Chapter 206: Losing both the wife and the army
Around five in the morning, when the sky was just getting light, Chu Qiao suddenly felt a heaviness on her chest. Her eyes snapped open and she lowered her head. A sparrow flapped its wings nimbly and flew away from her body.
Chu Qiao didn't care and closed his eyes.
But within ten minutes, my chest felt heavy again.
Chu Qiao frowned and suddenly opened his eyes. The weight on his chest was still the same, but it was no longer the sparrow, but a 20-centimeter-long fat rat.
A gray-haired mountain rat, shaking its long and thin tail, with two round ears standing on its head, and its eyes moving smartly, observing its surroundings.
If it weren't for the bacteria and viruses on it, Chu Qiao wouldn't find it disgusting.
When Xiao Diao heard the movement above, he suddenly jumped up from his motionless body and pounced upwards. Chu Qiao was almost on the treetop, and Xiao Diao could not reach him at all.
The bold mouse was gnawing on the persimmon hanging around Chu Qiao's neck. Its two huge incisors kept colliding with each other, making a "clicking" sound.
Chu Qiao pointed at the gray mouse on his chest.
"You want this?"
Xiao Diaoao yelled and nodded.
The noise did not scare away the mouse on Chu Qiao's chest, but there was a commotion in the bushes, and a shadow about half a meter tall ran away.
Chu Qiao frowned, and although his body did not move, his eyes kept moving, looking around, not wanting to miss any movement.
The movement just now seemed like an illusion and never appeared again. The surroundings were as calm as the surface of windless water.
Chu Qiao relaxed, at least there was no danger for the time being.
Xiao Diao was not aware of the danger just now, and was still concentrating on looking at the rat on Chu Qiao's body.
Chu Qiao pulled the corner of his lips helplessly, and when the time was right, he grabbed the mouse's slender tail.
The mouse struggled in Chu Qiao's hands, its thin legs kicking in the air, and the persimmon in its mouth, which it had not yet finished eating, fell out and hit Xiao Diao on the head.
Xiao Diao shook his head and grabbed the tree trunk with his front paws.
"You're so anxious because you didn't eat meat for a day?"
Chu Qiao was half joking, half serious.
Xiao Diao put down his paw and tried to look away, but couldn't help but look over again.
Chu Qiao smiled and said, "Okay, I'll give it to you right away." As she spoke, she held up her tail and bumped into the tree next to her. The mouse's round little eyes became bigger and bigger as it got closer to the tree trunk.
With a "bang", its body went limp.
Chu Qiao threw the mouse down from the tree. Xiao Diao opened his mouth wide and caught it with his mouth without waiting for it to hit the ground. In two or three bites, the mouse went into his stomach.
Chu Qiao shook his head and thought he would need to get another shot of anthelmintic when he got back.
Xiao Diao ate too fast and didn't taste anything at all. He looked at Chu Qiao eagerly.
Chu Qiao spread his hands and said, "No more. I'll throw two persimmons to you. Maybe they'll attract some mice."
As he spoke, Chu Qiao pulled off two persimmons from the necklace he had put on and threw them to Xiao Diao.
Xiao Diao placed the persimmon one meter away, lay quietly on the ground, and waited for the mouse to come to him.
Chu Qiao closed his eyes and took a short nap before dawn.
In the early morning, the drone's buzzing sound kept ringing in Chu Qiao's ears.
However, what woke Chu Qiao up was not the sound of the drone, the sunshine, the birds, or even the brave mice, but a refreshing fragrance.
Chu Qiao shrugged, took a deep breath, stretched himself, and felt relaxed all over.
The corners of her mouth curled up, and an inexplicable feeling of ecstasy made her gasp for breath and greedily take a few more breaths.
At this moment, on the live broadcast screen, the sun was shining on Chu Qiao's body. The exposed parts of his body were covered by the clothes made of reed catkins. However, the short clothes could not completely cover Chu Qiao's figure. The thin shoulders, the sunken collarbone, and the slender lines occasionally exposed at the waist were all eye-catching.
Chu Qiao opened his eyes. Although there weren't many people online, there were already quite a few comments:
"Oh my god, Master Chu, I can't take my eyes off you even though I'm a woman."
"Why don't you just look at the shoulders? I'm worried that Mr. Chu will be exposed."
"Yes, yes, everyone, start posting comments and protect our Master Chu."
"I just came out of Tykeson's live studio, and the chicken there suddenly doesn't taste good anymore."
Chu Qiao straightened his reed-flowered clothes and took a deep breath. "Even though you can't smell it, I still want to share. What I find most special about this jungle and other jungles is the fragrance in the morning. It's so nostalgic."
After about half an hour, the fragrance dissipated.
Chu Qiao's eyelids drooped a little, and he felt a little reluctant.
Xiao Diao was crying and circling around the tree trunk. Chu Qiao shook his head and shook off the feeling of nostalgia.
"Go down immediately, don't rush." Chu Qiao said as he untied the rope made of tree bark on his body.
Chu Qiao rubbed her numb legs, and her reed-flowered clothes kept shaking as she climbed.
As soon as he went down, Xiao Diao couldn't wait to pull Chu Qiao's reed skirt.
"Don't pull it, it's not tight to begin with, it's going to fall off."
Chicken Little: "Did Xiao Diao do that on purpose?"
"Absolutely."
Chu Qiao interrupted everyone and said, "Don't talk nonsense. Our Xiao Diao is a girl, and Xiao Yan is a boy."
Chicken Little: "Then I feel relieved. I can't let the male pervert see it for nothing."
As he spoke, Xiao Diao had already dragged Chu Qiao to the side of the tree, and kicked the fruit peels on the ground with his aggrieved claws.
There was nothing on the ground except the persimmon peels lying on the ground.
Chu Qiao chuckled: "I asked you to catch a mouse, but you didn't catch any and the bait is gone."
"Just now I was praising Xiao Diao as an old wolf, but it was a bit early to praise him."
"Not only did we lose the wife, but we also lost our soldiers!"
"Xiao Diao is about to cry out of grievance."
Chu Qiao smiled and broke off a few branches from a nearby tree.
"Okay, don't be depressed. I'll make a mouse trap to help you vent your anger."
Chu Qiao comforted Xiao Diao while explaining to the camera, "Mountain rats are very common in the wild. They have a wide distribution range and strong adaptability. Mountain rats can give birth to seven or eight babies at a time and reproduce quickly. There are a lot of them in the wild."
"The one that climbed onto me last night was a mountain rat. It's easy to find traces of mountain rats in the jungle. We set a trap where they climbed yesterday."
"There are actually many types of traps for catching mountain mice, but we have limited materials, so we can only make a simple mousetrap using branches and rope."
Chu Qiao tied the rope to a rock the size of an American football. She passed the other end of the rope through the branches of a large tree, then through the exposed roots, changing the direction of the rope. Finally, she tied this end of the rope to a half-meter-long branch as a trigger rod.
"By passing the rope through the branches, we can increase the height of the stone, so that when the stone falls, it will have more power."
"Now this rockfall trap is done. Now I'm going to make a few more to increase the chances of catching mountain rats."
