Su Qinghu arrived in the capital on September 19th. When he came down, he felt dizzy and his feet were really floating.
She bought her train ticket on the 16th, but since there were no sleeper tickets, she had to buy a seat ticket first. The first thing she did after getting on the train was to greet the conductor and ask her to notify her if there were any sleeper berths.
Later I changed to a sleeper ticket, but due to some weather reasons, the train was delayed by nearly five or six hours.
The train kept shaking until it finally arrived in the capital. She almost vomited from the shaking.
If possible, she would never take the train in the summer again. If possible, even if the procedures were complicated, even if her employer wouldn't reimburse her and she had to pay out of pocket, she would still take a plane!
With the help of a young man, Su Qinghu walked out of the train station with his feet floating.
The square was full of people. After Su Qinghu thanked the man, he sat down and rested for a long time. He also paid for a child to buy him a bottle of ice soda. After drinking it, he felt better.
The kid next to her ran some errands and got a bottle of soda. He sat next to Su Qinghu and drank it, looking at her eagerly, wanting to help in some other way so that he could get something in return.
Su Qinghu looked at him, then at the soda bottle in his hand, smiled, and gave him the bottle. "Give the bottle back, and I'll give you fifty cents when you come back."
The boy cheered and ran away. Then he came back and looked at Su Qinghu with a grin.
Su Qinghu kept his word and really gave fifty cents.
"Sister, is there anything you can help me with?" The boy lived near the train station. He usually just hung out here when he had nothing to do. It was his first time meeting someone like Su Qinghu, and he was very excited.
Su Qinghu: "Can you call a car for me?"
"Okay!" The child answered loudly, turned around and ran away, thinking that the sister would give him a few cents as a fee for running errands later.
About ten minutes later, the child finally called the car over, and after getting another fifty cents, he happily walked away.
After getting the suitcases into the car and Su Qinghu sat down, the driver finally had time to chat with her, "Are you going back to the capital? Or are you here on a business trip?"
"Back." Su Qinghu said one word, then stopped talking and paused for a moment before saying, "Master, please leave me alone. I feel a little carsick."
Seems like, a bit of heat stroke?
Su Qinghu leaned against the car window, breathing hard and trying to ignore the shaking of the car. Seeing her discomfort, the driver picked up something from his hand and handed it to her, "Little girl, try the cooling oil. It will refresh your mind. Just smell it and your stomach will feel better."
"Thank you! Thank you!" Su Qinghu hurriedly took it, opened it, picked up a little bit with his fingers, wiped it on the back of his hand, and then put the back of his hand to the tip of his nose.
The cool feeling immediately made her feel much more comfortable, and her buzzing head seemed to be relieved a little.
"I tell you, if you have nothing to do, go buy some cooling oil or Fengyoujing, or some mint tablets and carry them with you." These are necessities in hot weather.
Su Qinghu nodded, feeling better, and handed the cooling oil back, "Thank you, Master."
"Do your family know that you are coming back today? Do you have keys? Do you want me to take you to your parents' house?" The driver was quite kind-hearted.
Su Qinghu: "My mother-in-law and her family are at home."
Ah, Master, can we stop chatting? Su Qinghu wanted to explain to the driver, but he had just lent her the cooling oil, and she was embarrassed to give him a cold shoulder.
So, she chose to close her eyes and rest until she got home.
The driver took her directly to the door. Looking at the locked door, the driver looked at her and asked, "Is there no one at home?"
"Just put me down." Su Qinghu took out the money and handed it to him. "Thank you."
The driver took the money and walked away with a worried look on his face. He looked back after walking two or three meters away.
Su Qinghu was a little funny, a little heartwarming, but mostly exhausted from dealing with it.
I opened the door, went into the yard, closed the door, threw my things into the living room, took a quick shower, wrapped my hair in a towel, and fell asleep without waiting for it to dry.
I slept so soundly that I was completely unconscious.
Ms. Meng returned to the compound to arrange her husband's life for the next two days, and then picked up Dadan and Erdan on the way. She greeted her in-laws and grandchildren, and then took them home.
Erdan sighed, "Grandma, didn't my mom call?"
Ms. Meng: “Yes.”
Erdan was unwilling to give in: "You didn't call them once? You didn't call them at work?"
Ms. Meng: “Yes.”
Erdan: "Alas."
Without my new mom at home, it's not fun or joyful at all...
Dadan glanced at him and wanted to ask him if he was not happy on Monday. He had to show him what being lively was all about on Monday.
"Hey, when will my mom come back?" Erdan followed Ms. Meng listlessly, "I miss her a little bit."
If he hadn't given her his passbook, he would have had very little money except for the money for his afternoon snacks. He would have wanted to secretly buy a ticket to go see her...
"It should be here soon." Ms. Meng said as she saw someone selling melons and watermelons grown by her family on the roadside. She walked over and asked, and seeing that the price was right, she bought two melons and two watermelons.
Erdan, holding two melons, continued his previous conversation with Ms. Meng, "Why do you say it should be soon? Grandma, are your business trips also this long?"
"Grandma has never been on a business trip, but if she did, her employer would give her a stipend. Usually, it wouldn't last more than two weeks." Ms. Meng glanced at Dadan, who was walking away with the watermelon in her arms, and smiled. "You all miss her, right?"
"Yeah." Erdan nodded directly and complained, "She's been away on business for too long this time."
Dadan neither nodded nor shook his head, just listened to what Ms. Meng said.
The three of them were talking as they walked. When they arrived at the door, they were stunned to see that the lock on the door was gone.
Erdan cheered, "Hahaha, it must be my mom coming back!"
Ms. Meng also laughed, took a few quick steps forward, pushed the door, and found that it was locked, so she knocked on the door.
No one answered.
Erdan hesitated and blinked, "Why don't you open the door?"
Dadan held the melon and asked, "Is my dad back?"
"It definitely isn't Dad!" Erdan turned around and said to Dadan directly and confidently, "What does Dad do? If Grandma can't hear me knocking on the door like this, he can just pack up and go home!"
"..." Dadan was silent. For some reason, he felt that his silly younger brother was not looking forward to his father coming back.
But sometimes the silly brother is not silly, and his current analysis makes a lot of sense.
Ms. Meng knocked on the door again and thought, could it be that he just came back and is taking a shower now?
"Let's wait." Ms. Meng put down her hand and looked at the sun still hanging in the sky.
About half an hour later, Ms. Meng knocked on the door again, but there was still no movement from inside.
Erdan: "Grandma, can I climb over the wall and open the door for you?"
"..." Ms. Meng was stunned, "Why didn't you say so earlier!"
If I had said it earlier, I wouldn't have had to wait until now.
