"I won't take up too much of your time. Just a few words and I'll leave. But it's not good to say this in front of everyone. Madam Su, if you're worried, bring the shop assistants in and talk to them together." The farmer pointed to Ying Li standing beside him.
That's quite thoughtful. It seems like he really has something important to say.
But, since it is a serious matter, why can't it be known to others?
There must be something fishy going on.
Su Liuer responded, "Take good care of the shop. I'll go talk to him."
Ying Li nodded, and Su Liuer took the man out of the shop.
The two men came to the alley next to the shop. People outside could see what was happening in the alley, but they couldn't hear their conversation unless they got close.
"Go ahead." Su Liuer said.
The farmer took out a cloth bag from his arms and opened it. Inside were two small bowls interlocked with each other. When the bowls were opened, the contents were revealed.
Su Liuer showed a look of understanding and immediately understood the man's intention.
