Tang Li gritted her teeth, feeling Lu Jianshen's malice.
"Then I'll be moving all night, and you won't get a good night's sleep either!"
Tang Li forced a smile that didn't quite come across, and began packing in the dressing room, huffing and puffing.
Lu Jianshen curled his lips into a smile.
"Have you forgotten what I just said? This is my rest time. You are not allowed to make any noise or disturb me!"
Tang Li happened to be holding a new bag, and in a fit of rage, she threw it at Lu Jianshen.
"How can you be like this..."
"hiss……"
Lu Jianshen gasped in pain and clutched his forehead.
Tang Liqing could clearly see a winding, bright red bloodstain slowly spreading across his fair and cold face.
Tang Li was stunned.
"sorry!"
She was just angry for a moment and didn't expect that the metal rivets on her bag would hurt Lu Jianshen so badly.
"I……"
Tang Li was so anxious that she didn't know what to do. She wanted Lu Jianshen to put his hand down so she could take a look at the wound.
Lu Jianshen covered his head, looking as if he was in great pain.
Tang Li hurriedly dialed the hospital's number.
"I'll take you to the hospital first. Does your head hurt a lot?"
Lu Jianshen frowned, looking quite uncomfortable, and didn't answer.
"Tang Li!"
"Okay, stop talking now. I'll take you to the hospital first."
Tang Li quickly helped him put on a coat and then helped him downstairs.
The two went to the villa entrance, quickly hailed a taxi, and rushed to the hospital that very night.
At the hospital.
Tang Li was about to accompany Lu Jianshen into the doctor's office when she heard her phone vibrate.
"Wait a minute, I need to take this call!"
Seeing that it was Shen Qingxu calling, Tang Li assumed that A Lu had something to say, so she went to the side to answer the call and left the doctor's office.
"Why didn't you come home so late? Did you leave Ah Lu home alone?"
Tang Li glanced in the direction of the doctor's office. "I can't come back for now. I accidentally injured Lu Jianshen."
"What did you say?" Shen Qingxu asked, her face full of surprise. "You injured someone? Was it serious? Did you hit them with a brick?"
How could I possibly use a brick? Using a brick would mean certain death!
"I didn't see a wound, but it seemed like there was a lot of blood, and the rivets on the bag were very sturdy..."
Tang Li's mind was in turmoil, and she felt like she had made a huge mistake.
The injury was to the forehead; if it resulted in a concussion or something, the perpetrator would be truly guilty and could face immeasurable consequences.
It's all Lu Jianshen's fault for being so foul-mouthed!
"Are you sure you accidentally hit him with your own studded bag, and that it was so serious?"
Tang Li sighed, "Mm."
Shen Qingxu immediately realized that things weren't so serious.
"It's just a handbag, it's nothing serious!"
Tang Li felt uneasy; Lu Jianshen didn't seem to be doing well.
"Could you take care of Ah Lu for me for a while?"
Shen Qingxu chuckled and stood up from the children's toy mat. "You two are already divorced, why are you still entangled with each other?"
"It was an accident. I'll go back as soon as I'm sure he's alright."
"Alright, but be careful not to get scammed!" Shen Qingxu shook his head.
The implication in those words was quite strong; Tang Li should have been able to understand it.
After hanging up the phone, Tang Li immediately went into the doctor's office and saw that Lu Jianshen had a large bandage on his head.
"Has the doctor finished the examination? Is his condition serious?"
The doctor pursed his lips, glanced at Tang Li, then at Lu Jianshen, "It's alright, but there was too much bleeding, and the wound is a bit... big. I just had to stitch it up twice!"
When Tang Li heard that the patient needed stitches, she became even more worried.
"Should we get a brain CT scan? To check if there's a concussion or anything?" Tang Li asked tentatively.
The doctor shook his head.
"No need for that. I've already checked, and there's nothing else wrong. Your husband should rest more after he gets home. He shouldn't overwork himself or stay up late, as that can damage his head and cause headaches and dizziness, which are all normal."
Tang Li nodded and carefully wrote it down.
Ten minutes later, after getting the medicine, she helped Lu Jianshen leave the hospital.
Do you have any other adverse reactions right now? Such as headache, blurred vision, or dizziness?
Lu Jianshen shook his head, but then raised his hand and pressed his temple, looking uncomfortable.
"I'll take you home first."
Lu Jianshen nodded, his face feigning seriousness and coldness, which didn't look too good.
After returning to the Lu family villa, Tang Li realized that all the servants in the house had suddenly disappeared.
"Where is the housekeeper who used to clean, cook, and tidy the garden?"
Lu Jianshen said calmly, "I gave them a year-end holiday. They just left yesterday. Anyway, I'm the only one at home, so I don't need that many people."
Tang Li was worried about him, seeing his current state.
"Shall I go and hire a caregiver for you?"
As she was speaking, just as she was about to contact the housekeeping company, Lu Jianshen reached out and took her phone.
"No need, I'd rather be at home alone."
Tang Li was a little worried. "You don't even have anyone to cook for you now, and you can't overwork yourself. It will damage your brain. What if you become an idiot?"
Lu Jianshen looked up at her without saying a word, but the meaning in his eyes was clear: whoever injured him must take responsibility.
This person is clearly Tang Li!
