Chapter 14 Call Me Mother

"Master Tuling, can I come in?"

Shiyi's voice was that of a cheerful boy, very similar to the voice of a CV she liked very much before the end of the world. If Bai Qi hadn't told her that Shiyi was the leader of the patrol team, she would never have associated Shiyi with the word leader.

"Come in."

Shiki placed the wild boar on the ground and said, "I was patrolling just now and discovered that your camp's trap had been triggered. I took a look and saw it was a wild boar, so I brought it back for you."

Tu Ling nodded and thanked him.

Then the cave fell into sweet silence.

Shi Yi stood in the cave with his hands on his hips. Bai Qi and the others were concentrating on weaving baskets. The wolf cub was still sleeping. Tu Ling was using the only remaining crystals in the space to improve her skills. However, she was sitting cross-legged, looking like she was resting.

"Ahem!" Shiyi picked his toes awkwardly. Seeing Bai Qi busy, he quickly stepped forward to talk to him.

"What are you doing? I can help."

Tu Ling opened his eyes when he heard the voice, looked at the sky, and saw that it was almost dark: "You go first, it will be completely dark soon." Even if you want to help, you can't help when it's dark.

When Zi Ye heard Shi Yi wanted to help, he immediately pulled Shi Yi to sit down like a good brother and said, "Come, come, I will pass this glorious wisdom to you now."

"Wisdom?" Shi Yi was confused.

"This is what the female leader taught us. When you complete it, you will gain a share of female wisdom."

The smile on Zi Ye's face was very sincere, but Shi Yi was still a little skeptical. How could female wisdom be so easily acquired? He looked at Zi Ye suspiciously, then glanced at Bai Qi and Yin Hen.

Bai Qi and Yin Hen gave him a firm nod instead.

Shiyi's eyes widened. Could this be true? His heart couldn't help but tremble. Could he also gain wisdom? The surprise came so suddenly, but Tu Ling would probably not agree.

"Lord Tu Ling, can I join them?"

If Lord Tu Ling disagrees, he will act like a spoiled child. His mother said that what she can't stand the most is his acting like a spoiled child. As long as he acts like a spoiled child, others will definitely agree to any of his requests.

Tu Ling naturally wanted him to stay here and work, but it was too dark to do the work: "Okay, but you should come back tomorrow. It will soon be difficult to see clearly in the cave." Besides, they were about to have dinner.

Shiyi nodded excitedly: "Okay, I'll come again tomorrow."

After seeing Shiyi off, Tu Ling began to prepare dinner. She had been making random soups these past few days and didn't feel like eating anymore.

"Drag this pig away, dig out its entrails and clean them."

When Zi Ye heard that he could do other work, he immediately threw away the bamboo basket in his hand, grabbed the wild boar's legs and swung it behind him, then carried it steadily on his shoulders and walked down the mountain.

Tu Ling followed him with the bamboo basket she had woven earlier. A whole pig has many edible parts, and she was afraid that Zi Ye would throw away some that shouldn't be thrown away, wasting food.

Previously, these meat poultry were processed directly in the stream at the foot of the mountain. The water was always flowing and would carry away the dirt.

But Tu Ling still had to take a shower and wash up here, which made her feel uncomfortable, so she asked them to go somewhere a little further away.

Zi Ye skillfully cut open the boar's belly with his knife. As the abdominal cavity opened, fat, blood, and water all gushed out, smelling extremely unpleasant. He reached in, pulled out the internal organs, and tossed them aside. The hollowed-out boar was then placed in the stream to be rinsed.

Tu Ling walked over to the pile of internal organs and pinched her nose: "We'll pull out the intestines and wash them later. We can also eat the liver."

Zi Ye was rubbing the pig's internal cavity with his hands over and over again. Hearing this, he was speechless: "Madam, the wild boar's intestines are full of feces. We usually don't eat them." If it weren't for the ice season or other situations where food could not be found, who would be willing to eat something full of feces.

"Just wash when I tell you to. Stop talking so much nonsense."

Zi Ye wanted to say something but was stopped by Tu Ling's look. He could only accept his fate and wash the pork and put it aside, then pull out the liver and intestines and put them in water to wash.

"Put it in the basket after washing so you can take it back." Tu Ling pointed to the bamboo basket she was holding, and then she returned to the cave.

As soon as Tu Ling entered the cave, Fu Xiang came to greet her: "My basket is ready!"

The bamboo basket is basically finished, and only the finishing work is left. Tu Ling bends and twists it with her fingers, and a complete bamboo basket is completed. Although it is not very beautiful, it is sufficient for use.

Tu Ling bent down, keeping her eyes level with Fu Xiang, who was only at her waist. She reached out and pinched the fair and tender little face: "Our Fu Xiang is really great!"

Fu Xiang pouted and said disdainfully, "That's nothing."

Although his attitude was extremely arrogant, he still stood there obediently and let Tu Ling pinch his face.

"Call me mother." Tu Ling looked at the arrogant white tiger cub, her maternal love overflowing. If she could hear the cub call her mother, her life would be complete.

Fu Xiang's upturned mouth corners lowered, he bit his lip and looked at Tu Ling, tears gradually flashed in his eyes.

"Hmph, I won't scream." Fu Xiang pushed Tu Ling's hand away, touched his face, turned around and walked away.

Tu Ling squatted helplessly next to Bai Qi: "Why doesn't the little brat call me mother? I sold Yin Ji, not him, why is he angry with me?"

Bai Qi and Yin Hen paused, and Bai Qi whispered, "After all, Fu Xiang lost his father when he was so young." He didn't dare to say anything further. Even if Fu Xiang's father died because of the female master, Fu Xiang couldn't hold a grudge for it.

"His father..." Tu Ling wanted to continue asking, but if she continued asking, she might be exposed. However, she was very curious and guessed that Fu Xiang's death should be related to the original owner.

"Tell me more about Fuxiang's father. I wasn't thinking clearly back then."
