Chapter 90 You can't even lie, you're so stupid

Chapter 90 You can't even lie, you're so stupid

As soon as Lin Zixia reached the riverbank, he immediately returned the clothes to Lu Xiangye.

"Put it on quickly, or you'll get a fever again."

Lu Xiangye reached out to take it and snorted, "That was an accident before."

Lin Zixia nodded and followed his words, "Yes, you have very good physical fitness."

Both of them tacitly agreed not to mention what had just happened.

Lu Xiangye really took Lin Zixia with him and took him around the county.

The two walked along the streets. The shops along the street were all open, but most of them were clothing stores and snack bars. Lin Zixia said softly, "There's really nothing good to see in the county town. It can't compare to Chengdu."

Lu Xiangye looked left and right, everything he saw was new and new. "I came all the way here, you're not going to let me go back like this, are you?"

Lin Zixia pursed her lips and said, "But there's nothing fun here."

Lu Xiangye raised his eyebrows and said, "Then just take me for a walk through the streets and alleys."

Lin Zixia: "Okay then, I suddenly thought of a place."

She took Lu Xiangye to an ancient alley next to a street. Entering from a small alley, there were only wooden buildings inside.

There was a most primitive lock hanging on the door, a wooden door, and the windows were hollow, just covered with a layer of paper on the outside.

"The old buildings are still preserved here and have not been demolished and rebuilt. People still live on both sides."

Lin Zixia looked up and saw a clothesline above with freshly washed shirts hanging on it.

"I come here for a walk sometimes. It's very quiet and most of the people living here are elderly."

Whenever she was in a bad mood or feeling restless, she would come here for a walk, look at the moss at the door, the weeds and wildflowers in the cracks of the rocks, and occasionally meet a dog passing by in a hurry or a cat lying lazily in the sun.

Everything here was quiet and peaceful, as if time had slowed down. After walking around twice, she felt much calmer.

Lu Xiangye listened to her quietly, his eyes fixed on her.

The two walked along the alley. There were indeed very few people, so they basically didn't run into anyone.

There were motorcycles and tricycles parked in the alley, some of the tricycles rusted, leaving behind a glare of red rust. Some people had old stone mills and peeling mailboxes outside their homes.

Lu Xiangye walked slowly, and the two of them strolled along the alley twice. Lin Zixia then took him to the outside of her junior high school.

Lu Xiangye looked at the school gate in front of him and asked sideways, "Did you go to junior high school here?"

Lin Zixia nodded.

Lu Xiangye: "Do you want to go back and take a look?"

Lin Zixia shook his head.

Lu Xiangye glanced at the security guard at the door and the surrounding walls. "If you're worried you can't get in, I can help you climb over the wall."

Lin Zixia's mouth twitched, "You are so righteous."

After a pause, she looked back at him and said softly, "It's not that I'm afraid I can't get in, it's that I don't want to go back, and there's no need."

Lu Xiangye raised his eyebrows in surprise.

Lin Zixia smiled and said softly, "Junior high school wasn't a very pleasant experience for me, but it couldn't be said to be unpleasant either. It's just that there wasn't anything worth remembering."

"Our junior high school is very strict, and the teachers only care about grades. It seems like there's nothing else to do every day except studying."

"Although my grades have improved a lot here, I don't hate it, but I don't like it either."

Lu Xiangye raised his eyes to glance at the school gate opposite, then turned around neatly and said with disdain, "There's nothing to see in this shabby school. Let's go."

Lin Zixia followed behind him, "Didn't you just say that?"

Lu Xiangye reached out and smacked her on the head, "I was just being polite, can't you hear it?"

The two began to wander aimlessly again.

The county town is neither big nor small. Lin Zixia racked his brains but couldn't think of any place worth visiting.

When they reached a fork in the road, Lin Zixia wanted to take him to the square, but she had just taken a step when she suddenly stopped and turned around in panic.

Lu Xiangye frowned: "What's wrong?"

Lin Zixia glanced behind him again and lowered his head, "That man over there looks like my dad."

Lu Xiangye raised his eyebrows slightly and looked back. Not far away, a middle-aged man was walking towards them.

He looked at the little girl hiding in front of him, reached out to put the hat on her, and the next second, he grabbed her hand, turned the corner and ran in the other direction.

Before Lin Zixia could react, he suddenly felt a gust of wind whistling past his ears, and the whole person suddenly ran forward.

Lin Zixia followed his pace. She looked up, only able to see his profile, its distinct outlines. The cold wind blew past her face, the sound of the wind whistling in her ears. At this moment, she only had eyes for the young man who was pulling her along.

After running for an unknown distance, Lin Zixia finally stopped and bent down. "No, I can't run anymore."

Lu Xiangye held her wrist and lifted her up. "Don't lower your head. Take a few steps and slow down."

He didn't forget to scold her, "With your small body, how will you perform in the physical examination if you don't practice more?"

Lin Zixia was still a little out of breath. She raised her head and said, "It's still early."

Lu Xiangye glanced back, his eyes narrowed slightly, "Let's go to the bookstore."

Lin Zixia: “Ah?”

Lu Xiangye directly pulled the person forward and said, "Let's go to the bookstore."

Lin Zixia grabbed him and said, "The bookstore is on the other side!"

The two went to the largest reader's library in the county.

Lin Zixia followed behind him, watching him put one hand in his pocket, picking and choosing among a pile of teaching materials as if on patrol. He couldn't help but frown, "What do you want to buy?"

Lu Xiangye casually picked up a book of math exercises without even opening it, and said, "This one will do."

"Do you have any other books you'd like to buy?"

Lin Zixia shook his head, "No."

Lu Xiangye paid the money, and the two stood at the door of the bookstore in silence for a few seconds.

Lu Xiangye turned around and looked for it, then suddenly strode to the side.

In the small shop next to it, the smell of roasted sweet potatoes wafted from the oven, sweet and soft.

"Boss, I want a baked sweet potato."

When Lin Zixia caught up, Lu Xiangye had already taken the sweet potato from the boss. She just opened her mouth and said, "You like..."

The next second, the sweet potato was stuffed into his hand.

Lin Zixia was stunned, blinked, and then slowly said, "I just finished eating, I'm not hungry."

Lu Xiangye said nonchalantly, "It's to warm your hands. Let's go, I'll take you back."

Lin Zixia was a little surprised, "You're not going shopping anymore?"

Lu Xiangye lowered his eyes and glanced at her. "Didn't you say there's nothing good to see?"

Lin Zixia pursed her lips and said, "Indeed."

The two walked back along the street, rarely speaking to each other along the way.

When they reached the gate of the community, Lu Xiangye handed her the math materials in his hand and said, "Go up."

Lin Zixia: "For me?"

Lu Xiangye lowered his eyes to look at her and chuckled softly, "Didn't you say you were going to the bookstore to look for information? Are you planning to go back empty-handed?"

He rolled up the book and tapped her head gently. "You can't even lie. You're so stupid."
