Ding Weiwei noticed that her father-in-law and mother-in-law were not around, and she remembered that her mother had asked her for money.
She asked Lu Chengyi, "Do you still have 100,000 yuan on hand?"
Lu Chengyi kicked her away, not caring that his wife had just come from the hospital.

Xu Lihua roared and summoned all the servants in the house.
All the servants stood in front of her, and they all said that they hadn't taken the bracelet; they couldn't possibly have touched the mistress's things.
"Could my bracelet possibly grow legs and fly away on its own?"
In a fit of rage, Xu Lihua slammed the empty box in her hand onto the ground.
"Bang!"
The box was shattered into pieces.
"This box was originally full of diamonds, gold, and jade. How come there are only a few pieces left now?"
The servants looked at each other, seemingly troubled, and all shook their heads, not knowing what had happened.
"Fine, so you're all denying it? Then I'll just call the police!"
Xu Lihua angrily took out her phone, just about to call the police, when she saw Ding Weiwei returning from outside carrying large and small bags.
"Ding Weiwei, come here right now! Who gave you so much money to buy all these things? Did you steal my jewelry and sell it for money?"
Ding Weiwei's eyes darted around; she had already foreseen this consequence the day she stole the jewelry.
She wasn't nervous at all. As long as she didn't admit it, what evidence could she possibly have to prove that she took the things from the box?
"Mom, I didn't take your jewelry. Don't talk nonsense here. If you're really worried, go call the police!"
Ding Weiwei's calm and composed demeanor certainly doesn't seem like someone who has stolen the bracelet.
Xu Lihua looked at her with suspicion, then glanced at the shopping bag she was carrying.
"What's going on here? Where did you get the money?"
"Didn't I participate in a variety show in Haicheng with Cheng Yi before? The production team paid me 2 million yuan. Can't I treat myself?"
Xu Lihua gave a cold laugh.
"Didn't I tell you that your salary and acting fees all belong to me?!"
"If it weren't for the reputation of the Lu family, do you think anyone would watch a variety show featuring a fisherwoman like you? Do you think they have nothing better to do?" Xu Lihua sneered. "What are you standing there for? Give me the money now!"
Ding Weiwei gritted her teeth and reluctantly transferred 1.8 million yuan.
"What about the remaining 200,000?"
Xu Lihua has been having bad luck with cards lately, and she always loses when playing cards with those wealthy ladies.
She didn't have much money, so she was hoping to squeeze some out of her daughter-in-law, Ding Weiwei.
Ding Weiwei's eyes were deep and serious. "I've already spent it all, there's nothing I can do if you want it back."
