The next day, Gu Yanze was released.
The heavy rain was like a waterfall, and the howling wind blew up wisps of white mist. The old man of the Gu family, Gu Nanchu, came to the police station in person to pick up Gu Yanze.
The gray-haired old man stood in the heavy rain, leaning on a rosewood cane with both hands, as dark as an oil painting.
An attendant in a black suit stood by and held an umbrella for the old man. The raindrops as big as beans hit the umbrella with a bang.
The moment Gu Yanze walked out of the police station, Old Man Gu's powerful voice echoed through the rain: "Kneel down!"
Gu Yanze knelt in the heavy rain, his hands on his thighs, his shoulders square and his back straight. Even though the heavy rain soaked his clothes and hair, he still maintained the elegance of a nobleman.
Gu Nanchu slapped him in the face, and his face was hit to one side. Blood mixed with rain water flowed from the corner of his mouth.
"Do you know where you went wrong?"
Gu Yanze said nothing.
Pah! Gu Nanchu slapped him in the face again!
