In the evening, Lance arrived as promised, but was surprised to see Tu Ling's empty hands: "Where's my barbecue?"
Tu Ling's face was filled with annoyance, as if she had run into some trouble. "I'm sorry, Lance. I really want to make barbecue for you, but as you know, all the animals on land have gone into hiding, and the remaining ones have been killed by the orcs. I don't have the ingredients to make barbecue for you."
Lance thought it was a big deal, but it turned out they were out of ingredients. "That's a small problem. Can't I just ask them to give you the meat they got in exchange?"
He opened his mouth wide and shouted into the distance: "Send the prey you got to me—"
In order to get some peace and quiet, Lance deliberately moved away from the exchange place. Looking at the orcs there, there was only a small dot left. Tu Ling saw that he was about to shout and wanted to laugh at him for having no common sense, wondering how he could hear from such a distance. He didn't expect the mermaid's voice to be so penetrating, it hurt his ears so much.
"Next time, could you please not shout next to me? It's so noisy!" Tu Ling rubbed his ears, he had tinnitus.
"Also, the meat you exchanged can't be used for barbecue. Barbecue can only be made with meat that has just died. The ones you exchanged are all rotten."
Of course, rotten meat can be roasted and eaten, but it just doesn't taste good and will cause diarrhea. However, these orcs probably won't feel any stomach discomfort even if they eat rotten roasted meat.
But if Tu Ling wants to go to the sea, he must say that rotten meat cannot be used for barbecue, otherwise how can he find an excuse to find out whether the mermaids have that kind of beads.
I originally wanted to take Silver Trace out and show off my skills, but I kept getting blocked, so I can only write like this. There's nothing I can do about it~
