Chapter 100: Clearly Targeting

"Ugh, military academy is such a gambler," Xiong Ruoyou muttered under her breath, her voice not quiet enough for Mu Qingyun, who was standing next to her, to hear clearly.

"Don't say it." She gently tugged at Xiong Ruoyou's hand, quickly stopping her.

After all, we're on someone else's turf now, and there's a live streaming device involved, so it's best to keep your words to yourself. Once we get out of here, you can say whatever you want.

...

On the other side, Mu Jingfeng looked at the live stream about Mu Qingyun on his phone and his eyes turned cold.

Her hunting of virtual creatures with swarms of snakes is quite a big deal, but why is there not a single related search result on the trending searches?

Could it be...?

"Old Zhou, come here!" he shouted, and Old Zhou, who was checking documents next to him, quickly came over.

"Your Majesty."

"Go check why Mu Qingyun and the snake swarm aren't in the trending searches, and also let the military academy know." He frowned, feeling more surprise than disdain.

He looked down on Mu Qingyun, but he was also shocked by her ability to manipulate snakes.

What makes her so outstanding?!

Old Zhou knew this royal secret perfectly well. He was stunned for a moment, and wanted to say a few words of advice, but when he saw Mu Jingfeng's cold gaze sweep over him, he could only swallow his words.

...

The scorching sun had subsided slightly, and just as the group returned to the house, a mechanical female voice suddenly came from the live-streaming device on Mu Qingyun's wrist.

"Ms. Mu Qingyun, are you there?"

"Yes," she replied.

Upon hearing her response, the mechanical female voice immediately began tuning its frequency. The next moment, the mechanical female voice disappeared, replaced by a familiar voice.

"Mu Qingyun, do you know your mistake?"

He is the head of the trial panel.

Mu Qingyun lowered her eyes slightly. "What did I do wrong?"

The team leader seemed to have anticipated this response, his tone flat and emotionless, "What do you think? Last night and tonight, you violated regulations by using the snake swarm to obtain virtual creature points, and you're not wrong?"

"Of course I'm not wrong. I don't remember your military academy having any rule against using snakes," she scoffed. "Others don't use them because they don't have the capability. Why do you change the rules now that I've used them?"

These words were so powerful that they made the viewers in the live stream shout "Brother Mu is awesome!"

The team leader remained unmoved, saying, "We've always assumed that hunting virtual creatures relies on our own abilities."

"Does manipulating snakes not count as a skill?" Mu Qingyun couldn't help but sneer. "I can accept not manipulating them in the future, but my previous actions were all reasonable and compliant. They were your own mistakes, and you can't blame me."

Because of Mu Jingfeng, she now has no good feelings towards this military academy. She claims it is the most fair, but in reality, it still depends on status and background.

Someone like her, who offended Mu Xueyao, was given the unreasonable demand to earn 1,000 points within ten days. Mu Jingfeng could come here at will and forcibly shut down her live stream. How can this be considered fair?

"..."

The team leader didn't really have anything to say. He also felt that Mu Qingyun hadn't done anything wrong. It was the military academy's review team that hadn't considered things carefully, and now they were insisting on finding fault with Mu Qingyun.

This incident was indeed the military academy's fault.

"Okay, the rules will be revised. For the next few months, you can't use snake swarms, and of course, you can't use rabbit swarms, bird flocks, or anything else you can control."

As they were talking, the team leader looked up at the note the military academy leader had given him and sighed, "If it's discovered, not only will your selection be cancelled, but you'll also be sent to a military prison."

[What? A military prison? That can't be serious, isn't it? This is a bit too targeted.]

[My goodness, military prisons are full of social scourges and interstellar criminals. Regular criminals are probably handed over to the planetary guard, right?]

Why? Just because Brother Mu manipulated the snakes? I really don't understand.

...

Su frowned upon hearing this and glanced at Mu Qingyun. Mu Qingyun, however, remained expressionless, seemingly unconcerned, or perhaps unaware of what a military prison was.

Who did she offend? This is really ruthless.

"Okay." Mu Qingyun nodded calmly, knowing in her heart that it must have been Mu Jingfeng's doing, as it was in the original owner's memories of the military prison.

It was used by the aunt who took care of the original owner to scare the original owner when he was disobedient as a child.

Having agreed, the team leader didn't bother to say anything more, immediately turned off the intercom, and restored the normal frequency.

He just didn't understand why he had to be the one to say it. He was worried that he would suffer an undeserved disaster because of such an infuriating thing.

Mu Qingyun put down her hand and pointed into the room, "I'm going to take a nap. I didn't sleep much last night, I'm too tired."

"Hmm." The four people looked at her, each with a different expression.

Xiong Ruoyou was furious. She didn't understand why it had to be such a serious matter as going to a military prison just because she was taking a different approach.

Kazel exchanged a knowing glance with Mu Qingyun. Only that person could pull off such a level of targeting.

The afternoon was supposed to be a time to relax, but Sue and Kazel clearly didn't want to relax.

"What? You're going to hunt virtual creatures?" Xiong Ruoyou looked at the two of them and felt that they must be a little crazy.

Why not just rest properly? Why make things difficult for yourself?

"Mm." Su responded and walked out without waiting for Xiong Ruoyou to ask any more questions.

Things should be done sooner rather than later. It's better to succeed sooner, or at least the next few days will be easier. If you rest today, the next few days will be hellish.

The two turned and left. Xiong Ruoyou glanced at them, then turned to Fan Xuanye beside her. "Why don't we go too?"

Fan Xuanye glanced at her and said indifferently, "The number of virtual creatures released each day is limited. We've already hunted so many today, so we probably won't encounter any more."

"Hey, then I'll go catch up with them and tell them." Xiong Ruoyou propped herself up on her arms and was about to run away when Fan Xuanye grabbed her hand.

"What's wrong?"

"No need, let them go. Maybe they'll get lucky and find a virtual creature." Fan Xuan Ye pulled hard and pressed Xiong Ruoyou back to the ground. "You should rest and recuperate."

After saying that, he got up and went back to the next room to rest.

Xiong Ruoyou glanced at him, frowned in confusion, muttered something under her breath, and went back to her room.

At dusk, the sun was setting.

Mu Qingyun, however, was trapped in the dream and could not get out.

"Brother Yun, didn't you say that Tan'er is more important than the throne? Why, why did you frame Tan'er?" The young man, though not old, looked at her with tears in his eyes, his eyes filled with resentment.

"Your Majesty, you married me only to secure your position, didn't you?" A beautiful woman dressed in Huadu stood before the throne, tearfully denouncing her crimes.
