Ability failure

Lance was still searching for Tu Ling among the mermaids, but he still couldn't find her. Unexpectedly, when he looked up, he saw a red merman floating in front of the mermaid, trying to touch him gently. However, the one he touched was none other than the most cruel and bloody mermaid in the sea: "Be careful!"

Tu Ling was frightened by Lance. When she came to her senses and looked at the mermaid, the mermaid's eyes were already open.

The moment he opened his eyes, Tu Ling noticed that the irises of the mermaid's eyes were a clear ice blue, but turned grayish white the moment they came into contact with the light. His vision seemed to be out of focus, but it did not affect his appearance. Instead, he seemed even more mysterious. It was just that the air pressure around him became very low.

Realizing that something was wrong with the merman, Tu Ling wanted to leave, but the merman grabbed her wrist and said, "You are a merman."

After a hundred years, he finally saw his own people. He felt his heart beating violently in his chest, yet he felt suffocated. "But you betrayed us."

"Siren! Let Tu Ling go! Don't touch her!" Lance swam hard towards Tu Ling, wanting to save her. As soon as he got close, the mermaid casually swung her tail and knocked her away, smashing into the stone wall and fainting.

The mermaid didn't even look at Lance, but just sensed that the mermaids below were waking up. If he didn't leave, he might be besieged, so he pulled Tu Ling and swam outside.

Tu Ling definitely didn't want to leave, her crystal was still there, so she shot a fireball at the mermaid and hit him hard.

But the fireball didn't cause any harm to him. The mermaid didn't take the fireball seriously. He brushed off the black dust on his body like brushing off dust, then looked at Tu Ling, feeling a little puzzled, and continued to swim forward.

what the fuck?

Tu Ling was full of questions. She looked at her palm in disbelief. The fireball just now was thrown by a level five psychic. How could he be unharmed?

The stone walls on both sides flew past quickly behind them. Seeing that they were about to exit the cave, Tu Ling continued to attack unwillingly. The space blades and the karmic fire meteors were obviously powerful when they were released, but they became weak when they reached the mermaid. They could not cause any harm to him and she was despised by the mermaid.

Tu Ling forced herself to calm down. It must be because her supernatural powers had just been restored, or there was something strange about this mermaid.

His superpowers were useless to him now, and she wasn't as strong as him, so she couldn't beat him at all. She could only wait and see.

Two mermaids, one red and one black, jumped out of the cave and swam towards an unknown place.

"Where are you taking me?" Tu Ling felt anxious as she watched Wang Guoyuan getting farther and farther away.

"Take you where you should go."

The siren's voice was careless, ambiguous, and lingering. Tu Ling felt her eardrums tingle, and a current ran through her cerebral cortex. Reflexively, she raised her hand to rub her ears. Was this mermaid trying to seduce her with her voice? What kind of serious man would have a tail sound when speaking?

After being dragged by the mermaid to swim in the sea for a long time, Tu Ling felt a little bored: "What's your name?" Tu Ling felt that a person's name can effectively improve his appearance. This mermaid is so good-looking, so his name must be more pleasant to hear.

When the merman heard Tu Ling asking for his name, he was confused for a moment. The mermaid just called her Tu Ling, so Tu Ling should be her name. But when asked for his name, he thought for a moment that his people had called him Wang since he was born: "Wang."

Wang? : "I meant your name, not your position!"

"Yes, the king. They all call me the king." The mermaid answered without turning her head.

"Mermaids still call you Siren." Tu Ling complained: "Then you have two names?"

"Yeah, whatever." The mermaid really didn't care about it.

Tu Ling was helpless: "What are you going to do after you take me back?"

The merman finally turned around to look at her, even though he couldn't see clearly. "Of course it's to punish you. You betrayed your tribe."

...Tu Ling was now torn between telling him that she wasn't actually a mermaid, but had become one after taking the pearl. However, she was now completely defenseless, and if she angered the mermaid and she decided to kill him, it would be troublesome. So she decided to keep it a secret until her powers returned.

The mermaid took Tu Ling through a field of seaweed. There was a small cave hidden in the dense seaweed, and the two swam in.

Due to the dense seaweed at the entrance, there are no other holes in this small cave except the one mentioned above, which means there is no light in the cave. A normal person would probably not be able to see his hand in front of him, but mermaids are born to live in darkness. In this environment, their vision will return to normal. Once there is light, their eyes will lose focus and they can't even see their own noses.

Tu Ling narrowed her eyes and carefully surveyed the cave. This cave was smaller than the one she had seen on land, probably only about 30 or 40 square meters. It wasn't very hospitable for creatures like them whose tails alone were four or five meters long. Tu Ling felt particularly depressed: "Don't you think it's crowded to live here?"

"It's not crowded. Only here can you avoid being killed." The mermaid answered casually, then turned and looked at Tu Ling. His silver-gray eyes returned to normal, and his ice-blue pupils flashed.

The darkness twisted and turned into semi-solid black water in the silent nightmare, surrounding Tu Ling and lifting her into the air. Tu Ling did not move. She could feel that the black water posed no threat to her, so she let it go. However, when she saw the movements behind her, her face instantly turned dark.

The black water split into two streams, binding Tu Ling's left and right hands respectively, and then hanging Tu Ling in the air in a restrained posture. Tu Ling's tail could touch the ground, and the upper body was supported by the black water, so her wrists did not feel it, but the posture of having both arms hanging in this way reminded her of some not-so-pleasant memories.

Her face darkened. "What do you mean?"

The merman's eyelids drooped slightly, and he sat down on the ground next to Tu Ling in a somewhat decadent manner: "This is the punishment for your betrayal of the tribe."

After saying this, he stopped talking, leaned against the stone, stared into the void with his eyes open.

Flames condensed in Tu Ling's hands. His supernatural powers were useless against this mermaid, but could they be useless against this black water too? He would know if he tried it.

The mermaid was in a daze when the cave suddenly lit up. His dazed expression changed slightly. This was the first time he had seen light, but he didn't become blind or lose his supernatural powers. He slowly turned his head to look at Tu Ling. The red flames cast a spot of light in his eyes: "What is this?"

Just now on the road, Tu Ling hit him with this, but he didn't seem to feel anything, instead he felt a little comfortable.

Tu Ling sneered: "This is fire, it's designed to burn you, the black-hearted mermaid!" He actually dared to play the bondage game with her, he was simply courting death!
