Chapter 252 Slowly Changing

"You brought me here, can her soul be transferred into my body?" Mu Qingyun then asked.

Faced with this question, Su Zhou could only shake his head. "I don't know. No one can say for sure. Your Majesty had a deadly poison in your body before. Perhaps your body doesn't have the conditions for her to transfer to you."

Oh, I see.

She nodded knowingly. "Strategist, you go back first. I will try my best to persuade Su Qiluo."

“No need, Your Majesty,” Su Zhou looked up at her and smiled gently. “It was I who wronged him, and it’s right that he resents me. But I don’t regret what I did. At least this way, everyone is still alive.”

Upon hearing this, Mu Qingyun remained silent.

She could tell from her previous interactions with the strategist that he cared about the world, not just himself.

"Alright, I'll be going now." She glanced at the strategist one last time, hesitated for a moment, and then added, "May all your wishes come true and may your dreams be fulfilled."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Su Zhou instantly understood her meaning and immediately smiled. Sure enough, His Majesty was like him, valuing not the person.

As soon as Mu Qingyun looked up upon entering the villa, she met Su Qiluo's gaze.

Su Qiluo was standing at the bottom of the stairs, staring coldly at her, while the doctor sat awkwardly on the sofa, unsure of what to say.

"Didn't I tell you not to go looking for him?"

He stared at her coldly, his eyes flashing with icy chill, as if he might lose control at any moment.

Mu Qingyun glanced back at him. "He's my strategist. I have something to say to him."

"Is that so?" A dark red glint appeared in Su Qiluo's eyes. He clenched his fist, strode up to her, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her forward sharply.

Mu Qingyun was led forward by him. She was actually capable of resisting, but she didn't want to resist Su Qiluo, since he wouldn't hurt her anyway.

As he pulled her forward by the hand, she even turned her head to look at the doctor.

Seeing this, the doctor clearly couldn't sit still any longer and stood up to try and stop it.

She quickly gave him a look to stop him.

She was dragged and pulled into the house. Su Qiluo locked the door, threw her onto the bed, and then pressed down on her.

Mu Qingyun, who was pinned to the bed, was unusually obedient. Su Qiluo held her hands above her head, and she complied without resisting.

"You two have a good relationship?" Su Qiluo deliberately whispered in her ear, his warm breath making her scalp tingle.

"Yes, we are the best ruler and his subject." She raised her eyes, looked at Su Qiluo, and said calmly.

"Heh, I don't care if you guys are good or not. Anyway, I don't like him, so I'll talk to him less in the future." Su Qiluo's eyes were cold and gloomy. After saying that, he lowered his head and kissed her lips.

A fierce battle broke out silently, but fortunately the walls were soundproof enough that their voices could not be heard.

The doctor stood in the living room, turning left and right every now and then, occasionally glancing up at Su Qiluo's room, his eyes filled with worry.

He didn't know what Su Qiluo would become from the Hellfire. His previous worries stemmed from the fact that this was an unknown change, and the unknown is what's most terrifying.

Thinking of this, he opened his communicator, dialed a few numbers, and as soon as the other end answered, he quickly said in a low voice, "Are you free? Take me to the prison. I want to see those Hellfire ability users."

He heard something else on the other end, which sounded like agreement, and he nodded in satisfaction before hanging up the communicator.

He sat back down on the sofa and began to wait.

From noon to night, he waited anxiously, growing increasingly worried that Su Qiluo might be controlled by the Hellfire and do something bad.

But he could only worry in vain. He knocked on the door, but neither Su Qiluo nor Mu Qingyun answered him.

Reluctantly, he returned to the sofa. Around nine o'clock in the evening, Su Qiluo finally opened the door with a satisfied expression.

He seemed surprised to see the doctor still there, his face full of astonishment when he saw him.

Why are you still here?

"Mu Qingyun, she..."

"She has me, you don't need to worry about her." He gave a cold look, and after saying this, he ignored the doctor and went straight to the kitchen to start preparing a meal.

This was the first time the doctor had been coldly reprimanded by Su Qiluo. He stared blankly as Su Qiluo went to the kitchen to cook, unconsciously tightening his grip on the communicator on his wrist.

It seems he made the right decision.

He turned and left, then went to the prison with the person he had contacted that day.

The prison is tiered, with each inmate having a different cell, while the Hellfire ability users are placed in a separate, more secure prison.

Hellfire ability users are all very powerful. If we don't have some powerful people guarding them, who knows what kind of trouble might arise.

"Doctor, the people being held up ahead are the Hellfire ability users."

The doctor nodded upon hearing this, and started walking forward. As he walked, people around him promptly handed him relevant information.

He held them in his hands and looked at them one by one.

These people had remarkably similar experiences; almost everyone had been exceptional individuals before, and everyone had also encountered some unpleasant things.

Their evil is not apparent at first, but it becomes more and more obvious as time goes on, and this evil is also reflected in their behavior.

"Their evil wasn't present from the beginning; it was spurred on by various events," the doctor said, frowning as he reviewed the information on those individuals.

Upon hearing this, the man smiled and said, "But the things that provoke them are all minor matters. In daily life, most people would just endure it for a while and things would calm down, but they are different."

“They’ll get angrier and angrier, fixating on that one thing. Others can tolerate things from the past, but they can’t.” The doctor closed the information booklet and handed it to the person next to him.

"Thank you for bringing me here."

The doctor lowered his eyes; he had come to understand something from this trip.

Now that the hellfire has awakened, we can only try to suppress it.

...

Mu Qingyun opened her eyes and looked at the ceiling. She reached out and brushed the stray hairs from her forehead. When she raised her hand, the red marks all over her arm made her sigh helplessly.

She realized that Su Qiluo had just done this to get revenge on her, and that's why he didn't care whether she could handle it or not.

She sat up in bed and put on some clothes. Su Qiluo was quite considerate; he not only helped her clean up but also brought her a large nightgown.

"Bang--"

The door was suddenly pushed open, and she looked up to see Su Qiluo untying his apron. He glanced at her nightgown and nodded with satisfaction. "Dinner's ready. Come out and eat."

"Has the doctor left?"

She asked, since they both thought the Doctor would take the matter of Hellfire very seriously, but to their surprise, the Doctor did not show a strong reaction after learning about it.

"They're gone."

She walked over and hugged Su Qiluo tightly. "Feeling better now?"
