Chapter 19: Is this my home or yours? Did I spend your money?

When she returned home, it was still early, so Su Liuer took a basket and went to the mountain to pick magic herbs.

Zhu Hongan and Wang Po were in the room. Wang Po was doing needlework. She was a very famous embroiderer when she was young. She had made clothes for many young ladies from official families and even had a chance encounter with the eldest princess of the dynasty. This was a big reason why she had this chastity arch.

If she had no way of knowing powerful people, who would pay attention to an old widow in a small mountain village? Even if she remained a widow until her death, no one would erect a memorial arch for her.

Similarly, this is the fundamental reason why the villagers are wary of Wang Pozi. She is different from the villagers. She has seen the world. Who knows if she will use the methods of the big shots to deal with others? Don't provoke her if you can avoid it!

But because she damaged her eyesight from working to make a living when she was young, Wang Po now finds it very difficult to do needlework and can only do it during the day. Fortunately, she is famous and can still earn a lot of money from this.

"Mom!" Suddenly, a clear cry came from far away outside the yard.

Mrs. Wang paused, frowned, and said to Zhu Hongan beside her, "Anzi, go to the foot of the mountain and wait for your mother. She should be back soon."

Zhu Hongan ran out of the back door obediently, and the people from the front yard rushed in.

"Mom! Why do you just let someone live in your house? And you even spend money on them?!" The clear voice sounded a little sharp because of the excitement.

Mrs. Wang raised her eyes and looked at the visitor calmly, asking, "Is this my home or yours? Did I spend your money?"

Wang Fangfang was so angry that her eyes widened!

"I am your only daughter! This is your home and also my mother's home. You didn't spend my money, but your money is mine, isn't it?!

Wang Fangfang paused and changed her tone, "Your money didn't come from the wind, so of course you have to keep it for yourself! How can we justify spending money on those two people who are not even related to us?"

After Wang Po got married, she had a son and a daughter. When she insisted on leaving her husband's family, she could only take her daughter with her. The mother and daughter have depended on each other for so many years, but the daughter's temperament is hard to describe.

"It's my money, I can spend it however I want. Don't worry about it. If you came back for this matter, then there's no need to talk about it anymore." Mrs. Wang didn't want to argue with her daughter. She was a person who was unreasonable and there was no point in saying more.

Wang Fangfang was furious. Ever since she got married, her mother had been treating her worse and worse! Could it be that a daughter who was married off was like spilled water?

But thinking of her husband's repeated reminders when she came here, she forced herself to suppress her temper. Instead, she put on a smile and walked over to sit next to Wang Pozi, took her arm and said coquettishly, "I missed mother and came back to see you. I just happened to hear some gossip in the village. In fact, as long as mother is happy to take in two people, it's nothing."

After all, she was a piece of flesh that fell from her body. Seeing Wang Fangfang being so submissive and acting coquettishly, Mrs. Wang couldn't help but give her a way out.

Then he said, "They and their son share the same suffering as us. Don't listen to the nonsense people outside say. Liu'er is a good girl."

Wang Fangfang spitted inwardly. What the Zhu family's sister-in-law said was right. Her mother had really been bewitched by Su Liu'er! How could such a shameless girl be so shameless as to live in someone else's house and spend their money? What a vixen who bewitched men and women!

Wang Fangfang smiled even sweeter, looking around and saying, "Why aren't they here? I should get to know them. I'll have to ask Sister Liu'er to take good care of them in the future."

"I'm going to work on the mountain. I'm going to prepare dinner. You can come back after dinner."

"Then I'll help you. My cooking skills have improved. My husband even praised me."

The mother and daughter walked into the kitchen happily. The smile on Wang Fangfang's face gradually disappeared when she saw the large piece of fat and lean meat.

Such a big piece of good meat would cost at least thirty cents!
