Chapter 559: Can it be cheaper?

Qin Rongrong's maid nodded subconsciously after hearing the first half of the sentence. When they went out, the master did remind her to take good care of the young lady.

But before he even raised his head, Gulan Yue said the second half of the sentence.

The maid was so frightened when she saw Qin Rongrong's murderous look that she immediately fell to her knees.

"Miss, Miss, I was wrong. I didn't mean to nod!" The maid explained tremblingly.

Su Liuer looked at the maid with sympathy. This maid looked like Qin Rongrong, neither of them was very smart.

Qin Rongrong was angry and raised her hand to slap the maid.

"Qin Rongrong." Gu Lanyue suddenly called out.

Qin Rongrong was stunned by the sudden attention, and subconsciously stopped what she was doing, raised one hand high, and then turned to look at Gu Lanyue.

Gu Lanyue sneered and said disdainfully, "Your father, the Censor, taught you to abuse a maid? He's truly a good official who loves his people like his own children. They say like father, like daughter. You must have learned this from your father."

The person Qin Rongrong is most proud of is her father, and the person she fears most is also her father.

She knew how much her father valued his official position and career prospects. How could she let Gu Lanyue throw such dirty water on her father with just a few words?

"Which eye did you see me abusing the maid? You even said I heard it from others. I think you are the one lying with your eyes open! I don't know if it was with your father." The words stopped abruptly because Qin Rongrong's maid reached out and pulled her sleeve, reminding her.

Although the Censor was nominally an official sent by the emperor to supervise local inspections, in reality his power and status were not as great as those of a prefect. As the daughter of the Censor, Qin Rongrong could not brazenly fabricate stories about Gu Lanyue's father.

"Did you learn it from my father?" Gu Lanyue helped to answer Qin Rongrong's question.

Qin Rongrong immediately denied it: "I didn't say that!"

Gu Lanyue nodded. At this time, a waiter came over and she waved to him to come forward.

The teahouse's compartments were all connected to colorful ropes with bells representing different compartments. Customers could simply pull them to call someone over. The waiter saw Qin Rongrong from a distance, but he couldn't ignore Gu Lanyue's face, so he had to bite the bullet and stand by.

But since Gulan Yue asked him to come forward, he couldn't continue to pretend to be dead, so he could only put on a smile and move forward.

"Miss Gu, what are your instructions?"

Gu Lanyue asked, "How much does the Southern Xinjiang Dance cost per session?"

The waiter's eyes lit up when he heard this. This was the most expensive item in the restaurant at the moment, and he immediately smiled even more and replied:

"Ten taels of silver."

Gu Lanyue nodded calmly, then looked at Su Liuer, wanting to ask her opinion on whether to order it.

Su Liuer deliberately frowned and said, "Wow, ten taels of silver is a lot of money. It's too much! Can you make it cheaper?"

She looked troubled and embarrassed, as if she was worried about the money.

Gu Lanyue blinked twice and suddenly understood Su Liuer's intention.

He nodded in agreement and said, "Yes, I've ordered many programs before, but none of them are this expensive, and this program isn't that long either."

The waiter felt strange. Miss Gu was obviously a very generous person. She had never been so worried about spending ten taels of silver in this teahouse before. Why was she suddenly so calculative?

However, he still smiled and said, "Miss Gu, we never bargain here, please understand."

Gu Lanyue nodded regretfully and was about to speak when Qin Rongrong took the bait.
