After a kiss tinged with the scent of red wine, he lowered his eyes, looking at Mu Qingyun's rosy lips, and suddenly asked, "Tonight, can I not wear it?"
"Okay." Mu Qingyun chuckled, seemingly unintentionally licking her sweet lips, then stopped eating and hugged him directly.
Stumbling into the bedroom, Su Qiluo supported her waist, turned his head suggestively, and nuzzled her cheek, "Aren't you going to eat?"
"I'm not eating anymore." She looked up, met his gaze, and kissed him again almost without hesitation.
In the living room, the red candles used for decoration were burning brightly, sending up wisps of smoke that surrounded the vibrant red roses.
The next morning, after breakfast, she went to explain to the doctor and arranged the next destination with the scientists.
Since she returned to rest last time, she hasn't been able to stimulate the growth of the plants for almost twenty days.
Led by Su Qiluo, the two drove to the agreed-upon location.
Their destination was a desert location.
The desert is no easier to manage than polluted soil. While she was away, scientists had already administered a chemical treatment to the desert, and all she needed to do was to encourage plant growth.
The scientists still treated her with respect, and did not show any anger or sarcasm because she had been resting for too long.
She was quite surprised by this.
As she watched the scientists plant the seeds, she quickly raised her hand, her plant powers swirling between her palms before being injected into the seeds.
After working all day, Mu Qingyun turned her head to look at the lush greenery behind her, then at the yellow desert in front of her, and sighed helplessly.
“With a few more efforts in a few more areas, we can stabilize the magnetic field.” A scientist handed her his small map and placed it in front of her. “Your Highness, look, most of Capa Dome is water, and some areas are residential. We only need to work on these few more areas.”
"Okay." She glanced at it and nodded.
At night, tents appeared one after another next to the plants she had just planted; these were where they would stay for the night.
It's too far from the military academy. Although the car can drive itself and is extremely fast, it will still take a lot of time to go back and forth. It would be better to just stay here for a few days.
Su Qiluo asked the logistics manager for a tent and quickly set it up while she was still 'working'.
He picked it up randomly, and only after setting it up did he realize that there was actually an alpaca on the tent. The toy alpaca stood against the wind, a smile on its lips, looking down at him.
A person and a dolled alpaca staring at each other in a lush, desert landscape—it's just so eerie.
When Mu Qingyun and some scientists arrived, they saw Su Qiluo staring at the doll alpaca.
She was about to make a mocking remark, but as soon as she opened her mouth, Su Qiluo glanced at her coldly. She tried her best to suppress the smile on her lips and pretended to be serious: "You're quite cute, really."
Upon hearing this, Su Qiluo looked at her barely suppressed smile, gave a helpless twitch of his lips, and said with an almost cold laugh, "Is that so?"
Seeing that his gaze was becoming increasingly dangerous, she coughed softly and quickly walked into the tent.
Su Qiluo gave the scientists watching a deathly smile, then turned and went into the tent.
Seeing this, the scientists exchanged glances, then quickly returned to their tents without lingering.
After such a long day, they were exhausted.
However, shortly after they left, the alpaca tent suddenly began to shake violently, and then it began to shake incessantly until midnight.
The scientists, looking at Mu Qingyun with her dark circles and Su Qiluo with her satisfied expression, fell silent.
After an unknown period of silence, a slightly younger scientist cautiously spoke up, "Um, why don't you go back and rest for a while longer?"
"No need. She just looked unwell. I channeled a lot of light-based energy into her, and she should have recovered by now." Su Qiluo politely declined on her behalf, to which she could only smile and remain silent.
Seriously, all I did last night was mock his alpaca tent, why did he have to mess with her until midnight?
"Really?" The young scientist was clearly a naive kid; seeing this, he didn't know when to shut up and kept asking.
Sure enough, Su Qiluo's smile froze for a moment, but the next second he chuckled and nudged her lower back, "I'm asking you a question."
Mu Qingyun: "..."
"I'm fine, keep going." A cryptic smile appeared on her lips. She glanced at Su Qiluo, and when no one was looking, she punched him hard in the chest!
Hearing a muffled thud behind them, the scientists quickly turned around to look, only to see Su Qiluo frowning and Mu Qingyun smiling broadly.
Mu Qingyun met their gazes with a generous smile, "Why aren't you moving? What are you all doing here?"
As soon as she said that, the scientists immediately turned their heads away, looking as if they hadn't seen anything, and hurriedly walked into the desert.
"You're trying to murder your husband!" Su Qiluo clutched her chest. She had used ninety percent of her strength in that attack. Only Su Qiluo's quick reflexes and strong physique allowed her to withstand it. Anyone else would have been dead long ago.
"You're really clever. I'm tired of looking at your face. I advise you to behave yourself, or I'll replace you anytime." Mu Qingyun deliberately adopted a bit of the demeanor of a former emperor as he spoke, his brows exuding a sense of majesty.
Seeing her like this, Su Qiluo didn't dare to say anything for a moment.
He was truly bewildered by her actions, unable to discern whether she was angry or not, or whether what she said was true.
But after a short while, he snapped out of his daze.
He caught a sly smile in Mu Qingyun's eyes. Although it was a fleeting emotion, it did not escape his notice.
She was lying to him, and she was acting so convincingly.
Most importantly, they actually managed to trick him into going in!
"You dare." He deliberately gave him a cold look. "If you still want your waist, you'd better give up on that idea."
"Say it again?" Mu Qingyun kept a close eye on his eyes, making sure there was no redness in them before she turned cold and adopted an unyielding stance.
"I was wrong." Su Qiluo compromised very quickly, but although he compromised verbally, his face still had that 'you just wait' expression.
Seeing this, Mu Qingyun became interested, "Where did they all go wrong?"
"You're wrong about everything," Su Qiluo said in a muffled voice. Seeing that her expression had improved, he immediately smiled and said, "Are you calmed down yet? If not, I'll say a few more words."
"...Get to work." She left those words behind and walked away.
