Chapter 58 You Have to Be Responsible

Chapter 58 You Have to Be Responsible

Outside the window, the wind was howling, the clouds were rolling, and the rain was pouring down. The whole city was shrouded in a continuous rain curtain. It was hazy outside the window, and only the faint lights in the residential buildings could be seen.

Lin Zixia quickly took out her cell phone and found that Lu Xiangye had sent her a WeChat message, but she didn't see it because she was in the car at the time.

She quickly replied to his message, but there was no response from the other end.

She looked out the window, feeling a little worried as the rain was getting heavier.

"Grandma Lu, has he been out for a long time?"

Grandma Lu looked up at the sky outside and said, "About ten minutes before you came back."

Lin Zixia frowned, did he miss it?

Lin Zixia made another voice call to Lu Xiangye, but still no one answered.

"How about I go to the security room at the door and ask?"

Lu Xiangye went out to pick her up. It was raining so hard, what if something happened...

Seeing that she was fidgeting, Grandma Lu said gently, "If you didn't pick up the boy, come back on your own or find a place to hide from the rain. Don't worry."

"He's grown up enough to take care of himself."

Lin Zixia bit her lip and waited for about ten minutes. Suddenly, there was a sound at the door. She hurried forward and opened the door from the inside.

Lu Xiangye was standing at the door, soaked all over. The rain flowed down his hair in front of his forehead, forming a puddle on the ground.

Lin Zixia was surprised. "How did you get into this state? Where's your umbrella?"

Lu Xiangye walked in and said nonchalantly, "I gave the umbrella to someone else."

Grandma Lu also turned around and said, "Did you take a shower in the rain? Go take a hot shower and don't catch a cold."

Lu Xiangye didn't argue and went straight to the bathroom.

Grandma Lu quickly got up and went to the kitchen to make ginger soup for him.

Lin Zixia looked at the water stains on the floor and took the mop to mop the floor.

When Lu Xiangye came out of the shower, he was only wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts. His jet-black hair was hanging in front of his forehead, and water was still dripping from the ends of his hair.

Lin Zixia took the towel beside him and threw it to him, "Why are you so soaked?"

Lu Xiangye said leisurely while wiping his hair, "I met a pair of grandparents and grandchildren, and gave them the umbrella."

Lu Xiangye knew when Lin Zixia would be back, so he waited at the security room at the door, but Lin Zixia never replied, and the rain was getting heavier.

Later, I received a message from Lin Zixia saying that she had arrived home. Before I could reply, my phone ran out of battery and turned off automatically.

There happened to be an elderly person with her grandson nearby, saying that she had another grandson at home and was very anxious. Anyway, the door was not too far from the apartment building, so he ran a few steps and came back.

After hearing Lu Xiangye's words, Lin Zixia frowned, "Even if you're doing good things, you should use your brain. Can't you just send them downstairs first and then come back with an umbrella?"

"You have to get wet in the rain? Do you think you are Yiping?"

Lu Xiangye paused, his eyebrows raised slightly, "Lin Xiaoxia, how come your teaching skills are even better than my grandma's?"

Lin Zixia moved his lips, "You went out to pick me up. If you catch a cold, won't I be responsible?"

Lu Xiangye nodded, "That's true, you have to take responsibility."

Lin Zixia: ...

As the two were talking, Grandma Lu came out with some freshly boiled ginger soup. Seeing Lu Xiangye, she frowned and said, "Why are you only wearing a short-sleeved shirt? Drink this and go back to your room to put on more clothes."

Lu Xiangye took the bowl from Grandma Lu's hand and said, "Grandma, don't you know my health? What could happen?"

Grandma Lu said with a stern face: "That won't work either. Drink this first."

Lu Xiangye: "It's too hot. Can I go back to my room and put on a coat before drinking?"

The yellow ginger water in the bowl had just been poured out of the pot and was still steaming.

Grandma Lu: "Then remember to drink it later."

Lu Xiangye nodded: "Sure."

Lu Xiangye returned to his room and came out wearing a long-sleeved shirt, which was not much better than the T-shirts he had just had.

Grandma Lu was sitting in the living room tinkering with handicrafts. Lu Xiangye picked up the bowl of ginger soup from the table, leaned in to smell it, and then took it away with a look of disgust.

He glanced at Grandma Lu's back and went straight to the kitchen with the bowl.

After entering the kitchen, Lu Xiangye turned on the faucet and started washing the dishes.

Lin Zixia: ???

She walked to the kitchen door and said, "I saw everything."

Lu Xiangye looked up at her dimly, "Want to complain?"

Lin Zixia: ...

Could you please stop saying such harsh words?

It's all for his body.

Lu Xiangye: "Unless you want grandma to worry."

Lin Zixia was speechless: "Who made Grandma Lu worried?"

Lu Xiangye: "I have a very good physique and won't catch a cold."

He simply couldn't drink the ginger soup; it was too bitter. He'd always secretly poured it out, and he'd never caught a cold.

Lin Zixia: "Whatever you want."

After saying that, she turned and left the kitchen door.

Since he didn't appreciate her kindness, she didn't bother to persuade him.

Lu Xiangye looked at her back as she left, with some confusion in his eyes. Is she angry?

Probably not.
