Lu Jianshen's expression froze, and he stopped picking up food with his chopsticks.
"How do you know about this? Did Shen Qingxu tell you about it?"
"He's not as boring as you!"
Tang Li made an excuse, "I was chatting with Zhenzhen just now and unintentionally brought this up. She didn't mean to tell on you. It just so happens that you and Chen Lei also mentioned it!"
Lu Jianshen lowered his eyes slightly.
It's clear that he doesn't like Tang Li meddling in Shen Qingxu's affairs!
However, Tang Li could not tolerate Lu Jianshen constantly provoking her.
"Lu Jianshen, you clearly don't need that piece of land in Blue Ocean, so why can't you do me a favor?"
The man smiled, but it was clear he wasn't happy. "In your opinion, I'm deliberately making things difficult for Shen Qingxu, isn't that right?"
"Isn't that the case? You didn't even have a detailed plan, and you rashly bought that piece of land, just because you, President Lu, are rich, powerful, and influential?"
"Tang Li, what exactly is your relationship with Shen Qingxu? Why are you questioning me because of him?"
Lu Jianshen's brows and eyes flashed with displeasure.
If Tang Li truly cared about his feelings, she should have stopped at this point and not continued talking.
But Tang Li continued talking because other men were criticizing her husband.
"I'm doing this for Zhenzhen! Zhenzhen is my best friend, and I won't allow you to hurt her boyfriend!"
Lu Jianshen chuckled lightly, showing his displeasure at her words.
He frowned, stood up, and said, "Fine, since you say you're doing this for your best friend's sake, then I might as well make another promise!"
"As long as Shen Qingxu marries Yan Zhenzhen, I can give them the Blue Ocean land as a wedding gift, free of charge!"
I couldn't even eat the New Year's Eve dinner.
Tang Li could tell that Lu Jianshen was doing it on purpose; he didn't believe the two of them were dating and even wanted to force them to get married!
"Lu Jianshen, why do you have to meddle in other people's business and care whether they get married or not?"
"Whether I'm influencing other people's marriages or not, you should know best!"
The man's gaze was intense, fixed on Tang Li, making Tang Li's mind go blank.
She looked up and met Lu Jianshen's eyes without flinching. She hadn't done anything wrong, so why should she feel guilty?
"In the end, you just don't believe me, right?"
Lu Jianshen spoke slowly and deliberately: "If Yan Zhenzhen and Shen Qingxu can get married, and Shen Qingxu can obtain the development rights of Blue Ocean, isn't that a win-win situation?"
"Lu Jianshen, you did this on purpose!"
Tang Li got up, threw down her chopsticks, and left.
Before leaving, she didn't forget to take her bag, which contained a New Year's gift for Zhenzhen.
"Tang Li, where are you going?"
Seeing Tang Li get up and walk to the entrance, even putting on her shoes and preparing to go out, Lu Jianshen became anxious.

Lu Jianshen gritted his teeth, so angry that he had no choice but to threaten her.
"If you dare go to Yan Zhenzhen's house, I'll buy it and make sure she doesn't even have a place to rent!"
Tang Li stood at the door, snorted coldly, and pushed the door open. "Then I'll go stay at a hotel. If you're so capable, go and acquire Hilton!"
"Bang!"
With a deafening roar, Tang Li stormed out of the house.
She called Yan Zhenzhen as soon as she stepped out the door.
Yan Zhenzhen had just finished her New Year's Eve dinner with her family and was watching the Spring Festival Gala. Her family ate their New Year's Eve dinner quite early.
But then her parents started pressuring her to get married again, nagging and repeating themselves over and over. It was so boring, she really wanted to escape!
Tang Li suggested, "Then let's go to your rented apartment?"
"Okay, but aren't you going to spend time with your husband tonight?" Yan Zhenzhen found it strange.
Logically speaking, today is a day for family reunion, and even she endured the pressure from her parents urging her to get married and came home.
How could Tang Li possibly abandon Lu Jianshen alone?
"Don't even mention it! Just thinking about him makes me so angry!"
Tang Li didn't know where to begin, so she bought some snacks, treats, and drinks at the convenience store downstairs and took them to Yan Zhenzhen's rented apartment.
After Yan Zhenzhen started working at the Tang Group, their small house, which had two bedrooms and a living room, was quite far from the company.
It wasn't convenient for her to live at home, so she rented a studio apartment to live in temporarily.
Twenty minutes later, the two best friends met up at the small apartment.
"Happy New Year!"
Yan Zhenzhen's eyes widened when she saw Tang Li pull a gold bar out of his bag.
"What do you mean by this? Are you trying to keep me as a sugar daddy?"
"The gender seems wrong too. A New Year's gift, only 50g! My sister is really generous!"
Yan Zhenzhen smiled awkwardly; compared to this, the New Year's gift she had prepared seemed particularly inadequate.
"I brought you... meat buns made by my mom, they're still warm!"
As Yan Zhenzhen spoke, she quickly pulled out four large meat buns from her canvas bag.
"This is delicious!"
The two chatted and laughed as they went upstairs together.
Yan Zhenzhen doesn't plan to accept the gold bars; they're too valuable, and it's not appropriate for her.
I appreciate your kind gesture, but I'll return the gift to you now!
Tang Li quickly stuffed the gold bar back, "No, this is your year-end bonus!"
Year-end bonus?
Please, she's only been with the company for a little over a month, how can she possibly get a year-end bonus?
"Isn't this considered using public office for private gain?"
"What's the big deal? You've helped me so much this past year. One minute you're pretending to be dating Shen Qingxu, the next you're pretending to be a mother who's had a baby. It's tough. Have you forgotten what we agreed on back then?"
