, while others were knocked to the ground.

Upon seeing this, Wei Qinghe immediately grabbed his longsword and plunged into the icy pool.

"Junior Sister!"

Qiao Luoning was terrified. That was the lair of the Blood Dragon, and cultivators' combat power would be reduced in the water.

However, the three-headed snake in her hand exclaimed in surprise, "What is her identity? A girl with a bone age of just over twenty years old has such strong combat power. Not only can she severely injure this blood dragon, but she also dares to chase after it."

Previously, the three-headed serpent was unwilling to form a contract with Wei Qinghe, but now it seems to be considering it.
