Adventure Night
The hotel, bathed in the night, was as silent as a mountain.
Sang Qi lay listlessly by the French windows, gazing at the scenery.
Because we were staying in a high-rise hotel, the view from the window was expansive, overlooking the city of Kunming.
But Sang Qi had no interest in watching at that moment.
It's been so long, and Lu Min still hasn't returned. She's very worried, afraid that something might have happened.
She had been struggling with this decision for a long time, wondering whether or not to go. If she went, she was afraid she would be flustered and cause them trouble; if she didn't go, she worried about becoming anxious.
This feeling is very tormenting.
"Never mind." Sang Qi pouted and prepared to go to bed, no longer wanting to think about it.
As she sat back on the bed, her gaze unconsciously fell on the bedside table.
On the bedside table sat an exquisite black military dagger for close combat, a small and delicate crossbow, and several smoke grenades.
These two items were picked out by Sang Qi from Lao Wu's armory when she went to the bar to find him during the day. She originally intended to pick them for self-defense, but now that she saw these two items, the idea of going to Qianye Manor came to her mind again.
Sang Qi calmed himself down, thinking that he had practiced Taekwondo and knew some close-range attack and defense techniques. He had also learned to use guns and daggers in paintball and CS before, and he had even achieved a four-kill record at the Red Sea Casino.
After much deliberation, Sang Qi decided to go to Qianye Manor. Even if he couldn't truly help them, he could still create some chaos at the scene.
So Sang Qi put the dagger, crossbow, and smoke bomb into his small bag, and also brought pepper spray, a butterfly knife, and a speaker.
Finally, I changed into some clothes that were easy to move in, put on a hat and a mask, and went out.
The taxi headed towards Chiba Villa, where a large number of private cars were leaving.
Seeing this, Sang Qi felt a sense of unease.
A large number of guests at the party were evacuated; it's likely that the Chiba Villa area is already littered with guns and ammunition, and bloodshed has ensued.
Thinking of this, Sang Qi shuddered and hurriedly urged the driver to drive faster.
Urged on by Sang Qi, the driver sped off to Chiba Villa.
As soon as Sang Qi got out of the car, he saw that the guests of Qianye Villa had already left, and there were many people guarding the outside, while the inside was quiet.
Sang Qi carefully hid in the bushes not far from the Western-style building, cautiously observing the situation, not daring to make any rash moves.
In the darkness, the petite Sang Qi was not easily noticed.
A few minutes later, several loud gunshots were heard from inside the Western-style building, followed by another burst of gunfire. At this point, the gunfight inside had just begun.
The commotion inside the Western-style building was so loud that Sang Qi outside could hear it all clearly, and every gunshot shook his heart.
As she listened to the sounds coming from inside, she imagined the scene of bullets flying everywhere, blood and gore, a dangerous and terrifying sight, and her eyes involuntarily reddened.
The gunfire inside the mansion grew increasingly intense, and the sounds of gunfire grew louder and louder. Sang Qi could wait no longer; she felt she had to do something.
She calmly found a smoke grenade and set it off twice at the entrance of the mansion. The smoke grenade quickly released thick plumes of smoke.
The people guarding the perimeter were caught off guard by the sudden smoke bomb and lost their composure.
Thick smoke enveloped the area. At this moment, Sang Qi took out the stereo, turned the volume up to the maximum, and started playing music.
The audio playing was a police siren. The siren sounded incredibly realistic, sharp and piercing, making listeners shudder.
The sirens blared, and people panicked even more, shouting, "The police are here! The police are here!"
Meanwhile, taking advantage of the chaos, Sang Qi slipped into the Western-style building through the smoke. Sang Qi was very agile and quickly hid inside the first floor.
As luck would have it, the building's electrical box was right next to her. On a whim, she immediately sabotaged the box.
After a loud bang, all the lights in the building went out instantly, plunging the building into darkness.
As the lights went out, the gunfire from upstairs abruptly stopped.
Because it was pitch black all around and there were fake police sirens outside, the thugs inside panicked and lost their bearings.
Suddenly, hurried footsteps came from down the stairs. Sang Qi abruptly stood up and looked in the direction of the footsteps.
At that moment, a blinding white light shone from behind Sang Qi.
Sang Qi turned around and saw several black-clad men holding flashlights, shining cold beams of light into her face.
"Who are you? You must be the one causing trouble."
As they spoke, the group approached Sang Qi.
Sang Qi lowered her eyes warily, taking small, quick steps back, her little hand reaching into her small slanted bag.
Just as those men were about to surround and capture Sang Qi, Sang Qi suddenly pulled out a crossbow from his bag and fired several arrows in quick succession.
The people who surrounded them were caught off guard and fell to the ground, all struck by arrows.
Seeing that the people had fallen, Sang Qi quickly went forward, picked up their flashlights, and hid to the side.
Sang Qi had just dodged when someone grabbed the back of her collar. The person behind her pulled so hard that they practically dragged her away.
Sang Qi kicked her legs wildly, frantically reaching into her bag for pepper spray, and sprayed it into the face of the person behind her.
After she sprayed a few times, the man was heard rolling on the ground, covering his eyes and howling incessantly.
"Bang!"
No sooner had this problem been resolved than a gunshot rang out.
The shot was aimed at Sang Qi, but it missed and hit the vase next to her. Broken pieces of hair from the vase splashed onto Sang Qi's face, leaving a shallow cut.
Sang Qi screamed and crouched down, covering her head.
Gunfire erupted again, continuing to fire in Sang Qi's direction.
The surrounding glass windows and wine glasses were shattered one after another, and hair fell onto the marble floor tiles, the sounds of glass breaking and falling to the ground were crisp and pleasant.
The approaching gunmen immediately enraged Sang Qi. Gritting her teeth, she gripped her crossbow tightly. Just as the man finished firing six bullets and was changing magazines, Sang Qi suddenly stood up, raised her crossbow, and fired an arrow.
Before he could react, he was struck by a flying arrow and fell to the ground. Those around him, seeing Sang Qi launch an attack, quickly concentrated their fire on Sang Qi.
"ah."
Seeing several people firing at him at the same time, Sang Qi quickly covered his head and crouched down.
After several bullets missed their mark, a few more gunshots rang out, coming from behind Sang Qi.
Sang Qi was alarmed. Was there another sneak attack from behind? Wouldn't that mean he was doomed?
Just when Sang Qi thought he was about to be shot and die...
"Walk."
That was Lu Min's voice.
Sang Qi turned around and recognized Lu Min in the darkness.
It turned out that Sang Qi had just dodged the gunfire from those men at the same time. Just as those men were about to rush forward and shoot at Sang Qi, Lu Min, who happened to be behind Sang Qi, shot and killed them.
Seeing that Lu Min was safe and sound, Sang Qi was relieved and quickly took his hand and followed him.
Linna had already helped the seriously injured Zaxi escape and get into the car. Now, Lu Min and Sang Qiyi risked their lives to rush out.
A dozen or so people were blocking the entrance. Lu Min raised his gun and fired, while Sang Qi, with his crossbow in hand, unleashed a barrage of arrows until he ran out of arrows.
Black-clad thugs surged forward like a tide, blocking Sang Qi and Lu Min's path. Just then, the sounds of car tires screeching against the ground and car engines could be heard not far away.
Just then, Lin Na drove up, smashed through everyone blocking the entrance, and finally drifted and swerved to block Sang Qi and Lu Min's path.
"Get in the car quickly!" Linna shouted anxiously.
Lu Min immediately jumped into the car, then reached out his hand to Sang Qi, who quickly grabbed Lu Min's hand.
Lu Min exerted force with his arm, and at the same time, Sang Qi leaped forward with all his might, lightly jumping into the car.
The car door closed, Lin Na turned the steering wheel, stepped on the gas, and sped off. The pursuers followed in their cars, relentlessly chasing after her.
Sang Qi took out two more smoke grenades from his bag, pulled the pins, and threw them behind him. The smoke grenades rolled onto the road, producing thick white smoke.
The smoke obscured everything, even the high beams of cars couldn't penetrate it. Vehicles chasing behind were blinded by the thick smoke and couldn't see the road, so they slowed down immediately, and some even had chain collisions.
The car that escaped Chiba Villa sped through the dark streets and into the city, illuminated by streetlights.
Once they entered the city, everyone felt relieved.
Lu Min looked at Zaxi in the passenger seat and asked, "Are you alright?"
Although Zaxi was shot and bleeding, and his face was pale, he was still conscious. It seemed that the medicine Lu Min had given him for bandaging was working.
Zaxi smiled and said, "Not dead, not bad."
"You've been shot?" Sang Qi realized that Zaxi had been shot.
Zaxi glanced back at Sangqi: "It's nothing."
"Sigh," Sang Qi sighed, "Luckily, it didn't hit a vital spot."
Zaxi, however, didn't take it seriously. He had been injured much more severely during a mission when he was a special forces soldier, and he had survived it.
Therefore, he didn't care much about this minor gunshot wound.
"We're going to the hospital now." Lin Na turned onto the overpass and headed towards the hospital.
Sang Qi exclaimed, "Sister Na's driving skills are amazing! So impressive!"
Lin Na smiled and said, "You're pretty good too. With a crossbow in hand, you never miss a shot. You're almost as good as Li Xunhuan's Flying Dagger."
Zaxi laughed and said, "Of course! Sangqi, you've really impressed me. You look like a rich young lady, but I didn't expect you to be so skilled."
"Honestly, if it weren't for your little tricks, like the sirens and sabotaging the circuits, it would have taken us much longer to escape," Linna said.
"So, Sang Qi is still quite clever and resourceful."
This was the first time Sang Qi had been praised like this, and she was a little smug. She just kept smiling and didn't notice Lu Min's furious eyes next to her.
By the time Sang Qi noticed, it was too late.
"I'm sorry," Sang Qi said, immediately admitting her mistake. "I was wrong, I'll never do it again."
"You fucking think I'm just ignoring you, huh?" Lu Min cursed again.
Sang Qi lowered his head, feeling guilty, and remained silent.
"you……"
Just as Lu Min was about to start cursing again, he saw Sang Qi looking aggrieved, with red eyes and a drooping head. His hardened heart softened like cotton candy, and even his greatest anger dissipated.
Lu Min: "Okay, okay, I won't scold you anymore."
He couldn't stand Sang Qi's pitiful look, and he couldn't bring himself to vent his anger on her.
Sang Qi snorted and mumbled, "Why are you being so fierce?"
There wasn't a trace of complaint in her tone.
"Who told you to disobey? If you disobey again, I'll be even fiercer!" Lu Min frowned.
"Hmph." Sang Qi feigned anger and snorted coldly.
"Okay, don't be angry anymore, be good, I'm not angry anymore." Lu Min coaxed Sang Qi gently, his rough fingers lightly kneading Sang Qi's pink earlobe.
Sang Qi pushed his hand away: "Don't touch me."
Lu Min: "..."
At that moment, Linna and Zaxi were both dumbfounded. The usually domineering Lu Min was actually coaxing the girl like a warm-hearted man, with his actions, mannerisms, and tone of voice being extremely gentle.
In this situation, Lu Min was already being lenient by not cursing her ancestors, but now he not only doesn't get angry, but he's also happily trying to coax the girl.
That's truly a strange story.
In Linna and Zaxi's eyes, no woman had ever made Lu Min like this, except for Sang Qi.
It can only be Sang Qi.
