Chapter 3 Catching Fish

"Thank you, thank you for the compliment, Mistress."

Several men came back one after another, and the meat was washed clean. Zi Ye handed the meat over and asked, "Can we eat it now?"

Tu Ling took the meat and asked, "What are you eating?"

The only response she received was the rumbling of a few people's stomachs.

Yes, starvation is a tradition of the Tuling camp. Those who have practiced well can starve for 5 days, such as Bai Qi. Those who are not so good can also starve for 3 days.

Tu Ling retrieved the barbecue grill from her space. She wasn't afraid of their betrayal at all, because this was a world where women's rights were absolutely paramount. If she died, none of them would survive.

Tu Ling took the grill outside the cave entrance. There was an open-air platform of about 20 square meters at the entrance. She planned to grill the meat there. If she grilled it inside the cave, she didn't know how choked it would be.

He put the dry branches under the grill, rubbed them between his thumb and index finger, and produced a spark to ignite the branches. Then he used a sharp blade to cut the large piece of meat into small pieces and slowly roasted them on the grill.

Several men watched in shock as Tu Ling conjured something they had never seen before, and then snapped his fingers and a red ball appeared!

The fragrance slowly filled the air, and the oil on the meat sizzled, but unfortunately there was no plate to put it on. Tu Ling set his eyes on the big leaf at the foot of the mountain.

"Bai Qi, go down there and pull up some leaves. Big, intact ones."

Bai Qi nodded blankly, hurriedly went down to pluck the leaves, and came back in the blink of an eye.

Tu Ling placed the roasted meat on the leaves and called Yin Hen over: "Eat."

Yinhen let Fuxiang eat it.

"You ate first when I told you to. Don't you know that in the camp you must absolutely obey the orders of the female master?"

The corners of their mouths twitched. If it were any other camp, would they still need to be so suspicious? It was really that Tu Ling was too unreliable and hardly made any correct decisions.

Yinhen pursed his lips, picked up the leaf filled with meat on the ground in his hand, and bent down to pick up the meat.

The moment the barbecue entered his mouth, his lifeless eyes, which had been dull because of the loss of his cub, lit up.

This is so delicious. He has never eaten anything so delicious. He wishes Yinji could have it too.

While Tu Ling was not paying attention, he hid a few pieces of barbecued meat in his animal skin skirt.

But Tu Ling saw it all. How could she bear stuffing it into her skirt when it was so hot?

When Yinhen had almost finished eating, Tu Ling cut the remaining meat into pieces and placed it on the leaves.

"When we're done eating, you can continue grilling."

Barbecue tastes better when it’s grilled by someone else.

Yinhen came over and imitated Tu Ling, putting firewood into the grill and turning the meat over.

From time to time, I would be frightened by the fire, which was hotter than the sun.

Sunburn is a season in the Beast World. During this season, the temperature is extremely high, plants wither, and water sources dry up. Only the Mermaid Sea on the edge of the Orc Island remains dry, but the water there is undrinkable; it is salty and makes one thirstier. Only by exchanging with the mermaids living there can one obtain a little fresh water.

In addition, there are four seasons in a cycle: Spiritual Season, Rainy Season, Violent Beast Season, and Ice Season. Now is the most comfortable Spiritual Season.

Tu Ling was guiding them and trying to train them to become chefs. After all, she couldn't be the only one who could do the cooking.

Five people can't eat enough of a large piece of meat.

"Can't you bring back some more meat?"

Zi Ye sneered: "If it weren't for you, the amount of meat we brought back wouldn't be so small."

"What's the meaning?"

Bai Qi explained to Tu Ling, but Yin Hen and Zi Ye thought that Bai Qi was being unnecessary. What would happen if they told her? Would she go and cause trouble for those beasts? They should be thankful that they didn't beat them up again.

But Bai Qi didn't think so. He felt that the female master seemed to have changed. She exuded the same radiance that made people submit, just like other females.

Tu Ling licked the roof of her mouth with the tip of her tongue, her expression expressionless. Those familiar with her knew she was angry, because everyone in the apocalypse knew the base leader was extremely protective of his subordinates. It might be satisfying to piss her off, but to piss off one of her men or her subordinates would be a fate worse than death.

Yinhen Ziye saw that she looked as if it was none of his business and thought to himself, as expected.

"Let's go find something to eat. I'll go with you."

After saying this, he walked down the mountain without caring about the expressions of the people behind him.

The Spiritual Season is the most comfortable season in the Beast World's cycle. The temperature is just right, everything grows, and everything is full of vitality. The survival rate of cubs born during the Spiritual Season is also the highest.

As soon as I arrived at the foot of the mountain, I saw monkeys running around in the woods and fish swimming freely and happily in the stream. The water was very clear and I could clearly see the scenery in the water. The bottom of the water was covered with stones that had been smoothed by the water flow. A few water plants stubbornly emerged from the stones and swayed in the water.

Tu Ling walked closer to the water's edge, thinking that he would just make do with the fish for today's meal.

She turned around and hooked her finger at Zi Ye: "Catch some fish, we'll have fish soup today."

"Fish? What is it?"

Tu Ling understood the cultural differences and pointed to the creature in the water and said, "This is called a fish."

But Zi Ye was unwilling to go down and fish it out, because a male from a camp had caught it before and fed it to a female, and the female almost died. The females in the tribe said that there was dirt in this thing's body and it would be easy to die if eaten.

Tu Ling was a little unhappy, as she had agreed to obey absolutely.

She walked up to Zi Ye, hooked her arms around his neck, and whispered in his ear, "Zi Ye, my patience is limited. This is not the first time you have disobeyed me. Next time, I will kick you out."

Males who are kicked out of a camp cannot stay in the tribe, let alone join other camps.
